온라인 시장의 성장에 따른 패션산업 내 채용직종 및 직무 변화 및 교육방향 (Job type for recruitment, job function change and education direction in the fashion industry along with the growth of the online market)

  • As the online industry is vitalized by the fashion market, there is a tendency to believe that the recruitment of manpower in the online distribution field is increasing. Thus, this study attempts to analyze the job types and job functions for recruitment in the fashion industry based on job search sites and based on this, suggest an educational direction within the department of fashion design. First, when examining the size (number of employees) of fashion companies that posted jobs, the fashion companies with 30 or fewer employees accounted for 60.7% of the postings, and the location of the fashion companies was most commonly in Seoul with 144 companies located in Gangnam (Seocho-gu, Gangnam-gu). As for the recruitment conditions of the fashion companies, "academic level-irrelevant" was the highest with 42.6%, and in terms of gender and age, 59.3% of the cases were marked as "gender and/or age-irrelevant". Examining the types of jobs for recruitment in the fashion industry, fashion designers were the most popular at 52.6%, followed by on and off-line companies' MD, VMD, and stylist in that order. In the results of examining job function change, it is thought that the fashion design department should have basic educationon in that respect.

  • In this paper, we examined the trend information collected by apparel industries to develop fashionable products. We also investigated the product development process of a swimwear industry, ELLE Swimwear, through in-depth interviews. The results are as follows; 1. The apparel industries were collecting information about a fashion trend, international exhibitions and fairs, world collections, and a market trend to develop fashionable products. 2. As the swimwear consumers are spreaded in all ages, the launching of more specialized swimwear brand with ages is required. 3. These days, swimwear is not only an item of sportswear but also being a fashionable product on street. Therefore, the industries should try to develop a various assortment of swimwear capable of coordinating with multi-mix instead of developing a separate item. 4. To design and produce swimwear satisfying functional, sensual and cultural performance, the development of new materials and patterns are required. 5. Nurturing of swimwear pattern specialists dealing with CAD is urgently required. 6. Turning of understanding about the importance of VMD and more attractive marketing strategies by a specialized team are also required.

대형할인점 의류매장의 서비스품질, 가격과 품질지각, 및 점포이미지가 점포애호도에 미치는 영향 (A Study of the Service Quality, Perceived Price and Product Quality, and Store Image on Store Loyalty)

  • The goal of this study was to investigate the impacts of service quality, product quality, and perceived price on store loyalty of the clothes shops at a large-scale discount store. The subjects were 357 female adults living in Suncheon City, Jeollanam Province. The questionnaires were conveniently sampled from June 1 to 30, 2006. The collected data were factor and reliability analyzed using the SPSS program. And Regression was used to verified the relationships between the constructs. Among the five hypotheses set in the research model, total four were selected through empirical analysis and the rest one were rejected. The empirical results showed the following managerial implications. First, consumer' perceived service quality has a positive relationship with store image and store loyalty. Second, product quality has a positive relationship with store image. Third, store image has positively related with store loyalty. Fourth, perceived price has not significantly related with store loyalty. Finally, store image in large-scale discount store is 'sales people', 'VMD/atmosphere', and 'assortment' on forming the store image. Especially, 'assortment', 'oust and friendship', and 'symbol' have significantly related with store loyalty.

할인점 의류매장의 서비스품질과 고객만족이 재구매의도와 구전의도에 미치는 영향 (The Impacts of Service Quality and Customer Satisfaction on Re-purchase and Word of Mouth)

  • The goal of this study was to investigate the influence of customer service quality on customer satisfaction. Also the object of this study is to indicate the influence on word of mouth and intention of repurchase which is a variable of customer satisfaction. The subjects were 357 female adults living in Suncheon City, Jeollanam Province. The questionnaires were conveniently sampled from June 1 to 30, 2006. The collected data was analyzed by percentage, frequency, mean, factor analysis, reliability, regression using the SPSS program. The five hypotheses set in the research model, all were selected through empirical analysis. Main findings are as follows: As a result of factor analysis, customer service quality of discount store verified four items, that is, personal service, VMD of stores/atmosphere, store policy, product assortment. As a result of regression analysis, customer service quality influenced customer satisfaction. The intention of repurchase and word of mouth received a positive influence from customer satisfaction. The intention of repurchase influenced the word of mouth, and it received a positive influence from the word of mouth.

대형할인점 의류매장의 점포애호도에 대한 서비스 품질과 전환장벽 및 고객만족 영향력에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Study of the Service Quality, Customer Satisfaction, and Switching Barrier on Store Loyalty)

Among the six hypotheses set in the research model, total three were accepted through empirical analysis and the rest three were accepted partially. The empirical results showed the following managerial implications. First, consumer' perceived service quality has relationship with customer satisfaction and store loyalty. Second, service quality has a positive relationship with switch barrier. Third, customer satisfaction has significantly related with switch barrier. Fourth, switch barrier has positively related with store loyalty. Finally, 'sales people', 'VMD/atmosphere', and 'assortment' of the service quality factors have positive relationships with store loyalty, but 'policy' has a negative relationship with store loyalty.

한복 문화 산업의 발전을 위한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on the Development of Hanbok Culture Industry)

  • In this study, in-depth interviews with Hanbok experts on the development direction of the Hanbok culture industry were performed to listen to professional and future-oriented opinions for the development of Hanbok culture and the Hanbok industry. Interviews were conducted with 12 experts to identify the perception of the Hanbok culture industry and to confirm the possibility of sustainable development of Hanbok as a global culture. First, the results of this study should be preceded by the establishment of concepts such as traditional Hanbok, daily Hanbok, fusion Hanbok, and new Hanbok, and design, education, and government support suitable for each field are required. Second, the responsible craftsmanship of the Hanbok industry, the development of Hanbok design with the aesthetics and convenience of Hanbok designers, multi-dimensional research with high academic use, and systematic support for various Hanbok-related programs and events by the government are needed. Third, the government should promote and actively wear Hanbok through various media to revitalize the Hanbok culture, such as establishing a Hanbok wearing day, reviving etiquette education in school, and providing local-based Hanbok wearing experience education. Fourth, in order to cultivate professional manpower, detailed Hanbok education by field is necessary, and specialized education tools, such as distribution, VMD, and stylist are proposed.

에스닉 테마를 주제로 한 유행경향 예측에 관한 연구-‘97 F/W 로스엔젤레스 시장을 중심으로- (A Study on Trend Forecasting of the Ethnic Theme-Concentrating on Los Angels Market in '97 F/W-)

  • 본 연구는 Los Angels 중심의 서부지역 시장을 중심으로 에스닉 테마의 유행정보를 시장조사를 통해 예측한 연구이다. 연구의 진행은 먼저 에스닉 테마의 출현 배경을 고찰하고 전문점과 백화점 그리고 hadquarter의 현황을 조사한 수, Zip code를 통한 소비자의 라이프 스타일의 분석을 통하여 시장에 적합한 패션경향을 제시하였다. 연구의 요약은 다음과 같다. 1997년 가을.겨울 소매 상가들에서 두드러진 경향은 에스닉이다. 이는 복잡한 현대 생활에 대한 반동으로서 기본 생활의 단순성, 자연에 대한 올바른 평가로 되돌아가는 것을 상징한다. 이런 에스닉한 민속 디자인들의 전형은 자연의상, 원시예술, 동족문화와 아프리카 테마주변에서 확인된다. 이런 에스닉 패션을 요약하자면 단순성, 자연성, 편리성, 자유로 나타내진다. 한편 이런 경향의 hadquarter라 할 수 있는 Broadway와 Robinsons-May와 같은 일반 백화점에의 기준은 다양한 스타일로 다양한 고객들을 충족시켜야 하는 것이다. Broadway의 에스닉 성향의 상품은 아직 도입단계로 정상에 오르지 못한 상태이다. 이 상품의 판매를 높이려면 VMD를 통한 판매 홍보와 다양한 에스닉 성향의 상품제시, 노력이 필요하다. 이 밖에 대표적인 상가 중심지인 Beverly Center Broadway의 고객을 분석했을 때 이 상품을 살만한 고객은 25-34세와 35-44세의 나이 분포를 지닌 대부분의 전문 직종의 젊은층과 사회적 지위를 성취하고자 하는 이들이었다. 이들의 라이프 스타일은 직업 지향의 활동들, 유행에 뒤지지 않은 복장, 모든 면에서 세련된 생활을 강조한다. 이 중 특히 중요한 것이 있다면 이미지이다. 그들은 남과 구분되는 개성을 원한다. 이미지들은 이국적인 것에서부터 단순함, 순박함과 섹시함에 이르기까지 다양하다. 따라서 이상의 시장조사를 통한 소비자의 요구를 충족시킨 유행경향 제시는 패션시장에서 그 무한한 가능성을 창출하도록 할 것이다.

트랙터 부착 붐 방제기 노즐 분무특성 (Characteristic of Tractor Attachment Boom Sprayer Nozzle)

  • Spraying of nozzles and design of tractor-attached boom sprayers have been studied for analysis of liquid spraying features. The following conclusions have been drawn. At all pressures, twin flat spray tips was finer than flat spray tips. A fine spray with VMD of 101 to 200 appeared at 1.5MPa. So, it was selected as the boom sprayer nozzle. In spraying uniformity analysis, Type B was proven to have more uniformity than Type A and Type C at 52.0 cm attached distance. Type A and Type C were proven to have more uniformity than Type B at 58.5 cm attached distance. It is concluded that these results reflect atomizing characteristics of nozzles during pest control with tractor-attached boom sprayer. Therefore, optimum setting will be putting Type C with 58.5 cm distance.

패스트 패션(Fast Fashion)의 전략적 특성과 패션 경향 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Strategies and Fashion Styles in Fast Fashion)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the main characteristics of strategies and fashion styles in fast fashion. Ultimately, this study is aimed to give useful information to develop fast fashion companies in Korean apparel industry. There are several strategies commonly applied in most fast fashion companies. First, they produce a wide range of numerous items. Second, the price is very reasonable. The primary objective of fast fashion is to quickly produce products in a cost efficient manner. Third, fast fashion companies take charge in the whole process from designing and manufacturing to distribution and sales. Forth, while almost all apparel companies invest a large amount in advertisement to promote sales, most fast fashion companies invest in VMD instead. Also, the fashion style of fast fashion were examined. First, casual style dominated a big part in composition of the entire style. Second, they use various kinds of different fabrics. For example, natural fabrics including organic and recycled fabrics, denims, newly invented high-tech fabrics, and decorative fabrics are widely used. Third, fast fashion brands produce fashion product based on the most recent fashion trends. Forth, they pursue high quality design. Retailers' understanding of the target market's wants realizes the consumer to thrive on constant change and the frequent availability of new products. Accordingly, fast fashion is presently taking an important role in fashion although it has a short history compared to the general apparel industry.

Optimization of three small-scale solar membrane distillation desalination systems

  • Membrane distillation (MD), which can utilize low-grade thermal energy, has been extensively studied for desalination. By incorporating solar thermal energy, the solar membrane distillation desalination system (SMDDS) is a potential technology for resolving the energy and water resource problems. Small-scale SMDDS (s-SMDDS) is an attractive and viable option for the production of fresh water for small communities in remote arid areas. The minimum-cost design and operation of s-SMDDS are determined by a systematic method, which involves a pseudo steady state approach for equipment sizing and the dynamic optimization using overall system mathematical models. The s-SMDDS employing three MD configurations, including the air gap (AGMD), direct contact (DCMD) and vacuum (VMD) types, are optimized. The membrane area of each system is $11.5m^2$. The AGMD system operated for 500 kg/day water production rate gives the lowest unit cost of $5.92/m^3$. The performance ratio and recovery ratio are 0.85 and 4.07%, respectively. For the commercial membrane employed in this study, the increase of membrane mass transfer coefficient up to two times is beneficial for cost reduction and the reduction of membrane heat transfer coefficient only affects the cost of the DCMD system.
