산업용 표준의 압력시험 방법에 의한 고압 배관용 리테이너형 볼밸브의 구조해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Structural Analysis of High-Pressure Pipeline Retainer-Type Ball Valve by Pressure Testing of the Industrial Standard)

  • This study has been performed to evaluate the safety of the retainer-type ball valve for a high-pressure pipeline to a district heating plant. The retainer-type ball valve is an improved design for conventional ball valves, such as the floating ball valve and the trunnion ball valve. Numerical analysis of the valve design verification has been applied to investigate the safety factor and seat leakage of the DN300 and DN400 sizes. The given condition to solve the structural analysis was based on the international standard for ISO 5208. In this study, the methods for structural analysis are described in detail. The structural analysis results present the deformations, the equivalent stresses, and the safety factors. Through these results, this study successfully demonstrates the safety and seat leakage of the retainer-type ball valve. They also streamline the process of development for valve manufacturing.

수소 저장 탱크용 고압 밸브의 개도율에 따른 열·유동 특성 분석 (Analysis of Thermal Flow Characteristics according to the Opening Ratio of High-Pressure Valve for Hydrogen Storage Tank)

  • In this study, in order to numerically analyze the heat flow characteristics in the valve according to the opening rate for the solenoid valve for hydrogen supply applied to the hydrogen storage tank, flow characteristics were comparatively analyzed. Through the analysis of pressure and temperature distributions within the valve according to the high-pressure supply condition of 70 MPa or more, the heat flow characteristics in the valve, inlet and outlet passage according to the opening rate of the valve were identified. As a result a sudden change in the fluid behavior appears in the neck region of the valve, and it is understood that the flow separation caused by the flow path shape of the expanded tube has a dominant influence on the flow characteristics. And, it was confirmed that the shape of the valve seat is a factor significantly affecting the improvement of flow rate and differential pressure performance.

연성해석을 이용한 CNG 차량 압력 용기용 밸브의 안전성 평가 (Safety Evaluation of a Cylinder Valve for Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle Pressure Vessels using Fluid-structure Interaction Analysis)

  • Growing concerns about environmental pollution have led to an increase in the demand for compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles in recent years. CNG vehicles are equipped with a cylinder valve installed in a high-pressure vessel to control the CNG flow. The cylinder valve must meet high quality safety standards because the pressure vessel stores high-pressure CNG. Therefore, safety evaluation of the cylinder valve is necessary to ensure the safety of CNG vehicles. In this study, fluid-structure interaction analysis for the structural integrity of the cylinder valve were conducted using a commercial finite element analysis code(ANSYS WORKBENCH V14). The CFD analysis was performed using a steady-state technique according to the inlet and outlet pressures in order to predict the pressure distribution. Structural analysis was performed by a static structure technique at the maximum working pressure to evaluate the structural integrity of the cylinder valve. From the results, the safety factor of the valve component is between 1.57 and 21.5.

  • 자동차 미끄럼방지 장치의 최적 제어를 위해서는 유압 모듈레이터 특히, 솔레노이드 밸브에 대한 정확한 동특성 해석이 필요하다. 그러나, 현재까지 진행된 대부분의 연구들은 솔레노이드 밸브 자체만을 고려하였기 때문에 실제 자동차 미끄럼방지 장치에 제한적으로 적용되었다. 본 연구에서는 유압 모듈레이터에 작용하는 압력을 고려한 솔레노이드 밸브의 동특성 해석을 위하여 실험과 이론 해석을 실시하였다. 작동 압력이 솔레노이드 밸브의 동특성에 끼치는 영향을 정량적으로 해석하였고 설계인자를 변화시키면서 성능향상 방안을 제안하였다. 따라서, 본 연구에서 수행한 솔레노이드 밸브 동특성 해석결과는 자동차 미끄럼방지 장치의 최적 제어 기준으로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

  • In this study, a hydraulic modulator of solenoid-flow type ABS, the master sylinder, and the wheel cylinder are modeled and simulated for increasing pressure characteristics of the brake. Response can be predicted by external force of the the master sylinder and pulses to the solenoid valve as input. For a demonstration of simulation result, experiment is done under the same condition as simulation condition after experimental apparatus of 1/4 car model is constructed. When factors of flow control valve are changed, the effect of each factor to response, how to improve response, and the most critical factors are considered from simulated result of time constant.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze that intake port swirl and fuel injection system have an effect on the engine performance in a turbocharged D.I. diesel engine of the displacement 9.4L. As result of steady flow test, when the valve eccentricity ratio moved to cylinder wall, the flow coefficient and swirl intensity is increased. And as the swirl is increased, the mean flow coefficient is decreased, whereas the Gulf factor is increased. Through this engine test, it can be expected to meet performance and emissions by the following applied parameters; the swirl ratio is 2.43, injection timing is BTDC 13oCA and compression is 15.5.

밸브 구동용 개폐식 솔레노이드 액추에이터의 설계 (A Design of On/Off Type Solenoid Actuator for Valve Operation)

  • For a design of on/off solenoid actuator for valve actuating, designer must have the experimental knowledge as well as general electromagnetic formulas to design object. It is possible for theoretical knowledge to do the out-line design, but it is impossible to optimal design without experimental knowledge which only can be achieved through many repeated experiments. In addition, in present on/off type solenoid actuator field, the smaller, lightening, lower consumption power, high response time are effected as the most important design factor. So, experimental knowledge is more needed for optimal design of solenoid actuator. In this study, we derived the governing equations for optimal design of on/off solenoid actuator for valve actuating and developed a design program composed electromagnetic theories and experimental parameter values for inexperienced designers. And we proved the propriety of this program by experiments.

  • The purpose of this study is to bring out the optimal design factors which effect on dynamic characteristics in the design of proportional flow control valve with fast response characteristics, and to verify the validity of the design factors In this study, force feedback type flow control valve with nozzle-flapper is studied. And, the influences which fixed orifice, nozzle diameter, and maximum displacement between nozzle and flapper effect on dynamic characteristics are analyzed. We have done simulations using the optimal design factors and simulink(Matlab) as a simulation tool, and verified the validity of our simulations by means of comparison our simulation results with an experimental results of another similar valve.

Modification of acceleration signal to improve classification performance of valve defects in a linear compressor

  • In general, it may be advantageous to measure the pressure pulsation near a valve to detect a valve defect in a linear compressor. However, the acceleration signals are more advantageous for rapid classification in a mass-production line. This paper deals with the performance improvement of fault classification using only the compressor-shell acceleration signal based on the relation between the refrigerant pressure pulsation and the shell acceleration of the compressor. A transfer function was estimated experimentally to take into account the signal noise ratio between the pressure pulsation of the refrigerant in the suction pipe and the shell acceleration. The shell acceleration signal of the compressor was modified using this transfer function to improve the defect classification performance. The defect classification of the modified signal was evaluated in the acceleration signal in the frequency domain using Fisher's discriminant ratio (FDR). The defect classification method was validated by experimental data. By using the method presented, the classification of valve defects can be performed rapidly and efficiently during mass production.

전공식 콘트롤 밸브 Positioner 용 Magnet Unit의 해석 (An Analysis of Magnet Unit of Electro-Pneumtic Control Valve Positioner)

  • 유량을 정밀조정하는 콘트롤 밸브의 핵심 부품인 magnet unit를 해석하였다. 유한요소법을 이용하여 자석과 요크가 이루는 자기회로를 분석하여 공극에 흐르는 자속과 코일이 받는 힘을 계산하고 이를 측정치와 비교하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 공극자장은 3 ~ 5 kOe, 추력상수는 27.5 N/A, 퍼미언스 게수는 22.1 이었으며 측정치와 잘 일치하였다. 또한 시뮬레이션을 통하여 reluctance factor는 1.1 fringing factor는 1.4 임을 알 수 있었다.
