SURFACE ROUGHNESS AND MICROLEAKAGE OF CLASS V COMPOSITE RESTORATIONS : EFFECT OF SURFACE SEALING (치경부 5급 와동 수복물의 표면 거칠기와 미세누출에 관한 연구 : 표면 전색의 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of surface sealing materials on microleakage and surface roughness in Class V composite restorations. Twenty five standardized Class V cavity preparations were made on the facial surface of human premolars and were randomly assigned to 5 groups. The teeth were restored with Z-250 after applying Single Bond. Following 7 days storage in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$, the restorations were sealed as following systems : No sealing ; Single Bond Adhesive ; Biscover ; Fortify ; Optiguard. Then, toothbrush abrasion test was conducted using a wear testing machine. Surface roughness was measured by means of profilometer before and after toothbrushing and the results were statistically analysed by using a paired t-test and ANOVA. The bonded interfaces and the changes of surface roughness were examined by SEM. For microleakage test, specimens were stained in a $2\%$ methylene blue solution, then longitudinally sectioned and analyzed for leakage at occlusal and cervical interfaces using stereomicroscope. The results were statistically analysed by using a Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U test. Surface roughness was increasing in all groups after toothbrushing, but no statistically significant differences. In SEM observation, surface sealant was partially retained and partially detached in bonded interfaces. Especially, microgap was identified in cervical margins. In microleakage test, there was better seal in the enamel region and a significant difference between groups at occlusal margin. Control group and Single Bond group had significantly better marginal seal at enamel margin than cervical margin.

Comparison in the productivity of Pleurotus ostreatus sawdust spawn based on the medium composition (느타리 톱밥종균 배지조성에 따른 생산성 비교)

  • This study was performed to find a medium material that can replace Douglas fir sawdust and rice bran in spawn media for growing spawn directly in the oyster mushroom farm. The pH range, total nitrogen source, and total carbon source of the mixed spawn medium were 5.3~5.9, 0.65~1.11%, and 47.0~49.1%, respectively. The C/N ratio was high in the mixed medium of poplar sawdust, with a low total nitrogen content. The protein content was high in the medium containing fermented Douglas fir sawdust. The mycelium growth rate was higher in the medium containing wheat bran than that in the medium containing rice bran. The highest yield per bottle was observed with poplar sawdust, oak sawdust, and rice bran mixed at a ratio of 40:40:20 (v/v/v); however, there was no significant difference observed in terms of productivity with the other treatments. Thus, when growing sawdust spawns in farms, it is efficient to use poplar sawdust, oak sawdust, and wheat bran, which are also easily available, instead of Douglas fir sawdust and rice bran.

  • The purposes of this study were to find out highly market sharing young casual brands, to compare their trends of concept and competition, and to propose orientation of brand concept repositioning and marketing strategies on Department stores. Reference searching method and field searching method were used for this study. The results were as follows: 1. The brands which covered more than 50% market share included <96NY> . 2. Price range of these brands was from 130,000 to 220,000 won. The brands of upper-moderate price zone included <96NY> and they were very competitive each other. The brands of moderate price zone included and they were also very competitive between them. However, the brands of lower-moderate price zone had lower competition. This price zone might be a good point to launch new brands. 3. The main target-age of young casual zone was from 17 to 30 years. The most of brands focused on 21-25 years old, which were higher age targeted before. 4. The main concepts of these brands were 'luxury, girlish, sexy' and 'Sportism, lifestyle' were sub-concepts.

Scenario and Network Performance Evaluation for A Do Not Pass Warning Service Based on Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communications (차량 간 통신 기반 추월보조 서비스를 위한 시나리오 및 네트워크 성능 평가)

  • Due to the development of ITS technology, various services related to transportation under vehicular environments have been provided. Especially, as wireless communication technology, WAVE has been established as a standard for vehicle-to-vehicle communications. WAVE has fast connection and excellent mobility characteristics. A VSC-A project is conducting by global automotive OEMs in USDOT. This project introduces the advanced safety services with vehicle-to-vehicle communications. In this paper, we presented the scenario of a do not pass warning service, which prevents an accident during overtaking activity by using vehicle-to-vehicle communications. In addition, we analyzed network performance under WAVE. In conclusion, we introduced the simulation results. Finally, we summarized the communication range and delay values for consideration factors for a overtaking model.

박막 실리콘 태양전지의 도핑층 광손실 제거 기술

  • 박막 실리콘 태양전지에 입사한 빛 중 흡수층인 진성 비정질 실리콘층(i-a-Si)에 흡수된 빛은 출력으로 변환되나, 기타의 층에서 흡수된 빛은 손실 성분이 된다. 이 중 흡수 손실이 큰 층은 도핑 층(p-a-SiC 및 n-a-Si)들인데, 이 들의 흡수 손실을 측정된 광학함수를 이용해 계산해 보면 Fig. 1과 같이 나타난다. p-a-SiC은 광 입사부에 위치하여 단파장 영역의 흡수 손실을 일으키고, n-a-Si 은 태양전지의 후면에 위치하여 장파장 영역의 흡수손실을 일으킨다. 이러한 도핑층에서의 흡수 손실을 제거 또는 개선하기 위해 도핑층의 재료를 기존 재료보다 광학적 밴드갭이 큰 재료로 대체하여 개선하는 방안에 대해 논하고자 한다. 금속 산화물의 밴드갭은 실리콘 화합물에 비하여 대체로 큰 값을 가지기 때문에 이를 기존의 실리콘 화합물 대신으로 사용한다면 광학적 흡수 손실을 효과적으로 줄일 수 있다. 단, 이때 태양전지의 광 전압을 결정하는 인자가 p층과 n층 사이의 일함수 차이에 해당하므로, p층의 대체층으로 사용 가능한 금속 산화물은 일함수가 큰(>5 eV) 재료 중에서 선택하는 것이 적합하며, n층의 대체층으로 사용 가능한 금속 산화물은 일함수가 작은(< 4.2 eV) 재료 중에서 선택하는 것이 적합하다. Table 1에서 p층과 n층 대체용 금속산화물의 후보들을 정리하였다. 먼저 도핑층에서의 광 흡수가 광손실이 될 수 밖에 없는 물리적 근거에 대해서 논하고, 그 실험적인 증명을 제시한다. 이러한 개념을 바탕으로 도핑층의 내부 전기장의 방향을 제어하여 전자-정공쌍을 분리 수집하는 방법을 실험적으로 구현하였다. 이어서 금속 산화물을 부분적으로 대체하여 흡수 손실을 개선하는 방안을 제시한다. WOx, NiOx, N doped ZnO 등을 적용하여 그 효과를 비교 검토하였다. 끝으로 금속산화믈 대체 또는 쇼트키 접합을 적용하여 도핑층의 광 흡수를 줄이고 효율을 향상하는 방안을 제시한다. 그 사례로서 WOx, MoOx, LiF/Al의 적용결과를 살펴보고 추가 개선방안에 대해 토의할 것이다. 결론적으로 광학적 밴드갭이 큰 재료를 도핑층 대신 사용하여 흡수 손실을 줄이는 것이 가능하다는 것을 알 수 있고, 이 때 일함수 조건이 만족이 되면 광 전압의 손실도 최소화할 수 있다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 현재까지 연구의 한계와 문제점을 정리하고, 추가 연구에 의한 개선 가능성 및 실용화 개발과의 연관관계 등을 제시할 것이다.

A Unified Analytical Surface Potential Model for SOI MOSFETs (SOI MOSFET의 모든 동작영역을 통합한 해석적 표면전위 모델)

  • We present a new unified analytical front surface potential model, which can accurately describe the transitions between the partially-depleted (PD) and the fully-depleted (FD) regimes with an analytical expression for the critical voltage V$_{c}$ delineating the PD and the FD region. It is valid in all regions of operation (from the sub -threshold to the strong inversion) and has the shorter calculation time than the iterative procedure approach. A charge sheet model based on the above explicit surface potential formulation is used to derive a single formula for the drain current valid in all regions of operation. Most of the secondary effects can be easily included in the charge sheet model and the model accurately reproduces various numerical and experimental results. No discontinuity in the derivative of the surface potential is found even though three types of smoothing functions are used. More importantly, the newly introduced parameters used in the smoothing functions do not strongly depend on the process parameter.

A Study on the Changes of Frying Oil in Cooking (튀김 조리에 의한 식용유지의 변화에 관한 연구)

  • This work was carried out to investigate the changes of chemical and physical properties of frying oil, when it was used many times continuously without adding new oil. Four kinds of frying oil (soybean oil, rapeseed oil, shortening and crude lard) and slices of potato and Aji (kind of fish) were used in the experiment under the condition of home cooking. Obtained results were as in the followings. 1. Acid values and peroxide values of each frying oil were under the safety level (A. V = 1.5, Po. V = 50) except crude lard, when frying works were continuously repeated five times for 50 days. 2. Changes of saponification values of each frying oil showed a decreasing tendency except the crude lard. But in cases, stickiness or clothing of oil were not seen in frying even at the five times frying. 3. Changes of optical density of each frying oil showed a decreasing tendency in all cases, according to the times of frying, especially at the first time frying. 4. Maximum heights of the shamp of each frying oil and their shampholding activites when heated, were slowly increased according to the times of frying. 5. Without concerning the cooking condition (kinds of oil, cooking material and repeating times of frying) decrement of oil in once frying was almost exactly 20g per 150g. 6. Decrements of cooking material in all cases of frying showed almost constant values, potato to be 40% and Aji 20%. 7. Differences of smoke point between new and old oil (frying repeated 5 times) showed also almost constant values. Liquid oil (soybean oil and rapeseed oil) showed number (6-$10^{\circ}C$), on the contrally solid oil (shortening and crude lard) a high number (10-$25^{\circ}C$). 8. Results of public tastic for the frying products were almost good even in that of a low five times frying, but the products, of third time frying with crude lard were expressed as disagreeable.

Lysophosphatidylethanolamine (LPE) Improves Fruit Size, Color, Quality and Phytochemical Contents of Sweet Cherry c.v. '0900 Ziraat'

  • Lysophosphatidylethanolamine (LPE) affects the quality of flowers, fruits, and other horticultural products. Studies have provided evidence that LPE can accelerate ripening of fruits and prolong shelf-life at the same time. In this study, the influence of LPE on anthocyanin accumulation and phytochemical characteristics of sweet cherry was investigated. LPE ($10mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$) was applied to a commercial sweet cherry c.v. '0900 Ziraat' orchard two and four weeks before harvest for two treatment years (2011 and 2012). Preharvest applications of LPE resulted in significant improvement in both pomological and phytochemical attributes at harvest. LPE treatment led to a 17% increase in fruit weight and a 6% increase in soluble solid content when averaged over two experimental years. Fruit phytochemical content and antioxidant capacity were increased significantly. The average total phenolic content of LPE-treated fruits for the two years was $703{\mu}g$ gallic acid equivalent (GAE)/g fresh weight (g FW) compared to $569{\mu}g$ GAE/g FW in the untreated control. Fruits treated with LPE had a 27% and 16% more anthocyanin than the control fruits in 2011 and 2012. Antioxidant capacity of fruits, as measured by TEAC (Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity) assay, was 12.5 and $11.4{\mu}mol$ TE/g FW in LPE-treated and untreated control fruits, respectively, when averaged over two experimental years. Our results suggest that preharvest application of LPE may have the potential to increase anthocyanin accumulation, improve fruit quality and enhance phytochemical characteristics of sweet cherries.

Distribution and Spawning of the Yellow Goosefish , Lophius litulon (황아귀 Lophius litulon 의 분포와 산란)

  • Variation of the catches and fishing grounds, and spawning ecology of Lophius litulon caught by large staw net were investigated from following as ; L. litulon caught through the year, and the peak in catches showed on January in winter, and the lowest catches showed on August in summer. The fishing grounds of L. litulon were located in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea. And the main fishing ground was formed in the adjacent waters of Ilhyang-cho, where catches and CPUE were more than 50 M/T, 5 kg/haul, respectively, and the range of coefficient of variation(C.V) was 0.6~0.7. The spawning season of L. litulon was on March and April, when spawning area was formed in waters between Ilhyang-Cho and Cheju-Do. The fishing grounds distribution of L. litulon was obviously different with seasonal variation. Namely, in winter, the fishing grounds were mainly formed in the western waters of Cheju-Do, and on March and April( in spawning season), the fishing grounds were densely formed in the adjacent waters of Ilhyang-Cho, and after May, the fishing grounds were widely dispersed towards in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea with temperature upgrade.

Polymorphism of mitochondrial DNA in Jindo dogs and Japanese mongrels dogs (DNA 다형(多型)에 있어서 진도견(珍島犬)과 잡종견(雜種犬)과의 비교(比較))

  • Mitochondrial DNA(mt DNA) of Mammalian is the circular one which the 16.5K base pairs and show the maternal inheritance. Evolutional speed of nucleotide sequence is very fast. So that polymorphic analysis of mt DNA provide the useful informations to investigate the genetic relations of interspecies. Authors trials were focussed to compare with the polymorphic differences of mitochondrial DNA between Jindo and Japanese mongrel dogs. DNA was extracted from bloods of 21 head of Jindo dogs and 20 head of Japanese dogs and isolated using 10 kinds of restriction endonucleases(Apa I, BamH I, Bgl II, EcoR I, EcoR V, Hinc II. Hind III, Pst I, Sty I, Xba I) and then separated by the agarose gel electrophoresis. After sourthern blotting hybridization was completed using the mtDNA of Japanese mongrel dogs as a probe. Autoradiography was used to compare the polymorphism of mtDNA both dogs. The results obtained were as follows; 1. mt DNA of Jindo dog showed polymorphism resulting cleavage with four kinds of restriction endonuclease, Apa I, EcoR V, Hinc II, Sty I. While in the Japanese mongrel dogs observed the polymorphism in the five kinds of restriction endonuclease supplemented with EcoR I. 2. Compared with both dogs the frequency differences of DNA polymorphism were recognized in the specific restriction endonuclease Apa I. Consequently in the restriction endonuclease Apa I both dogs classified with three types as A, B, C however in the Jindo dogs frequency of C type was 71.5 percent but in Japanese mongrel dogs observed 45 percent in the A type. 3. DNA polymorphism obtained from the use of five kinds of restriction endonuclease were classified with seven types. In Jindo dogs frequency was highest in the type 6 as 71.4 percent but in the Japanese mongrel dogs showed 35 percent in the type 5. 4. Genetic distances calculated by NEI method showed 0.0089 in Jindo dogs and was 0.0094 in the Japanese mongrel dogs.
