Efficient Problem-Solving Idea Generation in the Design Phase VE of Construction Projects using Business Creativity Codes(BCC) (건설 설계VE의 효율적 문제해결 아이디어 도출을 위한 비즈니스 창의성 코드(BCC) 활용방안)

  • Although the importance of creative thinking is rapidly increasing in the new century, the generation of creative ideas and its application in the construction industry have been considered relatively difficult. Thus there have been a few studies on the subject that how to apply creative thinking tools with empirical evidence in the construction industry. Value engineering(VE) has been widely applied in the design phase of construction projects due to the government regulation, Brainstorming has been the most prevalent idea generation techniques in the VE activities during the past several decades. Contrary to popular belief, the performance of brainstorming is not so good. It is known as the brainstorming myth. This paper proposes the business creativity codes(BCC) as an alternative idea generation tool in the design phase VE of construction projects. In order to examine the effectiveness of the BCC, 50 successful field cases awarded in the design VE competition of government agency are used. The result shows that the BCC can be used as an effective idea generation tool in the design phase VE construction projects.

Network Throughput Analysis of Mechanical Relay Assisted Transmission in Wireless Line Networks (데이터 운송 중계기를 운용하는 무선 선형 네트워크에서의 전송률 성능 분석)

  • Mechanical Relay (McR) is a relaying architecture to enable data communications, where it can endure the transportation delay and intermittent disconnection. Every kind of vehicular infrastructures can be readily utilized for the mechanical relaying in the manner of moving natures, which brings the most significant consequences compared to conventional relaying schemes. In this paper, we analyze the ergodic network throughput of McR in wireless line networks (WLN) to compare the results between employing McRs and direct multi-hopping through the users without McRs. We demonstrate the McR scheme that are not only Ve-SISO but also Ve-SIMO/MISO. The numerical results of ergodic network throughputs contribute to the trade-off relation depending on the speed v of McRs, intensity factors ${\lambda}_u$ and ${\lambda}_r$, and the methods of how McRs are utilized.

  • Since the concerns for safety of highway traffic safety facilities inherent in various environmental risk is increased, systematic performance, cost, and effect analysis process is needed for this. In case of median barrier among various traffic safety facilities, quantitative risk assessment is inevitable because it has lots of direct/indirect risk factors. Thus, this study suggests an advanced VE(Value Engineering) approach incorporating quantitative risk analysis. For the applicability, suggested VE approach considering alternative 1(140cm) and 2(127cm) is applied to median barrier in fields. Also, major improvement objects are extracted from governing factors of cost and performance based on functional analysis. It is concluded that the proposed risk assessment methodology will provide rational and practical solutions for best value and the approach could effectively applied for various traffic safety facilities by slight modification of suggest process.

A Comparative Study on the Performance of Korean Sentence Embedding (Word2Vec, GloVe 및 RoBERTa 등의 모델을 활용한 한국어 문장 임베딩 성능 비교 연구)

  • 자연어처리에서 임베딩이란 사람의 언어를 컴퓨터가 이해할 수 있는 벡터로 변환한 것으로 자연어처리의 필수 요소 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 단어 기반 임베딩인 Word2Vec, GloVe, fastText와 문장 기반 임베딩 기법인 BERT와 M-USE, RoBERTa를 사용하여 한국어 문장 임베딩을 만들어 NSMC, KorNLI, KorSTS 세 가지 태스크에 대한 성능을 확인해보았다. 그 결과 태스크에 따라서 적합한 한국어 문장 임베딩 기법이 달라지며, 태스크에 따라서는 BERT의 평균 임베딩보다 GloVe의 평균 임베딩과 같은 단어 기반의 임베딩이 좋은 성능을 보일 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • As value engineering in design phase is big in the effect of application, analysis by systematic procedures is required. The most important part is the stage of creation for making of idea. It takes much time for us to make good idea involving the brainstorming and delphi in recent making idea. It is expected because most experts in participating in design value engineering is to approach with less effective method. In this study we suggest that application of ASIT(Advanced Systematic Inventive Thinking) is the method as way of creative idea making. ASIT is expected to perform Idea making with systematic procedure and to create effective idea in short time.

  • Recently due to large-scale data spread in digital economy, the era of big data is coming. Through big data, unstructured text data consisting of technical text document, confidential document, false information documents are experiencing serious problems in the runoff. To prevent this, the need of art to sort and process the document consisting of unstructured text data has increased. In this paper, we propose a novel text classification scheme which learns some data sets and correctly classifies unstructured text data into two different categories, True and False. For the performance evaluation, we implement our proposed scheme using $Na{\ddot{i}}ve$ Bayes document classifier and TF-IDF modules in Python library, and compare it with the existing document classifier.

  • 본 연구는 수많은 챗봇이 생성될 수 있는 챗봇 빌더 시스템에서 저비용 컴퓨팅 파워에서도 구동 가능한 가벼운 문장 분류 시스템을 제안하며, 미등록어 처리를 위해 워드 임베딩 기법인 GloVe를 이용하여 문장 벡터를 생성하고 이를 추가 자질로 사용하는 방법을 소개한다. 제안한 방법으로 자체 구축한 테스트 말뭉치를 이용하여 성능을 평가해본 결과 최대 93.06% 성능을 보였으며, 자체 보유한 CNN 모델과의 비교 평가 결과 성능은 2.5% 낮지만, 모델 학습 속도는 25배, 학습 시 메모리 사용량은 6배, 생성된 모델 파일 크기는 302배나 효율성 있음을 보였다.

  • Railway fields are complicatedly connected with engineering such as physics, civil engineering, architecture engineering, electrical engineering (Telecommunication, signal, catenary, system), machine engineering and performance phase of project in domestic railway can be divided with four steps : planning, design, supervision, construction.   • VE aims at reduction in a budget, improvement of function, structural safety and quality security for public construction projects. However, there is possibility for the structural safety and quality security review to be insufficient because related regulations are mostly composed of analysis on economic efficiency of design. In addition, due to the misconception about VE as a cost saving methodology, an alternative is being presented which still focuses mainly on cost saving, but with no objective evaluation of function related to cost. In order to improve this, the government adopted the reduction of life cycle cost and proposal of value improvement, and let people specify the cost and function of the original plan versus the alternative plan, and the value changes between them. However, it is written mainly into practical convenience rather than theoretical basis since a specific way is not suggested. The current method sets a different starting point by applying the attributional difference of function and cost. Furthermore, an evaluation standard for correlating is an important element in rational decision making for assessing and choosing an alternative. This paper analyzes the process and method of function & cost scoring when performing VE and suggests a mathematical normalization model in order to support rational decision making when selecting an optimum plan.
