  • Virtual Reality technology is divided two parts Panorama technology to imbody VR on space and Object technology to embody VR of things. About Object VR technology until present, they provided a cube access way, then observer can see object up, down, left, right side and zoom-in, zoom-out, but there is a fact that up-and-down expression is distorted or shows shortcoming that is not expressed by limited situation of manufacture way in Panorama VR's expression. Therefore, in this research, we examine the shortcoming that do not become top-and-bottom expression through basic concept of Panorama and Panorama VR manufacture process and do to propose cube type of new data format that permit up-and-down expression as a real world and compose Panorama VR space.

  • Immersion is a features of VR technology, and the most important condition for evaluating VR experience. With the improvement of VR technology, including the presentation accuracy of VR content, the degree of interaction is diversified, the user's immersion in VR equipment should not only be improved technically, but researched from the user's perception level. The paper defines two important factors, immersion and presence, in a participant's experience with a VR device. Although the current technology can already simulate the real environment information visually and audibly, the content of the VR environment is not enough for us to achieve a completely real experience. Based on the Flow theory of Csikszentmihalyi and the sensory immersion achieved by current technology, this paper proposes the key factors of how to achieve conscious immersion for users in VR media. We prove that immersion is an indicator of the true degree of sensory simulation of VR equipment and is the basis for the realization of flow experience. What really makes the participant feel a perfect experience is the content provided by the VR environment and gave participants a sense of presence, it is not limited to video or games. On the premise of the Multi-Sensory, Immersion, Interactivity and Imagination experience achieved by using virtual reality technology, combined with the content creation of flow theory, the interactive immersion achieved by users is an important method to realize the awareness immersion of VR equipment.

  • Purpose - This study aimed to investigate the impact of immersive virtual reality (VR) technology on learning effectiveness in museum environments by integrating experience economy theory and flow theory. Design/methodology/approach - Survey data were collected from 200 participants who experienced VR in a museum setting. A PLS path analysis was conducted to examine the relationships between key variables. Findings - The study found that the three main VR features-interactivity, vividness, and novelty-had significant positive effects on the four experiential dimensions of the experience economy: educational, entertainment, escapist, and esthetic experiences, with the exception of novelty not impacting esthetic experience. Among these dimensions, only educational experiences significantly influenced perceived learning effectiveness, and this relationship was mediated by the flow state. Research implications or Originality - This research provides valuable insights into how immersive VR can enhance learning effectiveness in museums. It emphasizes the importance of focusing on educational experiences and suggests that achieving a flow state is crucial for improving learning outcomes in VR-based museum experiences.

  • In recent years, medical and health care fields have attracted attention for virtual reality (VR) applications. VR technology is emerging as a healthcare specialist and psychotherapy alternative to cope with the increase in the demand for the treatment of conditions such as psychological diseases caused by old age and stress. Using VR, virtual patients or organs can be trained, and the medical staff can plan and pre-test before surgeries. The use of VR technology for psychotherapy and rehabilitation of one-to-one, face-to-face treatment allows a single physician to respond to multiple health care needs.

  • The VR(Virtuality Reality) technology provides very close experience to reality by stimulating humans' external recognition with artificial technologies. In order to overcome the limitation of real-environment training, VR is being applied in industry field as a key technology to prevent safety accident and its control procedure training. However, it is difficult to build VR-based training system because 3D modeling and software coding are necessary for materialization of VR environment demands of many development resource. In this research referring to VR based training content implementation, a method to utilizing VRDC(VR-based Dynamic visualization Component) is suggested and by applying it to plant safety training system, it was confirmed its practicality.

  • This study examines the possibility of chronic brain disease rehabilitation treatment using VR/AR technology and raises the research need for the development of digital therapeutics. In addition, by proposing a digital therapeutic research and development process this study intends to contribute to the development of VR/AR rehabilitation treatment. To this end, this study identified research trends of VR/AR technology, neurophysiology, and chronic brain disease and proposed a method for applying VR/AR technology to treat chronic brain disease patients in three stages. The first stage is to prepare a neurophysiological basis for rehabilitation treatment of brain disease patients using VR technology. The second stage is to provide a treatment method using VR/AR technology and systematize the contents characteristics. The third stage is to conduct clinical trails and validate that the treatment method and contents utilization is effective for the patient. It is hope that this study serves as a guide for developing media production base technology for treating patient with a chronic brain disease.

  • Although e-sports broadcasting market based on VR(Virtual Reality) is growing in these days, technology development for securing market competitiveness is quite inadequate in Korea. Global companies such as SLIVER and Facebook already developed and are trying to commercialize 360 VR broadcasting technology which is able to broadcast e-sports in 4K 30FPS VR video. However, 2D video is too poor to use for 360 VR video in that it brings less immersive experience and dizziness and has low resolution in the scene. this paper, we not only proposed and implemented virtual camera technology which is able to capture in-game space as 360 video with 4K 3D by 60FPS for e-sports VR broadcasting but also verified feasibleness of obtaining stereo 360 video up to 4K/60FPS by conducting experiment after setting up virtual camera in sample games from game engine and commercial games.
