  • The purpose of this study is to develop the model including multiple causal relationship between factors to evaluate overall user satisfaction and develop an objective method to quantify the impacts and scores of each qualitative factors on overall user satisfaction using Structural Equation Model(SEM) and also test the feasibility to construct a comprehensive website evaluation model including qualitative and quantitative factors. The SEM model used 2 qualitative factors of usability and esthetic factors for the evaluation factors of user satisfaction and select 4 attributes of each factors using factor analysis. 3 shopping mall sites were evaluated to construct the SEM model, and 155 subjects participated the website evaluation using the walk-through and face-to-face survey method. Analysis results showed that the SEM model was statistically significant for all the 3 websites evaluated. Both the usability and esthetic factors showed significant effects to user satisfaction of websites and have positive correlation. The user satisfaction was more effected by the usability factor than esthetic factors, and the simplification and harmonization were the most critical attributes of the usability and esthetic factors.

  • Information technology and the Internet have had a dramatic effect on education method and individual life. Universities and companies we making large investments in e-Learning applications but are hard to pressed to evaluate the success of their e-Learning systems. e-Learning can be seen as not only one of Internet based information systems which can provide education services but also one of teaching-teaming methods which can implement self-directed teaming. This paper tests the updated model of information system success proposed by Delone and McLean using a field study of a e-Learning. The five dimensions - information quality, system quality, service quality, user satisfaction, net benefit - of the updated model are parsimonious framework for organizing the e-learning success metrics identified in the literature. Questionaires are collected from 107 students who are enrolling a e-learning class using online survey. The model is tested using SPSS and LISREL. The results show that information quality and service quality are significant predictors of user satisfaction with the e-Learning system but system quality is not. Also user satisfaction is found to be a strong predictor of the learning performance. This strong association between user satisfaction and teaming performance suggests that user satisfaction may serve as a valid surrogate for teaming performance. Empirical testing of the updated DeLone & McLean model should therefore be extended to cover a wider variety of systems.

  • This study explores the effects of VR (Virtual Reality) store vividness, which is one of VR shopping environmental features used in previous research, on user satisfaction. In addition, the mediating role of immersion between VR store vividness and user satisfaction is investigated. The moderating role of self-efficacy is also explored since the effects of vividness and immersion on user satisfaction may depend on a consumer's perceived shopping self-efficacy. A total of 58 participants experienced a VR store with the Oculus Go VR headset. To test the hypotheses, model 14 of Process Macro 3.4 is used (95% Confidence Interval). According to the results, immersion mediated between VR store vividness and user satisfaction. Additionally, there was a significant interaction effect between immersion and self-efficacy on user satisfaction. When a consumer experiences high immersion at a VR store, consumers may have a strongly positive experience, especially among those who have a perceived low shopping self-efficacy.

  • The purposes of this study were 1) to analyze the effect of the ERP quality (system quality, information quality, service quality) on the performance (end user satisfaction, user's performance, system utilization) of business, 2) to conduct the causal-effect analysis between outcome variables (user's satisfaction, user's performance, system utilization) of ERP in the contract foodservice management company. The questionnaires were distributed to 260 end users (dietitians, foodservice management managers) in charge of managing the institutional foodservice such as the office (government agencies, factories), schools (universities, middle and high school) and hospitals which were managed by contract foodservice management company 'C' in Seoul and Kyunggi. The surveys were performed from July 26, 2004 to July 30. 2004. Two hundred and fifty (250) questionnaires were responded (response rate: 96.2%). The statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS Win (11.5). And the descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability test, pearson correlation, simple and multiple regression analysis were performed. The results showed that among the 3 factors (system quality, information quality, service quality), the system quality and information quality were proved to have an effect on the user's satisfaction and user's performance significantly (p < .05). The influence of ERP quality (system quality, information quality, service quality) on system utilization were testified to be statistically significant (p < .05). The user's performance were affected significantly by system utilization (p < 0.001) and end user's satisfaction (p < 0.001). As a conclusion, to improve user satisfaction, which is the ultimate performance variable of an ERP system, high quality of an ERP system is the pre-requisite. And the user satisfaction and performance of business would be higher with the better quality ERP system. When constructing ERP system for the contract foodservice management company, we should improve system utilization and user satisfaction altogether so that user's performance could be ultimately enhanced and we should make efforts to enhance the quality level of ERP.
