The growth of three-dimensional ZnO hybrid structures by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition was controlled through their growth pressure. Vertically aligned ZnO nanorods were grown on c-plane sapphire substrate at $600^{\circ}C$ and 400 Torr. ZnO film was then formed in-situ on the ZnO nanorods at $600^{\circ}C$ and 10 Torr. High-resolution X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy measurements showed that the ZnO film on the nanorods/sapphire grew epitaxially, and that the ZnO film/nanorods hybrid structures had well-ordered wurtzite structures. The hybrid ZnO structure was shown to be about 5 ${\mu}m$ by field-emission scanning electron microscopy. The hybrid structure showed better crystalline quality than mono-layer film on sapphire substrate. Consequently, purpose of this work is developing high quality hybrid epi-growth technology using nano structure. These structures have potential applicability as nanobuilding blocks in nanodevices.
We report a novel patterning method for a homo-polymeric poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) nanofilm particularly capable of strong adhesion to a $SiO_2$ surface. An oxidized silicon wafer substrate was micro-contact printed with n-octadecyltrichlorosilane (OTS) monolayer, and subsequently its negative pattern was selfassembled with three different amino-functionalized alkylsilanes, (3-aminopropyl)trimethoxysilane (APS), N- (2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyltrimethoxy silane (EDAS), and (3-trimethoxysilylpropyl) diethylenetriamine (DETAS). Then, P3HT nanofilms were selectively grown on the aminosilane pre-patterned areas via the vapor phase polymerization method. To evaluate the adhesion, patterning, and the film itself, the PEDOT nanofilms and SAMs were investigated with a $Scotch^{(R)}$ tape test, contact angle analyzer, ATR-FT-IR, and optical and atomic force microscopes. The evaluation showed that the newly developed all bottom-up process can offer a simple and inexpensive patterning method for P3HT nanofilms robustly adhered to an oxidized Si wafer surface by the mediation of $FeCl_3$ and amino-functionalized alkylsilane SAMs.

Objectives: Effectiveness and conditions of vapor-phase hydrogen peroxide (VPHP) system on decontamination of Geobacillus stearothermophilus(GS) spores, Escherichia coli (E.coli) and Enterobacteria phage felix01 (felix01) were determined. Methods: The VPHP system was designed to vaporize 35% (w/w) solution of hydrogen peroxide, continuously to inject and withdraw VPHP. The system and VHP 1000ED (Steris) were operated such that dehumidification and conditioning were initiated without samples in the chamber. Then the samples were loaded into and removed. Coupons (glass, anodizing, silicon, viton) with GS spores ($1{\times}10^6$ colony forming unit/mL [CFU/mL]), E.coli ($1{\times}10^7$ CFU/mL) and felix01 ($1{\times}10^7$ plaque forming unit/mL[PFU/mL]), and Biological Indicator (BI) with GS spores ($1{\times}10^6$ CFU/mL) on stainless steel coupons were used. The tested samples were sonicated and vortexed, and then were plated for enumeration, followed by incubation at $55^{\circ}C$, 24 hr for GS spores, and at $37^{\circ}C$, 24 hr for E.coli and felix01. BI analysis in broth culture was only qualitative. Results: The efficacy of the VPHP system on decontamination was almost equivalent to that of VHP 1000ED. The conditions for complete decontamination with the VPHP system was as follows: concentration; 700~450 ppm, relative humidity; approximately 55%, and temperature; $34{\sim}32^{\circ}C$. When comparing the decontamination efficiency among different kinds of coupons, glass was the most effective, however, all kinds of coupons were decontaminated completely after 60 min exposure in both systems. Conclusion: The VPHP system can be recommended as an alternative system for traditional system using ethylene oxide, formaldehyde or chlorine dioxide.

Vapor-phase hydrogen peroxide(VPHP) has been used as a sterilant in the field of medical and pharmaceutical application due to low corrosive than chlorine contained sterilant. In addition, it is well known that VPHP is effective for decontamination of chemical warfare agents by adding ammonia gas. In this study, the decontamination efficiency was confirmed about CEPS, DFP and dimethoate as simulants of HD, GD and VX using VPHP respectively. For this purpose, VPHP generated from self configured device was injected into decontamination chamber and maintained for reaction time. After the decontamination, the residues are analyzed by GC/MS and decontamination efficiency was calculated. Through by-product for each simulants, the similarities in reaction mechanism of chemical warfare agents were confirmed. CEPS was completely decontaminated at 30% relative humidity within 60 min. By adding ammonia gas, DFP and dimethoate were completely decontaminated within 30 and 150 min respectively.

Water vapor absorption performance of four components solution ($LiBr+LiNO_3+LiC1+H_2O$) which could be substituted for commonly used $LiBr/H_2O$ solution in water cooled abosorption chiller is tested using a vertical tube absorber. Inlet solution concentration, inlet solution temperature, solution flow rate and inlet temperature of cooling water is varied as experimental parameters. The results of the experiment of water vapor absorption performance show that four components solution should have $2\%$ higher concentration for equal absorption capacity of $LiBr/H_2O$. But considering that four components solution have higher solubility than LiBr solution about $3\%$ high oncentration, four components solution ($LiBr+LiNO_3+LiC1+H_2O$) have more absorption capacity than LiBr solution in actual absorption chiller and can be applied to a small or air cooled absorption chiller.
The purpose of this study is to obtain the accurate prediction for the atomization and vaporization processes of GDI spray. Atomization process is modeled using hybrid model that is composed of Linearized Instability Sheet Atomization (LISA) model and Aerodynamically Progressed TAB (APTAB) model. Vaporization process is modeled using Spalding model and Abramzon & Sirignano model. To obtain the experimental results for comparing with calculated results, the cross-sectional images of liquid and vapor phases and SMD distribution were acquired by exciplex fluorescence method and Phase Doppler Analyzer respectively. The experiment and computation was performed at the ambient pressure of 0.1 MPa, 0.5 MPa, 1.0 MPa and the ambient temperature of 293K, 473K. The calculated results by modified KIVA-II code show good agreement with experimental results.
DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) films have predominant tribological properties like a high hardness, low friction and high chemical resistance; therefore, DLC films are applied in a wide range of industrial fields. This paper evaluated the characteristics of DLC films deposited on bearing steel with different hardness by RF-PECVD (Radio Frequency - Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) method. Si-interlayer was deposited on bearing steel to improve adhesion strength by RF-Sputtering method. The DLC film structures were analyzed with Raman spectra and Gaussian function. Adhesion strength of DLC films was measured with a scratch tester. Friction and wear test were carried out with a ball-on -disc type to investigate the tribological characteristics. Experimental results showed that DLC films deposited on bearing steel under same deposition condition have typical structure DLC films regardless of hardness of bearing steel. Adhesion strength of DLC film is increased with a hardness of bearing steel. Friction coefficient of DLC film showed lower at the high hardness of bearing steel.

The performance and applicability to food concentration of heat pump were investigated. During heating the water of spa from $43^{\circ}C$ to $51^{\circ}C$, COP's of heat pump (R-12, 150 HP) were 4.03 at heating part and 3.5 at cooling part. And, the efficiency of compressor (${\alpha}$) was 0.477 While the city water was heated to $39^{\circ}C$ by heat pump (R-22, 10 HP), its COP's were 3.0 at heating part and 1.87 at cooling part. During concentrations sucrose solution by centrifugal evaporator (ALFA-LAVAL CO, CTIB) with heat pump, heat capacity for condensating water vapor was required greater 15% than the latent heat for concentrating and then the overall heat transfer coefficient was $1196\;Kcal/m^{2}.\;h.\;^{\circ}C$. When low temperature concentration ($30-35^{\circ}C$, 28-40 Torr) of garlic extract was carried out by the water of $60^{\circ}C$ and $15^{\circ}C$ adjusted by heat pump, the ratio of heat capacity for concentrating vs. that for condensating of water vapor was 0.961.
Though admitting that, in light of the recent archaeological trend, the excavation on relics of Sam-gama (a sort of kiln steaming the hemp) is increasingly reported, little efforts by far have been made not only to restore its traditional structure design but also to research hardly the change of hemp-steaming technologies in ages. In this regard, this paper shows the exploration of structural method and design as well as operability with regard to Sam-gut, traditional hemp-processing equipment that was recently reconstructed in Jungsun, Kangwon Province. Samgut, generally positioned at the waterside area, is an traditional device for steaming hemp to get bast fibers from the raw material of hemp, principally consisting of HWA-JIP(fire-place) to obtain steams by feeding fire ad Mong-got(boiling chamber) to make the hemp steamed after stacking. More specifically, thick round-logs were piled at the bottom of Hwajip prior to stacking stones around its circumferential area. When the timber positioned below gets burned with high temperature to heat stones existing in the upper side, waters then poured onto it after laying a bundle of grass and soil up to the boiled stones. If so, there generates hot vapor, which is conveyed to Monggot to steam the hemp. Functionally, it is of outstanding importance that Samgut is capable of producing high-temperature water vapors instantaneously under the intensive manpower, thus being constructed achievable for those purposes. The Samgut made by digging the ground is an instant facility that is closed after use. The remains, which were used to generate higher thermal power for steaming hemp, make it hard to excavate the historic traits because there left little vestiges in the soil, which means keen attention must be paid to find out the trace of Smgama relics. Future research stall be focused on collection of broader data regarding Samgut including technological review in extracting bas fibers from the hemp.

An experimental study was carried out to measure the heat transfer coefficient in flow boiling to deionized water in a microchannel having a hydraulic diameter of $500{\mu}m$. Tests were performed in the ranges of heat fluxes from 100 to 400 kW/$m^2$, vapor qualities from 0 to 0.2 and mass fluxes of 200, 400 and 600 kg/$m^2s$. From the experimental results, it is found that the measured heat transfer coefficients is independent of mass flux and quality, and is somewhat dependent of heat flux. Measured data of heat transfer are compared to a few available correlations proposed for macroscale. The previous correlations for macroscale overpredicted the flow boiling heat transfer coefficient for the test conditions considered in this work.
