  • Current physics-based simulation is an important tool in the fluid animation. However some problems require a new change to current research trends which depend only on the simulation. The ultimate goal of this project is to obtain information of flow example, analyze an example through machine learning and the novel fluid animation reconfigure without physical simulation.

  • Efficient in vitro RNA synthesis can be easily accomplished from cloned DNA using bactrio-phage SP6, T7 or T3 RNA polymerase. Despite its popularity as in vitro transcription system, molecular mechanisms of bacteriophage transcription has not been studied, although physical and catalytic properties of several phage RNA polymerases have well been documented (1). Only recently the T7 promoter has been physically mapped by footprinting of the T7 RNA polymerase (2,3). These simple phage systems, however, could be useful for detailed molecular studies of transcription.

  • Polyethylenimine (PEI) has been used as a non-viral gene delivery carrier. To improve the efficacy of transfection, transferrin was incorporated by covalent linkage to PEI. As a model plasmid DNA, pHME185/b-gal, a mammalian expression vector was used. The transferrin-polyethylenimine (TfPEI) was synthesized by conjugate PEI with transferrin using sodium periodateand and characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR. (omitted)

  • In is paper, a novel dead time compensation method is presented which produces inverter output voltages equal to reference voltages. An experimental result is also presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed method. The reference voltage can be used as a feedback value, which is essential for sensorless vector control and flux estimation. The method can be carried out automatically by an inverter controller for initial set-up without any extra hardware.

  • This paper presents a proper rational transfer function synthesis in the continuous time system from noisy measurements. The proposed method identifies the coefficients vector of the transfer function from an overdetermined linear system that develops from rearranging the two dimensional system matrices and output vectors obtained from the observed frequency responses. By computer simulation, the performance improvement is verified.

  • Three recently introduced tenchniques in the area of nuclear analysis are discussed : the structure-factor method of evaluating group material properties, the vector-synthesis method of generating three-dimensional multigroup flux distributions, and an indirect method of defining optimal restricted partitions of neutron phase-space. Each new method is compared with other commonly employed techniques and is shown to be a simplification which leads to a reductions in computational effort while retaining acceptable accuracy.

벡타 연산을 효율적으로 수행하기 위한 다중 스레드 구조 (A Multithreaded Architecture for the Efficient Execution of Vector Computations)

  • 본 논문에서는 벡타연산을 효율적으로 수행하고 대단위 병렬시스템을 지원하는 다중 스레드구조, MULVEC(MULtithreaded architecture of the VEctor Computations) 을 제시한다. MULVEC은 데이타플로우 모델에 수퍼 스칼라 RISC 마이크로 프로세서를 갖는 기존의 폰 노이만 모델을 도입하였다. 그리고 동일한 스레드 세그멘트내에 벡타 연산이 반복되는 경우에 상태필드를 이용하여 동기화의 수를 감축시켰으며, 이에 의해 문맥전환 횟수, 통신량 등을 감소시켰다. 그리고 노드 수의 변화에 대한 MULVEC의 성능평가(프로그램들의 수행시간, 프로세서들의 이용율)와 *T의 성능평가(프로그램의 수행시간)를 SPARC station 20 (super scalar RISC microprocessor)에서 시뮬레이션을 하였으며, 노드의 수, 루프의 반복홋수 등에 따라 프로그램의 수행시간이 MULVEC이 *T보 다 약 1-2배 정도 빠르다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
