The current study aimed to segment Mongolian female consumers based on luxury consumption values and to compare lifestyle, demographic characteristics, purchase behavior, and perceived brand personality among the segments. The survey was administered to consumers who had purchased luxury products in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. A total of 184 surveys were used for data analysis. Exploratory factor analysis revealed five luxury values: quality value, hedonic value, conspicuous value, social value, and unique value. Using the five luxury values, clustering analysis was conducted, showing that there were four distinct segments: passive shoppers, showoffs, rational value groups, and hedonists. ANOVAs and chi-square analyses revealed that these four segments differed in consumption values, demographic characteristics, lifestyle dimensions (including appearance consciousness, leisure orientation, life enjoyment, and achievement orientation), and purchase behavior (including purchase frequency, price of products purchased, and product selection criteria). Moreover, value segments showed differences in five dimensions of luxury brand personality: sincerity, professionalism/attractiveness, excitement, materialism, and sophistication. The results suggest that consumption values serve as a significant basis for segmentation. Furthermore, the current study indicates that value segments can be described as consumers' perceived brand personality. The study concludes with a discussion of the results, theoretical and practical implications, and limitations.
Purpose: This study aims to present individual motivation and channel characteristics affecting omnichannel service use, as well as the effect relationship of the brand factor on consumption value, service satisfaction, and continuous usability based on convenience store pickup service, one of online shopping customers' omnichannel use services. Primarily, this study divided consumption value into emotional value and functional value and examined the consumption value characteristics of omnichannel-based pickup service customers. Research design, data and methodology: A questionnaire survey was carried out targeting 324 consumers having the omnichannel-based pickup service user experience in online shopping in Korea. A confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis were carried out based on the structural equation to verify hypotheses. Results: According to the analysis result, individual motivation affected the emotional value, and the omnichannel characteristics affected functional value. The brand effect influenced both emotional and functional values. The emotional value affected continuous use intention, and the functional value affected service satisfaction. Conclusions: Therefore, consumers' emotional and functional values showed differences in consumption behavior. In online shopping companies' marketing strategy construction for omnichannel, it was confirmed that a differentiated approach is needed depending on the strategic goal of satisfaction improvement and continuous use intention consolidation.
Simple correspondence analysis is a technique for giving a joint display of points representing both the rows and columns of an n$\times$p two-way contigency table. In simple correspondence analysis, the singular value decomposition is the main algebraic tool. But, Choi and Huh(1996) pointed out the singular value decomposition is not robust. Instead, they developed a robust singular value decomposition and provided applications in principal component analysis and biplots. In this article, by using the analogous procedures of Choi and Huh(1996), we derive a robust version of simple correspondence analysis.

In this study, multivariate analysis based on domestic data(958 EA) of road tunnel, and suggest the easy prediction equation of Q-system. We generate applicable Q-value to numerical analysis method with using the equation and investigate the behavior as variable Q-value of rock mass induced excavation with discontinuum numerical analysis method, UDEC. In the result of the experiment, we research the application range of Q-value to apply the continuum model to discontinuous rock mass is below 0.7 and we testify the applicability of continuum model as researched Q-value with continuum numerical analysis method, FLAC.
Purpose - Many variables are needed for brand loyalty such as brand attitude, brand attachment, brand love and brand commitment. Thus, we should manage these all variables successfully for strong and differentiated brand equity. This study aims to identify the process of how the brand value propositions affect the brand attitude and brand attachment. This study specially conceptualizes that not only utilitarian value and hedonic value influence the brand attitude but also hedonic value influences the brand attachment. This study focuses on the moderating role of consumer involvement such as cognitive involvement and affective involvement in the causal relationships among brand value propositions, brand attitude, and brand attachment. Research design, data, and methodology - The five hypotheses were proposed and tested in this study. Three hypotheses were about the relationship among the brand value propositions(utilitarian value and hedonic value), brand attitude, and brand attachment. The other two hypotheses were about the moderating effect on consumer involvement in the causal relationships among brand value propositions, brand attitude, and brand attachment. Research data were collected from the students of universities located in Daejeon-Si and Chungchungnam-Do. For the purpose of test the hypotheses empirically, the 208 responses were used. We utilized SPSS18.0 for statistical analysis such as reliability test, factor analysis, and regression analysis. Results - The results show that the utilitarian value and hedonic value have influence on the brand attitude positively. The results also show that the hedonic value has influence on the brand attachment positively. We found that there is a moderating effect on the cognitive involvement in the relationship between the utilitarian value and the brand attitude. However, there is no moderating effect on the affective involvement in the relationship between the hedonic value and brand attachment. In Summary, 4 of 5 hypotheses in this study were supported and 1 hypothesis was not supported. We should identify the reason why the hypothesis 5, the moderating effect of the affective involvement in the relationship between the hedonic value and brand attachment, was rejected in this empirical analysis. Conclusions - Both the utilitarian value and the hedonic value that propose a brand are important for brand attitude. Specially, the hedonic value is important for brand attachment. Companies should provide the consumers with both the utilitarian value and the hedonic value in a balanced way for their favorable brand attitude and strong brand attachment. In the retail industry, the balance between the utilitarian value and the hedonic value is important in that there are many product brands and store brands providing consumers with various benefit and values. Also, there are possibilities that the causal relationships among brand value propositions, brand attitude and brand attachment are moderated by consumer involvement such as cognitive involvement and affective involvement. Companies should understand and consider consumer involvement for their efficient and effective brand management decision making.

Korea's five leading industries-chemical, automobile, shipbuilding, metal and electronics-have been the growth engines of the Korean economy for the last 30 years. However, with their performance weakening in the past few years, Korea's annual growth rate has dropped to less than 2%. Just as the Japanese economy struggled through the lost decades, Korea's leading industries have been facing signals of arriving at a Strategic Inflection Point ("SIP") since the mid-2000s. The objective of this study is to present an appropriate value strategy for Korean firms in leading industries to gain sustainable competitive advantages. This paper examines the following issues : First, it diagnoses the signs and timing of SIP for the five leading industries. Second, this study examines 78 Korean and Japanese firms in order to understand the adaptation strategies of the highest and lowest performing firms from a value strategy point of view. Third, it empirically analyzes the correlation between the indicators of value strategy and the accounting performances of the Korean and Japanese firms. The data set used in the cluster analysis were collected from KISLINE database of NICE Information Service and annual reports. The findings in the case analyses of high and low performing companies show that high value-added specialty chemical materials and electronic component manufacturers that had a strong focus on value creation were defined as high performing companies. And in the cosmetic and automobile industries, companies with a strong emphasis on value appropriation gained high performance. Furthermore, the study conducted a cluster analysis based on two indicators R&D and advertisement expense. The analysis shows that a significant gap exists in the operating incomes among three groups classified under the value strategy. The study recommends that Korean firms are requested to increase R&D expenditure, conduct M&A and collaborate with companies that own source technologies to narrow the technology gap and improve their segment portfolio from commodity to value-added products.

In this study, a design value analysis technique that considered stochastic LCC and stochastic performance evaluation was proposed, and by introducing the concept of reliability analysis, a decision making that secured reliability was supported. The results of this study, which was carried out according to the above objectives and methods, are summarized as follows: 1) The design value analysis procedures and value state function, improved in order to carry out a reliable analysis when evaluating alternate proposals that were extracted after the function definition was complete, were formalized, and in order to secure consistency and efficiency for value evaluation procedures, an evaluation index scheme was proposed; 2) Database collection and analysis were done for a bridge's LCC analysis. As for the collection scope of data, literature of previous research done on a bridge's LCC analysis was used as the basis for analysis, and for securing reliability regarding analysis results and dealing with uncertainty of collected data, the MCS technique was applied; 3) Weights and evaluation ranks for performance evaluation of each of the alternate proposals, as well as LCC analysis model, analysis period, discount rate, user expense, safety inspection and safety diagnosis expense conditions for LCC analysis were proposed. Lastly, a feasibility study was done and conclusion was made about "OO grand bridge and connecting road construction work execution design" project centered on value analysis execution case.

This study aims to determine the effects of clothing consumption value, usefulness of clothing and ease of use on the new product acceptance intention of premium linen apparel. A survey was conducted among male and female consumers, and a total of 328 responses were analyzed. Frequency, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used for data analysis using SPSS WIN Ver.21.0. The results of this study are as follows. First, clothing consumption value was classified into five factors: social value, fashionable value, individual value, practical value and emotional value. Usefulness and ease of use were found two factors and the new product acceptance intention of premium linen apparel was found one factor. Second, all factors of clothing consumption value had a positive effect on usefulness. The higher the values of the five factors of clothing consumption value, the higher usefulness. Third, fashionable value affected ease of use, but individual value had no positive effect on ease of use. The higher the fashionable value, the higher the ease of use, but, the higher the individual value, the lower the ease of use. Fourth, all factors of clothing consumption value had a positive effect on the new product acceptance intention of premium linen apparel. Therefore, clothing consumption value is important to the new product acceptance intention of premium linen apparel. Moreover, usefulness and ease of use influenced the new product acceptance intention of premium linen apparel. This shows that consumers' new product acceptance intention of premium linen apparel increases if the product is they are perceived to be useful and easy to use.
Purpose - Value chain in agriculture refers to direct and indirect activities related to value-added process from raw materials to final products in agricultural industries. In recent years, value chain analysis has become more important in the area of agricultural development. This article reviews the concept and importance of value chain analysis in the context of agricultural development and attempts to suggest improvement strategies. Research design, data, methodology - A literature survey was conducted for value chain analysis for agricultural development. The case of agro-value chain in Cambodia was deeply analyzed based upon interviews with government officers and related experts. Results - It seems that agro-value chain in developing countries are not well developed and does not carry out appropriate functions, compared to developed countries. Because value adding facilities, such as storage, processing and packing plants, milling plants, and etc. are not sufficiently constructed, the quality of agricultural products is low. Especially developing countries may loose opportunities to increase value of their product by exporting their agricultural products as raw materials to neighboring countries. Value adding process is also mainly controlled by traders in local markets or wholesale markets in urban areas. Farmers therefore can get lower share of final value of agricultural products compared to the shares paid to traders. Lastly it is argued that governments of developing countries do not play an active role in developing value chains and do not carry out coordinating functions in an effective and efficient manner. Conclusions - The first step to improve agro-value chain in developing countries is to identify and analyze value chain structure of agricultural products and to make development strategies and implementation programs. For improving value chain of agricultural products in developing countries, it is required to provide not only plans for constructing hardwares, such as wholesale markets, storage facilities, processing and packing plants, and etc., but also plans for improving softwares, such as measures for improving product quality and safety, setting up grade and standard, providing market information, and nurturing producer cooperatives.

As the one-person households with economic power have increased, the consumption culture changed as well. The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the on-line shopping motivation of one-person households in terms of consumer value. Economic value, emotional value, convenience value, social value were identified as affecting factors of satisfaction and intention to re-use of on-line shopping purchasing based on prior studies of on-line shopping behavior. This study tested the hypothesized model targeting 244 one-person households who have purchased products in on-line shopping mall. According to the results of analysis by using R, economic value, emotional value are significantly related to the consumer satisfaction but convenience value, social value are not. Consumer satisfaction of online purchasing was also shown to be related to the intention to re-use. However no difference between men and female was shown in shopping motivations. The research result can provide useful guidelines and strategies for one-person households with online shopping malls.
