지역사회 중심 집단 걷기운동 프로그램의 운영 효과 분석 (Effects of Community-Based Group Walking Exercise Program)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a group walking exercise on body composition, blood lipid profiles and psychological factors. Also this study was to examine the satisfaction of walking exercise and characteristics of the exercise behavior among participants. Method: The subjects, aged 30 to 77 years, were 138 participants in a 24-week, group walking exercise. A walking exercise protocol and education was given to the participants, which was to do walking over three times a week and over thirty minutes each time. We compared the participants' body composition (BMI, PBF, BFM, FFM, WHR and VFA), blood lipid profiles (HDL-C, LDL-C, total cholesterol, triglyceride), exercise self-efficacy and quality of life before and after group walking excercise. Collected data were analyzed through paired t-test using the SAS program. Results: Mean walking frequency was 11.4 times per month and mean walking time was 71.5 min. BMI, PBF, BFM, WHR, and VFA were significantly decreased. FFM increased significantly (p=.0002). There were significant decreased in TC, LDL-C and TG.. Exercise self-efficacy did not increase significantly, but quality of life increased significantly(p=.0088). Conclusion: Community-Based 24 weeks group walking exercise program had positive effects on body composition, blood lipids and quality of life.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a group walking exercise program on body composition, blood lipids and psychological factors at a community. Method: The subjects were 200 women(29 groups) who agreed to participate in group walking exercise for three months. Their ages ranged between 30 to 77 years. A simple walking exercise protocol was given to the participants, which was to do walking over three times a week and over thirty minutes each time. We compared the participants' body composition (BMI, PBF, BFM, FFM, WHR and VFA), blood lipids (HDL C, LDL C, total cholesterol, triglyceride) and exercise-self efficacy, self esteem, and quality of life before and after group walking. Collected data were analyzed through paired t test using the SAS program. Results: BMI. PBF, BFM, WHR, and VFA were significantly reduced (p<.01). However. FFM did not increase significantly (p=.416). There were significant changes in TC and TG (p<.01) but not in LDL C (P=.340). HDL C decreased but within the normal range. Exercise-self efficacy and quality of life did not increase significantly. Only self esteem increased significantly (p<.0001). Conclusion: Group walking exercise had positive effects on body composition, blood lipid and self esteem in community women.

Effect of ruminal administration of soy sauce oil on rumen fermentation, milk production and blood parameters in dairy cows

  • Objective: To evaluate soy sauce oil (a by-product of making whole soybean soy sauce) as a new dietary lipid source, a large amount of soy sauce oil was administered into the rumen of dairy cows. Methods: Four Holstein dairy cows fitted with rumen cannulae were used in a 56-day experiment. Ruminal administration of soy sauce oil (1 kg/d) was carried out for 42 days from day 8 to day 49 to monitor nutritional, physiological and production responses. Results: Dry matter intake and milk yield were not affected by soy sauce oil administration, whereas 4% fat-corrected milk yield and the percentage of milk fat decreased. Although ruminal concentration of total volatile fatty acids (VFA) and the proportion of individual VFA were partially affected by administration of soy sauce oil, values were within normal ranges, showing no apparent inhibition in rumen fermentation. Administration of soy sauce oil decreased the proportions of milk fatty acids with a carbon chain length of less than 18, and increased the proportions of stearic, oleic, vaccenic and conjugated linoleic acids. Conjugated linoleic acid content in milk became 5.9 to 8.8 times higher with soy sauce oil administration. Blood serum concentrations of non-esterified fatty acid, 3-hydroxybutyric acid, total cholesterol, free cholesterol, esterified cholesterol, triglyceride and phospholipid increased with administration of soy sauce oil, suggesting a higher energy status of the experimental cows. Conclusion: The results suggest that soy sauce oil could be a useful supplement to potentially improve milk functionality without adverse effects on ruminal fermentation and animal health. More detailed analysis is necessary to optimize the supplementation level of this new lipid source in feeding trials.

젠트로 $F^{(R)}$의 복부지방에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Gentro $F^{(R)}$ on Abdomen Fat)

  • The participants were recruited 77 healthy adult persons aged between 20 and 50 who have BMI above $25kg/m^2$ in this study. All subjects were randomly assigned to the Gentro $F^{(R)}$ drinking group and non-drinking group. We were investigated about abdomen fat decreasing effect of Gentro $F^{(R)}$, distillate of pepper. Total fat area (TFA), subcutaeneous fat area (SFA) and visceral fat area (VFA) and subcutaneous fat area/visceral fat area ratio (SVR) has been assessed by obesity index (BMI, body fat percent, waist circumference), CT scan taken on the $L4{\sim}5$ position, umbilicus level and blood analysis evaluated during 3 month. The obesity indexes were a little decreased in two groups. However, the waist circumference (WC) was decreased about 5% in drinking group after 3 month and there was significant difference in the change 2 and 3 between two group. TFA and VFA were significantly decreased in the drinking group compare to the non-drinking group (p<0.05) and in umbilicus and $L4{\sim}5$ position, were $370.33{\pm}92.30,\;380.35{\pm}97.64\;and\;114.90{\pm}44.91,\;101.99{\pm}41.24$, respectively. These result means that Gentro $F^{(R)}$ is effective on abdomen fat decreasing. Total cholesterol were decreased without difference in both groups. Lipid factors (TG, HDL- and LDL-cholesterol) were decreased without significance. The mea surement of SVR taken on the $L4{\sim}5$ position were more significantly correlated with obesity index that BMI was 0.787, body fat percentage was 0.754 than on the umbilicus level. The TFA and VSA was correlated with ALP, ASP, Albumin, Insulin and the SVR was correlated with the indexes of liver function and lipid factor found in the blood. Therefore, it is conclude that Gentro $F^{(R)}$ drinking leads to a decrease in abdominal obesity by reducing waist circumference and visceral fat area.

  • Holstein종(種) 유우(乳牛)에 있어서 제1위내(第1胃內)의 휘발성지방산(揮發性脂肪酸)(VFA)과 혈지질(血脂質)의 농도(濃度)가 식이조성(食餌造成), 번식상태(繁殖狀態) 그리고 케톤요증(尿症)과 케논증(症)에 미치는 효과를 알아보고저 시도(試圖)하여, 출산(出産) 13~15일전(日前)과 출산후(出産後) 15일(日)에 6두(頭)의 건강(健康)한 유우(乳牛)(제I군(第I群)), 9두(頭)의 케톤요증(尿症) 유우(乳牛)(제II군(第II群)) 그리고 8두(頭)의 케톤(증)症 유우(乳牛)(III군(III群))들을 중심(中心)으로 검사(檢事)하여 보고 그 결과(結果)를 다음과 같이 적요(摘要)한다. 가소화영양종양(可消化營養總量)(TDN)과 가소화단백질(可消化蛋白質)(DCP)은 산후(産後)에 증가추세(增加趨勢)를 보이고, 각군(各群)의 휘발성지방산농도(揮發性脂肪酸濃度)는 산전(産前)에 비(比)하여 산후(産後)에 낮았는데, 그 중(中)에서도 제I군(第I群)(건강(健康))의 경우에는 산전(産前)과 후(後)에 제II군(第II群)(케톤요증(尿症))에 비(比)하여 다소(多少) 높았다. 제I군(第I群)에 있어서 산후(産後)에 초산당양비율(醋酸當量比率)은 감소(減少) 경향(傾向)을 보였으나, 제II군(第II群)과 제III군(第III群)에서는 계속(繼續) 증가(增加) 되었다. 제I군(第I群)에서의 산후(産後) 프로피온산당비율(酸當比率)은 증가(增加)되는 반면(反面)에 제I군(第I群)과 제II군(第III群)에서는 계속(繼續) 감소(減少) 경향(傾向)을 보였다. 혈중(血中) 콜레스테롤, 유이(遊離)콜레스테롤 및 콜레스테롤-에스텔, HDL-cholesterol, 인지질(燐脂質) 및 유이지방산(遊離脂肪酸) 등의 농도(濃度)는 전시험군(全試驗群)에서 산후(産後)에 감소(減少) 경향(傾向)을 보였으며, 그 중(中)에서도 제I군(第I群)은 제III군(第III群)에 비(比)하여 보다 낮았으며, 그 중간(中間)은 제II군(第II群) 이었다. 중성지방(中性脂肪)은 산후(産後)에 감소(減少) 경향(傾向)을 보였으며, 특(特)히 케톤증(症)의 제III군(第III群)은 현저(顯著)한 감소(減少)가 관찰(觀察)되었다.

유산소 운동이 폐경 후 비만여성의 혈청지질, 렙틴, 그렐린 및 인슐린저항성지수에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Aerobic Exercise on Serum Blood Lipids, Leptin, Ghrelin, and HOMA-IR Factors in Postmenopausal Obese Women)

  • 본 연구는 체지방률이 32% 이상인 폐경 후 비만여성 36명을 대상으로 유산소운동이 혈청지질, 렙틴, 그렐린 및 인슐린저항성지수에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위하여 운동집단(18명)과 통제집단(18명)으로 나누어 유산소운동인 라인댄스를 16주간 실시한 후 체조성, 혈청지질, 렙틴, 그렐린 및 인슐린저항성지수를 운동전과 후로 측정하여 비교분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과 운동 후에 운동집단에서 체중, 체지방률(%BF), 체질량지수(BMI), 내장지방면적(VFA), 렙틴(Leptin), 인슐린(Insulin), 글루코스(Glucose), 인슐린저항성지수(HOMA-IR), 총콜레스테롤(TC), 중성지방(TG), 아포리포프로틴(Apolipoprotein) B, 저밀도지단백 콜레스테롤(LDL-C) 및 수축기혈압(SBP)이 유의하게 감소하였다. 또한 아포리포프로틴(Apolipoprotein) A-1, 그렐린(Ghrelin) 및 고밀도지단백 콜레스테롤(HDL-C)이 유의하게 증가하였다. 유산소운동집단의 내장지방면적에 영향을 미치는 에너지대사조절인자의 회귀분석결과에서 주요요인으로 그렐린, 인슐린, 글루코스 및 HOMA-IR 나타났다. 따라서 규칙적이고 지속적인 유산소운동이 폐경 후 비만여성의 체조성, 내장지방, 혈청지질, 렙틴, 그렐린 및 HOMA-IR을 개선시키는 데 효과가 있을 것으로 생각된다.
