  • 최근 무선 인터넷 서비스에 대한 관심이 고조되면서 관련 기술 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 현재 가장 유력한 국제표준 중 하나로 인식되어 가고 있는 WAP(Wireless Application Protocol)의 규격에 따르면 이동 단말과 WAP 서버는 WAP Gateway를 통하여 통신하도록 되어 있다. 본 논문은 리눅스 기반으로 WAP Gateway와 Server가 통합적으로 지원되는 IWAP 플랫폼의 설계 및 구현에 것이다. 제안된 IWAP 플랫폼은 WAP Gateway JABA 기반의 Server 개발환경, WML Tool-Kit 및 MUI(Management User Interface)등 크게 4개의 모듈로 구성되고, 베어러(bearer) 망으로 SMSC(Short Message Service Center)나 CSD(Circuit Switched Data) 라우터를 고려하였다.

  • 각 지역마다 많은 시설 및 상점이 존재하고 사용자들은 특정 지역에 자신이 원하고 필요한 곳을 찾기 위해서는 직접 검색을 통해 찾는 일이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 기반 Google POI 애플리케이션을 구현하여 사용자가 원하는 특정 지역에 시설이나 상점을 검색하여 시각화하여 보여준다.

  • 스마트TV는 스마트폰과 달리 가족이 사용하는 디바이스로 인식되고 있다. 그러나 스마트TV도 SNS(Social Networking Service), 웹 서비스 등 가족인 아닌 개인 단위로 사용하는 앱(application)뿐만 아니라 각 개인마다 선호하는 게임을 포함한 앱(application), VOD 리스트, TV 채널 등이 다르다고 볼 수 있다. 그리하여 스마트TV에서도 개인 맞춤형 사용자 인터페이스가 필요하다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 스마트TV 환경에서 기존 윈도우 로그인 시스템처럼 개인만의 맞춤형 사용자 인터페이스를 제시한다. 그리하여 각각의 사용자들은 개인만의 환경에서 앱(application)을 실행하거나 TV를 볼 수 있다. 기존 연구되고 있는 채널 네비게이션 기법을 토대로 VOD list, 게임을 포함한 앱(App)을 개인 맞춤형 인터페이스로 보다 편리하게 사용할 수 있는 방법도 제시한다. 채널 네비게이션은 로그인한 각 자신만의 환경에서 사용자가 과거에 시청한 TV 채널을 조사하여 많이 시청한 TV 채널을 보여 주게 한다. 그리하여 보다 자신이 선호하는 채널을 쉽게 시청할 수 있다. 이와 더불어 VOD 리스트와 게임을 포함한 앱(application)을 과거에 시청하거나 사용했던 패턴을 분석하고 선호하는 VOD 리스트와 앱(application)을 예측하여 보여주어 개인의 맞춤형 인터페이스에서 보다 빠르게 접근이 가능하며 편리하게 사용할 수 있다.

The development of a lifestyle modification mobile application, "Health for You" for overweight and obese breast cancer survivors in Korea

  • Purpose: This study aimed to develop a lifestyle modification (LSM) mobile application based on the Android operating system for overweight and obese breast cancer survivors (BCS) in Korea and evaluate its usability. Methods: The content analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of the LSM intervention mobile application for overweight and obese BCS was conducted by identifying survivors' needs, searching the literature, and reviewing existing mobile applications. The survey was conducted from June 1 to December 28, 2020 at Jeonju, Korea. Results: The mobile application for BCS included dietary and exercise information, weight logs, as well as distress and daily achievement check. It also included information and videos on the prevention of breast cancer recurrence and used a communication bulletin board. Expert and user usability evaluation of its content and functions confirmed that it was appropriate and satisfactory for overweight and obese BCS. Conclusion: This LSM mobile application developed for overweight and obese BCS was found to be appropriate for use. It can be applied for further study of effectiveness on improving their health and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, to ultimately improve quality of life.

  • 본 논문에서는 모바일 디바이스의 카메라로부터 얻은 RGB이미지를 분석하여 장애물을 안정적으로 탐지할 수 있는 프레임워크를 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 장애물을 안정적으로 찾기 위해 RANSAC(Random Sample Consensus)기반의 다중 평면 방식을 이용한 위험감지 시스템을 제안한다. 우리의 접근 방식은 RGB영상으로부터 특징점(Feature point)을 추출하고, 특징점을 분석(Feature point analysis)하여 영상내의 평면을 감지한다. 복잡한 지형으로 인해 생성되는 다수의 평면을 RANSAC을 통해 단일 평면으로 정규화하고, 이로부터 특징점을 분류하기 위한 기준점을 계산한다. 모바일 디바이스의 위치와 회전 제약 없이 효과적으로 기준평면(Reference plane)을 탐색할 수 있고, 영상 내 특징점을 실시간으로 계산한다. 다양한 실험을 통해 기준평면과 장애물과의 거리를 파악하여 장애물을 효과적으로 분류하는 결과를 얻었다. 우리의 기법은 실세계에서의 위험요소를 감지하고 모바일 디바이스 사용자의 안전성 확보에 활용할 수 있을 거라 기대한다.

A Mobile Application for Navigating the Optimal Escape Route in Accidents and Emergency Situations (모바일 어플리케이션을 이용한 재난상황 발생 시 최적 대피경로 설정)

  • In early 2011, the Fukushima nuclear power plant had greater damage due to earthquake in Japan, and the awareness of safety has increased. In particular, special response systems should be required to handle disaster situations in plant sites which are likely to occur for large disasters. In this study, a program is designed to set up optimum escape routes, by a smart phone application, when a disaster situation occurs. This program could get information of the cumulative damage from sensors and display the escape route of the smallest damage in real-time on the screen. Utilizing our application in real-time evacuation has advantage in reducing cumulative damage. The optimal evacuation route, focusing on horizontal path, is calculated based on getting the data of fire, detected radioactivity and hazardous gas. Thus, using our application provides information of optimal evacuation to people who even can not hear sensor alarms or do not know geography, without requiring additional costs except fixed sensors or server network deployment cost. As a result, being informed of real-time escape route, the user could behave rapidly with suitable response to individual situation resulting in improved evacuation than simply reacting to existing warning alarms.

Guidance system about closure using push notification of smart device (스마트 기기의 푸시 알림을 이용한 휴무 안내 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose an guidance system about closure using push notification of smart device. Restaurant operators can use the proposed application to schedule and modify the restaurant closures for a week from push notification and users can check the restaurant information and whether it is closed or not through the proposed application. The proposed method uses a server system to provide closed information, and the proposed application performs push notifications to the restaurant operator every morning to confirm the day's closed again. To verify the utility of the proposed system, we built a closure management application, user application, and server system to conduct experiments for restaurant closures guidance, resulting in 96% about checking opening hours. And we confirmed that the proposed method is better than the existing information service in comparison experiments. Thus, the proposed method will be a useful service system that could easily share closure information with restaurant operators and users.

  • The Proximity Service, which is one of the most popular network capacity improvement methods, uses the frequency reuse in order to increase the frequency efficiency. As a result, inter-cell interference between cellular and proximity service users occurs at a cell edge. In this paper, we proposed a mitigation scheme for inter-cell interference, where we suggested a new function of and eNB with ProSe function exchanging information about ProSe parameters and ProSe user equipment with neighboring cells via the X2 interface. As the first step, the resource which did not cause the inter-cell interference problem were pre-allocated through the frequency sensing in the ProSe direct discovery. As the next step, the inter-cell interference problem was solved by reallocating appropriate resources based on the ProSe application code, the ProSe application QoS, the ProSe application ID and validity timer in ProSe direct communication.

A Proposal of the Olfactory Information Presentation Method and Its Application for Scent Generator Using Web Service

  • Among the human senses, olfactory information still does not have a proper data presentation method unlike that regarding vision and auditory information. It makes presenting the sense of smell into multimedia information impossible, which may be an exploratory field in human computer interaction. In this paper, we propose an olfactory information presentation method, which is a way to use smell as multimedia information, and show an application for scent generation and odor display using a web service. The olfactory information can present smell characteristics such as intensity, persistence, hedonic tone, and odor description. The structure of data format based on olfactory information can also be organized according to data types such as integer, float, char, string, and bitmap. Furthermore, it can be used for data transmitting via a web service and for odor display using a scent generator. The scent generator, which can display information of smell, is developed to generate 6 odors using 6 aroma solutions and a diluted solution with 14 micro-valves and a micropump. Throughout the experiment, we confirm that the remote user can grasp information of smell transmitted by messenger service and request odor display to the computer controlled scent generator. It contributes to enlarge existing virtual reality and to be proposed as a standard reference method regarding olfactory information presentation for future multimedia technology.
