Improvement of Transient Characteristics at middle and low Speed Region of induction Motor using Adaptive identification (파라미터 적응동정에 의한 유도전동기의 중.저속운정 과도특성개선)

  • Vector controlled induction motor have been widely used in high performance applications. How-ever the performance is sensitive to the variations of motor parameters especially the rotor time constant which varies with the temperature and the saturation of the magnetizing inductance. In this paper the authors propose new identifying method for time-varying parameters of an induction motor which is based on adaptive vector control with serial block algorithm. Vector con-trol system realized on synchronous frame and parameter identification system realized on sta-tionary frame are not easily affected by the vector control frame. Parameter mismatch in the control system results in heavy transient variation in speed and torque response. In order to compensate degradation of the responses at the middle and low speed region adaptive identifier is introduced. To verify the feasibility of this technique compute simu-lations carried out.

  • In this paper, a hybrid semi-3D path planning algorithm combining Virtual Tangential Vector(VTV) and fuzzy control is proposed. 3D dynamic environmental factors are reflected to the 2D path planning model, VTV. As a result, the robot can control direction from 2D path planning algorithm VTV and speed as well depending on the fuzzy inputs such as the distance between the robot and obstacle, roughness and slope. Performances and feasibilities of the suggested method are demonstrated by using Matlab simulations. Simulation results show that fuzzy rules and obstacle avoidance methods are working properly toward virtual 3D environments. The proposed hybrid semi-3D path planning is expected to be well applicable to a real life environment, considering its simplicity and realistic nature of the dynamic factors included.

  • This paper is study for design SOC composing space vector control algorithm of sensorless BLDC motor by H/W and apply this to operating machanism of washing machine system. it is study that increases control efficiency than S/W control algorithm and enhances response for change of system and authoritativeness of controller.   • This paper presents a servo control scheme for the surface-mounted permanent-magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM) which essentially uses vector control algorithm. The control system is composed of the PI controller for speed control and the current controller using space voltage vector PWM technique. The high-speed calculation and processing for vector control is carried out by TMS320C31 digital signal processor and IGBT module. The proposed scheme is verified through digital simulations and experiments for 2.2kW SPMSM and shows good dynamic performance.

  • In this paper, the voltage equation of the stationary reference frame was reduced in squirrelcage induction motor using vector control algorithm, and changed that of the d-q synchronously rotating reference frame, so the torque equation was reached, and propose vector control algorithm for speed control. Also the real time control was possibled using DSP(TMS320C31) to experiment system which show high accuracy speed response characteristics by liner current control using space voltage vector PWM method.

  • In this paper, we propose the algorithm which can control active power and reactive power independently in Battery Energy Storage System. The proposed algorithm is based on the instantaneous power theory that the inner product of the voltage vector and current vector represents the active power and the cross product of those represents the reactive power, and it can control active power and reactive power independently. To verify the validity of the proposed algorithm, we make model of the real power system in th KERI and simulate this algorithm. As a result of this simulation, we verified that the proposed algorithm can control active power and reactive power independently.

  • Genetic algorithm is well known for stochastic searching method in imitating natural phenomena. In recent times, studies have been conducted in improving conventional evolutionary computation speed and promoting precision. This paper presents an approach to optimize PID controller gains with the application of modified Genetic Algorithm using Support Vector Machine (SVMGA). That is, we aim to explore optimum parameters of PID controller using SVMGA. Simulation results are given to compare to those of tuning methods, based on Simple Genetic Algorithm and Ziegler-Nicholas tuning method.

  • This paper presents a sensorless vector control algorithm of closed loop Gopinath flux observer to enhance the robustness at low speed by switching P/PI mode. Closed loop Gopinath flux observer has the problem in sensorless vector control of induction motor at low speed. This paper solves the problem using the characteristic function of closed loop Gopinath flux observer. P mode shows better performance than PI mode under the cut-off frequency of observer. But P mode always has a flux error due to DC offset, so this paper combines P mode and PI mode. This algorithm shows good performance over wide speed range. The performance has been confirmed through computer simulations using MATLAB SIMULINK and experiments.

  • 2-D shape matching algorithm is proposed which uses pivot vector and componentwise adaptive convergence factor. It is proved that proposed algorithm has better result than any other algorithm. It is to be expected that this algorithm will work effectively in 3-D shape matching.

  • The wound rotor type induction motor(WRIM) control system which is widely used in the industry has many maintenance problem because of external resistors and magnetic contactors. In this paper, the simple sensorless vector control algorithm for WRIM is proposed without any additional devices except detecting rotor currents. Because the external resistors are disconnectd and the rotor slip rings are shorten, the power loss due to external resistors is removed and the maintenance problem is improved remarkably. Also, the vector control performance becomes better because the proposed sensorless vector control algorithm does not use the rotor resistance which is usually used to estimate the slip frequency in case of indirect vector control scheme. The proposed algorithm is verified by the digital simulation and the experiment.
