문화산업분야 다자통상규범 : DDA의 쟁점 및 전망 (Multilateral Trade Rules on Cultural Industry : Issues and Outlook of the DDA)

  • Since the launch of the GATT system, one of the most controversial topics in trade liberalization has been the conflict between culture and trade. The sticking point has been the necessity of cultural exceptions in trade rules. Some countries do not wish to allow further exceptions to basic principles even in cultural industry, while many other countries make their efforts to obtain "cultural safety valve." The latter group asserts that it is indispensable for the protection of cultural identity, whereas the former seems to doubt the truth of the assertion. That is because cultural policy measure possibly constitute a means of arbitrary or unjustifiable discrimination between countries, or a disguised barriers to trade in cultural products. Unfortunately, cultural exceptions still remain unresolved in the WTO, the successor to the GATT. This paper is to review the history and rules of multilateral trading system on cultural industry, address the critical issues to deal with in the DDA negotiations, and lastly provide some perspectives on the appropriate shape of the cultural safety valve.

  • The packing, among the components comprising the gate valve, is used to sustain the air-tightness and the study on change of shape or pattern has been carried out to maximize the functions, but the study on changing the location or the size of the packing in a bid to prevent the freezing has rarely been implemented. Thus, This study is intended to evaluate the thermal strain of packing by heat transfer from territory of extremely low temperature as well as the temperature distribution to the upper part of the packing using numerical analysis method.

원통형 스프링의 동특성 해석을 위한 헬리컬 로드 유한요소 개발 (Development of Helical Rod Finite Element for the Dynamic Analysis of Cylindrical Springs)

  • A 3-dimensional helical rod finite element is devloped for the dynamic analysis of cylindrical springs. Element matrices are formulated using the Galerkin's method, and an exact static deflection curve is used as a shape function. Because the resultant mass and stiffness matrices of the model are symmetric, effective direct solution method can easily be applied for analysing dynamic behavior of springs. The model is used to analyze the dynamic characteristics of a typical automotive valve spring. The effectiveness of the developed helical rod element is verified by comparing the results of the proposed method with those of a classical theory and experiments. The helical element developed in this study is superior to a straight beam element and a 2-dimensional curved beam element for this problem.

  • A pressure tracking control of hydroforming processes, which is used in the precision forming of. sheet metals, is considered in this paper. The hydroforming of sheet metal is performed between the high-pressure chamber controlled by pressure control valve and the punch moving with constant speed. Since the pressure in the forming chamber is a critical factor to the quality of the product severely. It is important to control the pressure to follow a prescribed pressure trajectory, depending upon the material volume and shape of the parts to be formed. Taking into consideration of the volume chamge of forming chamber during the process and the nonlinearity of the electro-magnetic relief valve, a mathematical formulation of the model describing the dynamic characteristics of this model obtained. Based upon this model a PID controller is designed for the pressure tracking.

주기적 연료공급에 따른 화염거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on flame characteristics with periodical fuel supply)

  • Flame characteristics of periodic fuel jets were studied experimentally by supplying the fuel periodically using solenoid valve. Flame was observed using a high speed camera, a 35 mm camera and a cathetometer. Hot-wire ananometer was used to meature the speed of fuel flow at the nozzle exit to analyze the flow characteristics. Various types of flame characteristics such as the flame lift-off and extinction were observed for different ranges of period, duty, and flow rate, but the flame shape was not affected much by the variation in the flow rate. Decreasing duty of the pulses applied to the solenoid valve promotes lift-off and enhances premixed flame characteristics.

스월비 변화가 직접분사식 디젤기관의 연소특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Swirl Ratio on Combustion Characteristics in DI Diesel Engine)

  • Besides the fuel spray behavior and combustion chamber shape. an air motion has a key role on exhaust gas emission and performance in a DI diesel engine. A swirl ratio represents the ratio of the intake swirl velocity to the engine speed. The main purpose in this work is to investigate the effects of the swirl ratio to the combustion characteristics. A shroud valve machined to change the swirl ratio. Test was carry out by changing the engine speed, nozzle diameter and swirl ratio in a single cylinder diesel engine. From this study, the optimized combustion was found at swirl ratio 2.7. And it was also found that the increasing the maximum cylinder pressure with an increasing swirl ratio lead to decrease a smoke and to increase NOx.

Hermite 곡선을 이용한 자동차 엔진 캠 형상의 최적 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Design of Automotive Cam Profiles using Hermite Curve)

  • A numerical method is proposed to optimize automotive cam profiles. An acceleration curve of a cam follower motion is described by Hermite spline curves. Because of the intrinsic characteristics of the Hermite curve, it is possible to design an acceleration curve with arbitrary shape. Design variables in the optimization problem are location of control points which define the acceleration curve. Objective function includes dynamic performances as well as kinematic properties of a valve train. Similar optimization procedure was also performed using Polydyne cam profile synthesis method. Optimized profiles using the Hermite curve are proved to be superior to those using the Polydyne method.

  • 추력 및 혼합비 조절을 목적으로 제작된 유량조절밸브를 AMESim(4.3.0) 시뮬레이터를 통해 모델링 을 수행했다. BLDC 모터(Brushless D.C. motor)를 이용하는 유량밸브의 조절을 위하여 속도조절기법을 제안했으며, 실험을 통해 그 성능을 보였다. BLDC 모터의 속도제어 기법을 이용하는 조절밸브는 P제어 보다 시스템 활용 시 용이하고, 유량조절 실험결과를 통해 시스템에 적용 가능성을 시사했다. 플런 저 형상에 따라 유량 조절 특성을 평가했고, 두 개의 조절밸브를 이용하는 혼합비 조절의 경우 동일한 플런저 형상을 적용하는 것이 적절했다. 혼합비 조절 시 섭동 폭을 줄이기 위해 밸브 플런저의 형상을 수정한 결과 0.5%로 감소했다.

  • Considering the shape of a valve plate in design is important for reducing the pulsation phenomenon, which is a negative factor in pump performance. The purpose of this study is to propose an optimized method for a valve-plate V-type notch of a piston pump by modeling and simulation. The method uses $SimulationX^{(R)}$, a commercial hydraulic analysis program, and to provide data for the designing of the notch. The opening areas are determined by performing kinematic analysis of the notch part where the opening area changes rapidly. After applying the result analysis, the main effects on maximum pressure pulsation and maximum backflow according to the notch design factors are analyzed by using the full factorial method of experimental design. The optimized solutions are derived for the notch design variables, based on the analyzed data.

사판식 유압 피스톤 펌프의 응력해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Stress Analysis of Oil Hydraulic Piston Pump with a Swash Plate Type)

  • 유압 피스톤 펌프에서, 고속 상대운동을 하는 실린더 블록과 밸브 플레이트는 누설 및 마찰 손실의 최적화를 위해 극단적으로 제어되어야 하는 특성을 가지고 있으며, 내압 특성 설계는 고압 성능에 매우 중요하지만 이에 대한 응력 해석에 관한 연구가 활발하게 수행되지는 않았다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 CATIA V5를 사용한 정적 응력 해석을 통하여 사판식 유압 피스톤 펌프의 실린더 블록과 밸브 플레이트의 응력과 변위를 해석하고자 하였으며, 실린더 블록의 최대응력은 실린더 뒷부분 동 재질의 접합 소재에 발생하며, 축방향에 비해 반경방향 작용압력이 응력과 변위에 더 큰 영향을 주고, 응력은 약 66%, 변위는 약 30% 더 크게 나타났다. 밸브 플레이트의 경우 재질 및 형상에 대한 검토가 요구됨을 알 수 있었다.
