  • 본 연구는 지능형 개인비서 서비스의 사용 경험을 HCI의 평가 기준을 바탕으로 비교·분석하여 사용 경험의 긍정적인 요소와 개선되어야 할 요소를 탐색하고자 한다. 현 시장에서 점유율이 가장 높은 지능형 개인비서 서비스인 애플의 시리, 구글의 구글어시스턴트, 삼성의 빅스비를 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 연구 방법은 1차로 문헌 연구를 통하여 현 서비스의 개념과 특징에 대해 비교·분석하였고 2차로 약 2주간 UI/UX 디자인 전문가 7명을 대상으로 맥락질문법을 활용하여 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 인터뷰는 피터 모빌(Peter Morville)의 사용자 경험 허니콤(user experience honeycomb) 7가지 사용성 원칙을 5가지로 재구성하여 유용성, 편의성, 시각적 매력성, 신뢰성, 만족도에 대한 질문을 진행하였다. 이후 재구성한 사용성 원칙 내용을 바탕으로 평가 rating 및 시스템 사용성 척도 (SUS) 를 바탕으로 평가를 실시하였다. 본 연구는 인공지능 개인비서 서비스의 사용경험을 정량적, 정성적으로 분석했다는데 의의가 있다.

소셜 지능로봇의 특성이 만족과 사용의도에 미치는 영향: 1인 가구 소셜 지능로봇 사용자를 중심으로 (The Effect of Characteristics of Social Intelligence Robots on Satisfaction and Intention to Use: Focused on User of Single Person Households)

  • Purpose: This study focused on the societal changes associated with the entry into an ultra-aged society and the increase in single-person households. The core objective of this research is to investigate how social intelligent robots can bring about positive changes in the lives of individuals in single-person households and how such changes influence user satisfaction and the intention to use these robots. Methods: The study employed a cross-sectional analysis using a structural equation model. A survey designed to assess the impact of social intelligent robots' characteristics, such as perceived encouragement, empathy, presence, appearance, and attachment, on user satisfaction and usage intentions was conducted. Data were collected from a total of 335 users and analyzed using the structural equation model. Results: In the characteristics of social intelligent robots for single-person households, it was found that empathy, presence, and attachment significantly influenced satisfaction, while perceived encouragement, empathy, and attachment significantly influenced usage intentions. The research results indicate differences between enhancing user satisfaction and increasing the intention to use social intelligent robots. The findings suggest the essential need for a user-centric approach in the design and development of social intelligent robots. Additionally, it was observed that emotional support plays a crucial role in users' experiences with social intelligent robots. Conclusion: This study verified the impact of social intelligent robots on satisfaction and usage intentions based on users' experiences. It examined the influence of linguistic, visual, and personal characteristics of robots on user experiences, providing insights into how technological and human aspects of social intelligent robots interact to shape user satisfaction and usage intentions. Consequently, the study confirmed that social intelligent robots can bring positive changes to human life, emphasizing the necessity for the advancement of robot technology in a human-centric direction.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of the database which is used in Personal Life Log Media system. The database contains information about media that capture personal experiences and enables the user to retrieve the media in a user friendly ways. The implementation of the database design is done by managing video data, which captures user's personal experiences, with its spatial and temporal information. The database enables the user to retrieve the video by mentioning where and/or when the video has been taken.

Multimodal Interaction on Automultiscopic Content with Mobile Surface Haptics

  • In this work, we present interactive automultiscopic content with mobile surface haptics for multimodal interaction. Our system consists of a 40-view automultiscopic display and a tablet supporting surface haptics in an immersive room. Animated graphics are projected onto the walls of the room. The 40-view automultiscopic display is placed at the center of the front wall. The haptic tablet is installed at the mobile station to enable the user to interact with the tablet. The 40-view real-time rendering and multiplexing technology is applied by establishing virtual cameras in the convergence layout. Surface haptics rendering is synchronized with three-dimensional (3D) objects on the display for real-time haptic interaction. We conduct an experiment to evaluate user experiences of the proposed system. The results demonstrate that the system's multimodal interaction provides positive user experiences of immersion, control, user interface intuitiveness, and 3D effects.

  • 모바일 디바이스는 한정된 디스플레이 공간과 인터렉션의 제한적인 요소를 가지고 있다. 모바일 디바이스의 중요한 이슈 중 하나는 이러한 상황에서 어떻게 제조사의 Identity를 표현할 수 있느냐 하는 것이다. 그것은 사용자에게 일관성이라는 측면에서 매력적이기 때문이다. 그러므로 우리는 GUI, IA, AUI 요소에 해당하는 사용자 경험요소들로부터 추출하고 통합하는 작업들을 진행하였다. 이 연구는 각 부서의 실무담당자들이 모여 전사 TF로 진행되었다. 이 연구에서는 대상제품의 다양한 특성을 반영하면서 일관성을 유지하기 위해 여러 방법들과 프로세스들을 거치면서 시도되었다. 이러한 적용 가능한 결과들은 진행되는 본문에서와 같은 논의과정을 거쳐 얻어진 젓이다.

한국 장기체류 중국인 관광앱 사용경험: 샤오홍슈(Xiaohongshu) 앱 사례 (Tourism Experience Sharing of Long-term Living Chinese in South Korea: Case of Xiaohongshu App (RED))

  • 본 연구는 샤오홍슈 앱(RED app)을 이용하여 한국에 장기간 체류하는 중국인을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 중국인의 한국 관광행위를 조사하고 분석하였다. 기억할만한 관광경험(MTEs: Memorable Tourism Experiences) 모델을 기반으로 몇 가지 변수를 추가하여 한국에서 장기간 체유하는 중국인의 여행 행동을 분석합니다. 최근 사용자 수가 많은 모바일 앱: 샤우홍슈(RED)의 이용자를 대상으로 조사했다. 212개의 유효한 표본분석을 통해 몇 가지 결론을 도출하였다. (1) 경치, 오락 및 정보성이 사람들의 여행 경험 공유에게 긍정적 영향을 주지만 상호작용 요인이 그렇지 않다는 결론을 발견하였다. (2) 여행 경험을 공유하는 행위는 여행 만족도와 다른 목적지에 방문하는 의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 여행 만족도는 한국에 있는 다른 목적지에 방문하는 의도에 긍정적인 영향을 파악했다. 이 연구는 기억할만한 관광경험과 사용자 생성 콘텐츠(UGC: User-Generated Content) 모델을 결합하여 관광에 대한 문헌을 확장하여 외국인의 한국 관광행위에 관련하는 연구를 파악할 수 있다.

  • This comprehensive study delves into the analysis of user review data across various metaverse platforms, employing advanced text mining techniques such as TF-IDF and Word2Vec to gain insights into user perceptions. The primary objective is to uncover the factors that contribute to user satisfaction and dissatisfaction, thereby providing a nuanced understanding of user experiences in the metaverse. Through TF-IDF analysis, the research identifies key words and phrases frequently mentioned in user reviews, highlighting aspects that resonate positively with users, such as the ability to engage in creative activities and social interactions within these virtual environments. Word2Vec analysis further enriches this understanding by revealing the contextual relationships between words, offering a deeper insight into user sentiments and the specific features that enhance their engagement with the platforms. A significant finding of this study is the identification of common grievances among users, particularly related to the processes of refunds and login, which point to broader issues within payment systems and user interface designs across platforms. These insights are critical for developers and operators of metaverse platforms, suggesting a focused approach towards enhancing user experiences by amplifying positive aspects. The research underscores the importance of continuous improvement in user interface design and the transparency of payment systems to foster a loyal user base. By providing a comprehensive analysis of user reviews, this study offers valuable guidance for the strategic development and optimization of metaverse platforms, ensuring they remain responsive to user needs and continue to evolve as vibrant, engaging virtual environments.

E-customized Product: User-centered Co-design Experiences

  • The purpose of this study is to orient users' touchpoints in co-design experience, to identify their need via visualized experience map, to recommend valid design information in online e-customization services. A user-centered co-design experience map (UCEM) is adopted to analyze the relation between users' desire and time spent, so as to evaluate the online co-design experiences. Based on evolutionary algorithm and fuzzy theory, data of this study is collected from 30 participants. The data was analyzed by descriptive analysis in SPSS, and frequency query and word cloud in NVivo. Employing design category and evaluating users' time spent, the findings are that (a) vamp color matching is consistent with interview data; (b) supported by qualitative feedback, the virtual experience map played an important role in the co-design process and the visualized interaction process; and (c) participants prefer to get more information and professional help on color matching and exterior design. Based on the findings in design category, future work should be focused on developing a better understanding of design resource recommendations and multi-stakeholder communication.

회전기계의 이상진동진단을 위한 사례기반 추론 시스템의 개발 (Development of Case-based Reasoning System for Abnormal Vibration Diagnosis of Rotating Machinery)

  • The necessity of diagnosis of the rotating machinery which is widely used in the industry is increasing. If rotating machinery has fault, we can detect fault using vibration or noise. But, in diagnosing rotating machinery, the end user who doesn't have expert knowledge needs the help of vibration diagnosis expert. However, vibration diagnosis experts who well satisfy the demand of end user are rare. So, this paper propose a development of the case-based reasoning system for abnormal vibration diagnosis of rotating machinery we construct the past experiences of vibration diagnosis expert into case base and shear the experiences of diagnosis expert with the end user. In this paper, we describe that process of structured system and adapting result of abnormal vibration diagnosis of electric motor.
