차량용 CNG 레귤레이터의 성능특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance Characteristics for a CNG Regulators of Automotive Vehicle)

  • 천연가스 자동차에 탑재되어 있는 연료압력 레귤레이터는 연료분사시스템의 압력을 일정하게 유지하는 역할을 한다. 연료압력의 정확한 제어는 천연가스 자동차가 가지고 있는 높은 효율성과 청정성을 십분 활용하기 위해서 반드시 필요한 사항이다. 본 연구에서는 천연가스 레귤레이터의 성능을 정확하게 평가할 수 있는 고압실험장치를 구축하였으며, 이 장치를 이용하여 두 가지 방식의 천연가스 레귤레이터를 평가하고 상호 비교를 하였다. 레귤레이터 밸브시스템의 설계에 따라 여러 가지 레귤레이터 성능 특성 중 동적응답과 Creep특성이 영향을 많이 받는 것으로 나타났으며, 레귤레이터 입구 압력이 높을 경우 출구 가스의 온도가 급격히 감소하는 것으로 나타남으로써 아이싱문제를 효과적으로 방지할 수 있는 방안이 마련되어야 함을 확인할 수 있었다.

운전조건 변화에 따른 이산화탄소 열펌프의 냉난방 성능특성 비교 (Cooling and Heating Performances of a CO2 Heat Pump with the Variations of Operating Conditions)

  • Since operating conditions are significantly different for heating and cooling mode operations in a $CO_2$ heat pump system, it is difficult to optimize the performance of the $CO_2$ cycle. In addition, the performance of a $CO_2$ heat pump is very sensitive to outdoor temperature and gascooler pressure. In this study, the cooling and heating performances of a variable speed $CO_2$ heat pump with a twin-rotary compressor were measured and analyzed with the variations of EEV opening and compressor frequency. As a result, the cooling and heating COPs were 2.3 and 3.0, respectively, when the EEV opening was 22%. When the optimal EEV openings for heating and cooling were 28% and 16%, the cooling and heating COPs increased by 3.3% and 3.9%, respectively, over the COPs at the EEV opening of 22%. Beside, the heating performance was more sensitive to EEV opening than the cooling performance. As the compressor speed decreased by 5 Hz, the cooling COP increased by 2%, while the heating COP decreased by 8%.

  • This paper was focused on the particulate matter (PM) on the gasoline and bio ethanol. Bio ethanol as a clean fuel is considered one of the alternative fuels that decreased the PM emission from the vehicle. Particle formation in SI engine was depended on the fuel and engine operating condition. In this paper, Particle number concentration behaviors were analyzed by DMS500 (Differential Mobility Spectrometer) and CPC (Condensation Particle Counter) instrument which was recommended by PMP (Particle Measurement Programme). Particle emissions were measured with various engine operating variables such as air excess ratio ($\lambda$), spark timing and intake valve opening (IVO) at part load condition. In vehicle test, the number of particulate matter was analyzed with golden particle measurement system, which was consist of CVS (Constant Volume Sampler), particle number counter and particle number diluter.

  • 액체로켓엔진 고장에서 시동과정이 30% 이상을 차지하며 특히, 우주왕복선 주 엔진(Space Shuttel Main Engine, SSME)은 2%의 밸브위치 오차 또는 0.1초의 시간오차와 같은 작은 변화에도 급격하게 변화하는 매우 민감한 시스템으로 시동과정의 모델링이 중요하다. 하지만, 시동과정에서 비선형 질량 유량과 열전달 특성 때문에 많은 어려움이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이를 해결하기 위하여 부분적인 전산유체해석(Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD) 방법을 사용하였으며 본 논문에서는 구성품의 모델링을 수행하여 정상상태에서 확인을 하였다.

State Estimation Technique for VRLA Batteries for Automotive Applications

  • The state-of-charge (SOC) and state-of-health (SOH) estimation of batteries play important roles in managing batteries for automotive applications. However, an accurate state estimation of a battery is difficult to achieve because of certain factors, such as measurement noise, highly nonlinear characteristics, strong hysteresis phenomenon, and diffusion effect of batteries. In certain vehicular applications, such as idle stop-start systems (ISSs), significant errors in SOC/SOH estimation may lead to a failure in restarting a combustion engine after the shut-off period of the engine when the vehicle is at rest, such as at a traffic light. In this paper, a dual extended Kalman filter algorithm with a dynamic equivalent circuit model of a lead-acid battery is proposed to deal with this problem. The proposed algorithm adopts a battery model by taking into account the hysteresis phenomenon, diffusion effect, and parameter variations for accurate state estimations of the battery. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified through experiments by using an absorbed glass mat valve-regulated lead-acid battery and a battery sensor cable for commercial ISS vehicles.

  • Combustion and emission characteristics in a direct injection diesel engine is closely related to the intake port system. It is therefore important to understand the swirl flow characteristics formed by a helical intake port. However there are still many uncertainties. The purpose of this experimental study is to investigate the effects of the valve eccentricity ratio and the inlet flow conditions of a helical intake port on the characteristics of an in-cylinder swirl flow. A steady state flow test rig consisted of ISM(impulse swirl meter), LFM(laminar flow meter) and cylinder head with a helical intake port was used. The swirl ratio(Rs) and mean flow coefficient(Cf(mean)) with inlet flow conditions were measured. The results of these experiment can be summarized as follows. Swirl flow characteristics of a helical intake port are affected by the inlet flow conditions, and especially they are much affected by the length of a manifold runner and the rotational angle of a curved manifold runner.

Fontan 술식의 치험 23례에 관한 고찰 (Twenty three experiences of Fontan operation)

  • The Fontan principle of redirecting systemic venous blood into the pulmonary arteries via a conduit was initially proposed for Tricuspid Atresia, but it and its modifications have now gained a much wider application than initially intended. From September 1978 to July 1983, Atriopulmonary anastomosis has been performed in 23 patients, 2 months to 19 years of age, Seoul National University Hospital. The diagnoses were Tricuspid Atresia [TA] in 13, Univentricular Heart [UVH] in 9 and one case of Double Outlet of Right Ventricle [DORV]. Previous procedures included two Glenn shunts and one Blalock-Taussl8 shunt. Among these 23 patients, 10 patients had Right Atrial to Pulmonary Artery conduit, with a valve in 7 and without in 3. The remaining 13 patients had direct anastomosis between RA to PA. There were 14 early deaths, 7 of 13 TA patients, 6 of 9 UVH patients and one DORV, and the total hospital mortality was 60%. But there were no later deaths, 9 of these 23 patients survived operation and are presently alive. The Fontan procedure can be done with an acceptable low mortality with good functional results for Tricuspid Atresia and other complex lesion in foreign hospital, but till now our results revealed much higher risks. For our good operative results and effective patients selection, we must clarify the exact condition of pulmonary arterial system and accumulate much more experiences and technique.

가스시설에서의 정성적 인적오류 평가 (Qualitative Human Error Assessment for Gas Facilities)

  • 본 연구에서는 가스시설의 설비 운영 및 보수시에 존재할 수 있는 다양한 인적오류를 확인하고 평가하는 정성적인 기법을 제안하였다. 이것은 정성적 평가 기법들이 갖는 기본적 성격들, 즉 도표화된 형태로 구성된 분석 체계와 각 기법마다 이탈적 현상을 표기하는 가이드워드 체계를 인적오류분석에 적합한 방법으로 고안한 것이다. 그리고 제안한 방법을 실제 밸브기지의 중요 시스템인 정압기 시설의 보수 절차서에 대하여 적용하였다. 그 결과로서 보수작업시에 발생할 수 있는 인적오류를 도출하고 제안한 인적오류평가 방법의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • 최근 고층건물의 방진시스템 및 자동차의 현가장치 분야에 MR 유체를 이용한 반능동 진동제어에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되면서 MR 유체의 밸브모드 특성을 이용한 선형 MR 댐퍼가 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 전단모드를 이용한 회전형 MR 댐퍼에 관한 연구는 초기단계에 머물고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 주행로봇의 무한회전형 액츄에이터용 회전형 댐퍼의 진동제어에 관한 연구를 수행하였으며, 퍼지 로직을 기반으로 한 회전형 MR 댐퍼용 진동제어 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 퍼지제어기의 입출력 이득과 멤버쉽 함수의 모양은 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 조정하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 MR 댐퍼에 충격력이 가해질 때 퍼지 스카이-훅 제어의 제어성능을 보여준다.

고속 무한궤도 차량용 변속기 시뮬레이터 개발 (Development of Transmission Simulator for High-Speed Tracked Vehicles)

  • Electronic control technologies that have long been developed for passenger cars spread to construction equipment and agricultural vehicles because of its outstanding performance achieved by embedded software. Especially, system program of transmission control unit (TCU) plays a crucial role for the superb shift quality, driving performance and fuel efficiency, etc. Since the control algorithm is embedded in software that is rarely analyzed, development of such a TCU cannot be conducted by conventional reverse engineering. Transmission simulator is a kind of electronic device that simulates the electric signals including driver operation command and output of various sensors installed in transmission. Standalone TCU can be run in normal operation mode with the signals provided by transmission simulator. In this research, transmission simulator for the tracked vehicle TCU is developed for the analysis of shift control algorithm from the experiments with standalone TCU. It was confirmed that shift experimental data for the simulator setup conditions can be used for the analysis of control algorithms on proportional solenoid valves and shift map.
