  • At present, the necessity of new design guidelines, evaluation and operation system for school facilities are on the rise according to re-edition of school curriculum in Korea. Moreover, it is necessary to procedure of the design, an institutional device and an ex post facto evaluation system for school facilities as a public building with the space planning that is suitable for various situations, which are able to collect users' various demands and opinions. Under the present situation, England has introduced and operated DQI system for the users' participation design of its. The present study will derive the meaning DQI system of England and how to operate it, and percuss the possibility of the application of design procedure of the education facilities in Korea.

  • In this study, we examined voice shopping interaction in which consumers can be involved in the decision-making process. Sixteen kinds of voice shopping interaction were designed with differences in the existence of screen/product involvement/conversation style. Their effects on trust, cognitive load, satisfaction, and continuous intention to use were evaluated through a survey experiment. The main effect of conversation style was significant, and it was found that the more deeply involved users have higher trust. The interaction effect between conversation style and product involvement was also significant. Low involvement product buyers had the most positive user experience from the conversation style that included 'Ask for preference,' while high involvement product buyers had the most positive user experience from the conversation style that included both 'Ask for preference' and 'Question and Answer.' The main effect and interaction effect of the existence of screen was not significant. The results indicate that a positive user experience can be obtained when users are deeply involved in consumer decision-making, especially in purchasing high-involvement products.

  • Until recently, ind ustrial designers designed the product packaging of Eletronic Media, and userInterface designers focused primarily on software design, But as computer related technology continues to evolve, this distinction has become ambiguous, As a natural consequence of these trends, industrial designers are getting more involved in user-interface design to develop interactive objects, Moreover, In the future, the whole Information of a product whIch means product packaging, marketing, training matenals, support as weIl as hardware and software will be regarded as a product, and user's entIre expenences including the material elements of product will be taken for the factors of user interface to expand the category of user interface design. The importance of interface design and its applications within industrial design has been stressed in the recent years, However researches on practical process in interface design developments have been rarely established. This paper aims to develop the interaction design process for the useful user-interface design by theoretical study and actual analysis of user-interface design.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine a user-centered and interactivity-based user-participatory design that could be completed by users by helping them to better understand a diverse experience and be involved in a design process. The aspects of expression that were marked by direct user participation and subsequent interactivity in the areas of design, the arts and fashion were investigated to determine their characteristics. The kind of fashion that is characterized by interactivity is of significance in that it is variable according to the purpose of the users, it's possible to have sustained communication with them through their direct participation, and that the designer is consequently able to build a new, communicative relationship with the users as co-creators. This study found that the characteristics of interactivity through direct user participation are classified into four characteristics; One is playfulness. which offers a new experience and way to create fun and vale. Another is variability, which is changeability of form; the third is the convergence of technology and function. Lastly, the fourth is virtuality. This is to embody images in virtual space.

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to deduct the factors for explaining the economic behavior of an Internet user who provides personal information notwithstanding the concern about an invasion of privacy based on the Information Privacy Calculus Theory and Communication Privacy Management Theory. Design/methodology/approach This study made a design of the research model by integrating the factors deducted from the computation theory of information privacy with the factors deducted from the management theory of communication privacy on the basis of the Dual-Process Theory. Findings According to the empirical analysis result, this study confirmed that the Privacy Concern about forms through the Perceived Privacy Risk derived from the Disposition to value Privacy. In addition, this study confirmed that the behavior of an Internet user involved in personal information offering occurs due to the Perceived Benefits contradicting the Privacy Concern.

  • The realistic Visual Effects using fluid simulation in 3D computer graphics are operated as important factors to improve the quality of images. The process of creating realistic motions of water, fire, explosion by controlling each property of fluid is called fluid simulation. In general, the creation of a fluid simulation concentrates on the main simulation work phase, however an effective method for initial set up is important for the main simulation work. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors involved in the initial emission motion and shape of fluid and propose methods that can efficiently apply this into the initial set up. For the process of the research, first, problems are raised based on related researches, and second, two experiments, 'Dynamic Fluid Emitter Creation' and 'User Design Type Emission Velocity Solution', are conducted for more effective fluid simulation. Through this research, the effective fluid simulation of initial set up phase will be suggested through the user design-type emission control solutions.

  • Interactive space became one of the modern contemporary society design paradigms. For elevating the interactive effect, we need Interactive design development which uses the influential factors on the interactivity. Digital technology is resulted in a change to a society as well as to the life of human and its way of communication. This study is inquiry into the relations and the common characteristics between ecological architecture space and eco-centric environmental philosophy by making a comparative research. This aims to examine type of spatial contexts for performed through literature research for theory by interactive space and case studies for ecological construction elements to design. And the range of case study is limited to interaction space in addition of interactive elements and user interface. And analysis conclusion is show the many type. Five principles that draw at ecological design conceptualization process, whole unity, variety of organic at ecological design conceptualization process, circularity, homeostasis, allness, biological evolution, diversity have involved with concept that presents in ecological esthetics and organic property of ecology-system.

  • Smart City is a future-oriented city that provides users with desired services through various devices anytime and anywhere using Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). In order to provide the smart city service desired by the user, the user-oriented design concept should be based on above all. The design and development process must be based on the opinions and needs of everyone involved and needs to ideally reflect all user information and feedback, including users, designers and stakeholders at all levels. Participatory design approaches can be seen as an attempt to better understand and engage real users, and they are essential and important to create more appropriate and user-friendly smart-city services. This study has recognized the importance of developing a smart city service from the viewpoint of user - centered design and examined the methodology of design thinking and service design process for smart city service development. User - centered design concept model for smart city service design was designed, and serviceability case developed based on concept model was verified.
