  • In this paper, we investigate the fractional p&q-Kirchhoff type system $$\{M_1([u]^p_{s,p})(-{\Delta})^s_pu+V_1(x){\mid}u{\mid}^{p-2}u\\{\hfill{10}}={\ell}k^{-1}F_u(x,\;u,\;v)+{\lambda}{\alpha}(x){\mid}u{\mid}^{m-2}u,\;x{\in}{\Omega}\\M_2([u]^q_{s,q})(-{\Delta})^s_qv+V_2(x){\mid}v{\mid}^{q-2}v\\{\hfill{10}}={\ell}k^{-1}F_v(x,u,v)+{\mu}{\alpha}(x){\mid}v{\mid}^{m-2}v,\;x{\in}{\Omega},\\u=v=0,\;x{\in}{\partial}{\Omega},$$ where ${\Omega}{\subset}{\mathbb{R}}^N$ is an unbounded domain with smooth boundary ${\partial}{\Omega}$, and $0<s<1<p{\leq}q$ and sq < N, ${\lambda},{\mu}>0$, $1<m{\leq}k<p^*_s$, ${\ell}{\in}R$, while $[u]^t_{s,t}$ denotes the Gagliardo semi-norm given in (1.2) below. $V_1(x)$, $V_2(x)$, $a(x):{\mathbb{R}}^N{\rightarrow}(0,\;{\infty})$ are three positive weights, $M_1$, $M_2$ are continuous and positive functions in ${\mathbb{R}}^+$. Using variational methods, we prove existence of infinitely many high-energy solutions for the above system.

  • In this paper, we define a multifunction $F:X{\rightarrow}Y$ to be upper (lower) Z -supercontinuous if $F^{+}(V)(F^{-}(V))$ is z-open in X for every open set V of Y. We obtain some characterizations and several properties concerning upper (lower) Z-supercontinuous multifunctions.

Ethanol Fermentation of Fusant between Heterologous Transformant of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Candida tropicalis in Pilot Scale (Pilot Scale에서의 Fusant의 Ethanol 발효)

  • As the final experiment to assess the possibility of industrial application of FSC14-75, ethanol productivity from liquefied sweet potato starch was examined in a pilot scale of 300 liters. FSC14-75 produced 6.6%(v/v) of ethanol from 13.3% of liquefied sweet potato starch in 8 days, and the residual sugar was 3.15%. The corresponding efficiency was 70% of the theoretical maximum. Since we could isolate unicellular cell and flocculent cell from the fermentation broth, we designated them FSC14-75(S) and FSC14-75(F), respectively. We investigated ethanol productivity of FSC14-75(F) compared with that of FSC14-75(S) from liquefied potato starch in a mini·tar tormentor scale of 2.5 liters. FSC14-75(F) was found more favorable than the counterpart in terms of ethanol productivity, and produced 8.1%(v/v) of ethanol from 15% of liquefied potato starch with an efficiency of 75%. In a pilot scale fermentation with 15% of liquefied sweet potato starch, ethanol productivity of FSC14-75(F) reached maximum level of 7.7%(v/v) after 8 days, and the residual sugar was 1.9%. However, the ethanol productivity was not enhanced by a supplementary addition of Thermamyl to the fermentation broth after sterilization.

OPTIMAL RADIOCOLORING OF TREES

  • A Radiocoloring (RC) of a graph G is a function f from the vertex set V (G) to the set of all non-negative integers (labels) such that |f(u) - f(v)| ≥ 2 if d(u, v) = 1 and |f(u) - f(v)| ≥ 1 if d(u, v) = 2. The number of discrete labels and the range of labels used are called order and span, respectively. In this paper, we concentrate on the minimum order span Radiocoloring Problem (RCP) of trees. The optimization version of the minimum order span RCP that tries to find, from all minimum order assignments, one that uses the minimum span. We provide attainable lower and upper bounds for trees. Moreover, a complete characterization of caterpillars (as a subclass of trees) with the minimum order span is given.

Interferon Apha 2b for Treating Patients with JAK2V617F Positive Polycythemia Vera and Essential Thrombocytosis

  • Objective: To investigate interferon (IFN) alpha 2 b for treating patients with JAK2V617F positive polycythemia vera (PV) and essential thrombocytosis (ET). Methods: Interferon alpha 2 b was used to treat patients with JAK2V617F positive PV and ET. In control group, hydroxyurea was used. Endpoint of study was to compare rates of hematological and molecular remission. Results: Patients in the interferon alpha 2 b group achieved higher rates of hematologic and molecular remission than patients in the hydroxyurea group, with a lower incidence of thrombosis. Conclusion: Compared with hydroxyurea, interferon alpha 2 b could reduce JAK2V617F load for patients with PV and ET, and achieve higher molecular remission, improve treatment efficacy and reduce complications.

  • This paper proposes a control mode switching scheme between vector control and constant V/f control for induction machine (IM) drives for maximum torque utilization in a higher speed region. For the constant V/f scheme, a smooth transition method from the linear range of PWM up to the six-step mode is applied, by which the machine flux and torque can be kept constant in a high-speed range. Also, a careful consideration of the initial phase angle of the voltage in the transient state of the control mode change between the vector control and V/f schemes is described. The validity of the proposed strategy is verified by the experiment result for a 3-kW induction motor drives.

  • A power cordial labeling of a graph G = (V (G), E(G)) is a bijection f : V (G) → {1, 2, ..., |V (G)|} such that an edge e = uv is assigned the label 1 if f(u) = (f(v))n or f(v) = (f(u))n, For some n ∈ ℕ ∪ {0} and the label 0 otherwise, then the number of edges labeled with 0 and the number of edges labeled with 1 differ by at most 1. In this paper, we investigate power cordial labeling for helm graph, flower graph, gear graph, fan graph and jewel graph as well as larger graphs obtained from star and bistar using graph operations.

  • Electrical and optical characteristics of ZnS:Mn/ZnS:Tb multilayer TFEL devices were investigated for multi-color electroluminescent display applications. Emission spectra of M $n^{2+}$ and T $b^{3+}$ ions were observed from ZnS:Mn/ZnS:Tb multi-layer TFEL devices, and were very broad from 540 nm to 640 nm. Saturation luminance measured at 155 V was 1025 Cd/$m^2$. C-V, $Q_{t}$ - $V_{p}$ curves showed that the phosphor capacitance ( $C_{p}$ ) and the insulator capacitance ( $C_{i}$ ) were 13.5nF/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and 60 nF/$\textrm{cm}^2$, respectively. Threshold voltage( $V_{thl}$) was shown to decrease from 126 V to 93 V due to the increase of the applied voltage from 155 V to 185 V, which was attributed to the increase of the polarization charge. The equation for the calculation of the threshold voltage as a function of the applied voltage was proposed for the first time. The calculated threshold voltage agreed well with the data obtained from the measurement.t.t.t.

  • The concept of pseudoLindelof spaces is introduced. It is shown that the followings are equivalent: (a) for any two disjoint zero-sets in X, at least one of them is Lindelof, (b) $\mid$vX{\;}-{\;}X$\mid${\leq}{\;}1$, and (c) for any space T with $X{\;}{\subseteq}{\;}T$, there is an embedding $f{\;}:{\;}vX{\;}{\rightarrow}{\;}vT$ such that f(x) = x for all $x{\;}{\in}{\;}X$ and that if $X{\;}{\times}{\;}Y$ is a z-embedded pseudoLindelof subspace of $vX{\;}{\times}{\;}vY,{\;}then{\;}v(X{\;}{\times}{\;}Y){\;}={\;}vX{\;}{\times}{\;}vY$.
