  • With the development of virtual reality (VR)-related technology and the advent of the 5G era, VR-based streaming games or content have been developed and transmitted at high speed. Although VR technology is also being applied in education, health care, manufacturing, and production fields, its main application is for entertainment. VR technology has been developed based on hardware and various contents have been developed accordingly; however, the number of VR content with high entertainment value is insufficient, and there are primarily hands-on contents. In this paper, we propose a method for developing an writing tool that can enhance the productivity in the development and editing of VR content and create VR contents based on a timeline by reflecting the storytelling rather than by a simple empirical type to solve the bias in content style. The proposed VR content writing tool is expected to increase the productivity in VR content development and contribute to the creation of various styles of content. Its implementation can enable developers to create specific stories in a timeline and support several animation effects.

  • Recently, in the Game industries, they are increasing to use of game engines to reduce the development cost of 3D content and software. In particular, Unreal Engine provides a blueprint visual scripting function that enables software production without programming (coding). Although High-end video content can be produced, the problem is that content development is complicated and requires advanced manpower. To solve this problem, we propose an optimized VR game context process. This is because 1) a Blueprint visual script is used, 2) VR games with various interactions can be produced, 3) Non-majors in the software field (or groups) can develop advanced content. In various related industries such as defense, medical care, manufacturing, and construction, we may easily develop any game content without programming with our refined VR rhythm action game development process. We expect to reduce the development cost with the process advantages in the game industries.

  • Various 3D contents are being developed using Unity 3D game engine. In this paper, the 3D content of horseback riding game, the first VR game in the country, is designed and developed. The existing riding simulator is investigated and compared to the VR riding game developed. We consider various games developed using Unity 3D game engine and serve previously developed tangible games. It is expected that development of VR riding games will prepare a new chapter in VR experience-type games. We propose the content development environment and scenario of VR riding game and present the main algorithms and main modules for real-time synchronization. The developed riding game contents are deployed to the riding system and are operated for commercial use in conjunction with the riding device. Through monitoring VR riding system, problems are derived and improvement measures are proposed. We offer a variety of additional development options to make the game more realistic in the future.

  • Currently, hardware companies such as Oculus, Samsung, and HTC are producing virtual reality devices, and game software development companies are developing or servicing VR games using these devices. Accordingly, the VR game market is expected to continue to grow in the future. However, in order for the VR game market to become active, various problems raised during game development and service must be resolved. This paper investigates solutions to problems raised during the development and service of VR games, such as cyber sickness, risk of injury due to environmental restrictions during play, and reconnection induction problems. Cybersickness can be alleviated by utilizing multiple GPUs for each display processing to achieve higher frame rates and optimizing play space design. Environmental constraints during play can be mitigated by optimizing space design, and the problem of inducing reconnection can be solved by continuously providing the motivation and purpose used in existing game methods. Through this, we were able to apply it to develop VR content that can be played continuously.

  • Virtual reality is being increasingly used for healing and therapy for mental health. In this study, we developed VR-based immersive content that enables virtual travel without the limitations of time and physical conditions. We aim to develop and produce VR content for relaxation and meditation using the beautiful natural scenery. To make realistic and immersive content, we took a video of natural sceneries with a small UAV connected to a VR camera. The content was developed through stitching, video editing and post-processing of the initially captured video data, and then the created VR video was inserted into the VR device. The produced content will be helpful for stress and used to heal the mind and body of exhausted modern people by providing the place with great scenery and sound in an immersive way at any time.

  • The study aims to develop horticulture-based VR content so that users can find rest in their chaotic daily lives. Healing contents that increase user participation, immersion, emotional stability, and creativity and concentration were implemented by using teleports, plant illustrations, inventory, NPC functions, and drawing games. Garden viewing content using VR technology requires technical research and development to overcome the difference from reality, which can increase the reality of the content and the completeness of the experience. The reality of the VR experience will be increased by using high-resolution displays, high-performance processors, and sensors, and user feedback will be collected and continuously improved. Through this, users present new methods by relieving stress, feeling emotional stability, and providing experiences that are impossible in reality.

  • Immersion is a features of VR technology, and the most important condition for evaluating VR experience. With the improvement of VR technology, including the presentation accuracy of VR content, the degree of interaction is diversified, the user's immersion in VR equipment should not only be improved technically, but researched from the user's perception level. The paper defines two important factors, immersion and presence, in a participant's experience with a VR device. Although the current technology can already simulate the real environment information visually and audibly, the content of the VR environment is not enough for us to achieve a completely real experience. Based on the Flow theory of Csikszentmihalyi and the sensory immersion achieved by current technology, this paper proposes the key factors of how to achieve conscious immersion for users in VR media. We prove that immersion is an indicator of the true degree of sensory simulation of VR equipment and is the basis for the realization of flow experience. What really makes the participant feel a perfect experience is the content provided by the VR environment and gave participants a sense of presence, it is not limited to video or games. On the premise of the Multi-Sensory, Immersion, Interactivity and Imagination experience achieved by using virtual reality technology, combined with the content creation of flow theory, the interactive immersion achieved by users is an important method to realize the awareness immersion of VR equipment.

  • This study aims to explore the problems of the VR content industry, which is the core of the newly emerging fourth industrial revolution and convergence new industry, and to find alternatives to solve them. Through in-depth interviews with experts, we collected elements that impeded the development of VR content industry. As a result, the simplification of the VR simulator's content changes, the regulation of the VR simulator was newly established within the Game Industry Act, and the diversification of the input amount were the reasons. Simplification of deliberation provides the basis for new platform business. The new law is to reflect the characteristics of VR content properly and to avoid unnecessary regulation by existing laws. The adoption of various input methods is intended to actively expand the market for new industries. This study is expected to contribute the safe ecosystem by reviewing the factors that impede the development of the new industry as suggesting alternatives.

  • The VR(Virtuality Reality) technology provides very close experience to reality by stimulating humans' external recognition with artificial technologies. In order to overcome the limitation of real-environment training, VR is being applied in industry field as a key technology to prevent safety accident and its control procedure training. However, it is difficult to build VR-based training system because 3D modeling and software coding are necessary for materialization of VR environment demands of many development resource. In this research referring to VR based training content implementation, a method to utilizing VRDC(VR-based Dynamic visualization Component) is suggested and by applying it to plant safety training system, it was confirmed its practicality.

  • Practice through virtual reality can increase the educational effect regardless of time and place, and it is an educational method that is being pursued even in the situation of COVID-19. On the other hand, for VR-based education, related technology development and content development must be made, and experiential methods (flipped learning, blended learning, hybrid learning) must be provided in the educational process. The development scenario was developed with the contents of drone qualification test (ultra-light unmanned multicopter) and drone practice and the possibility of non-face-to-face self-directed learning (flipped learning, blended learning, hybrid learning). It is expected that the quality of vocational education related to drones and the effect of high education will be improved through the contents, and it is thought that it will be possible to suggest a direction for the development of various vocational education contents in non-face-to-face education.
