Development of OIS actuator for Mobile Phone Camera (휴대폰 카메라를 위한 OIS 엑추에이터 개발)

  • In this study, to compensate trembling of camera caused by vibration of user's hand, 2-axis voice coil actuator of optical image stabilizer (OIS) is suggested. In consideration of actuating performance, volume of OIS and application of hall sensor, one of concept models is selected and it is optimized to maximize the actuating performance. Two types of mechanisms that have the feasibility of moving in 2-axis and the capability of including the optimized EM circuit are proposed. Finally both types are fabricated and then actuating performance of OIS actuator and behavior of hall sensor are verified through the experiment.

  • PCA(Principle Component Analysis) has emerged as a useful tool for process monitoring and fault diagnosis. The general approach requires the user to identify the root cause by interpreting the residual or principle components. This could be tedious and often impossible for a large process. In this paper, PCA scheme is combined with the FCM-based fault diagnostic algorithm to enhance the diagnosistic results. The implementation of the PCA-FCM based fault diagnostic system is done and its application is illustrated on the two-tank system.

  • The rapid increase in the penetration rate and diverse utility of smart devices opens an opportunity for a development in creating a user-oriented ubiquitous system. And it allows audiences to deploy the exhibition-helping contents regardless of the restriction of place and time with using the smart devices of audience themselves. Also it needs to build a mobile web-based portal system for the related services. To do this, Firstly, it needs the corresponding strategies on a smartphone-based environment such as technical competence, systematic preparation of exhibition with compatible mobile contents, and a compatible channel for interactivity. Secondly, it needs the differentiation of exhibition guide with the existing system: an adoption of augmented reality, panoramic technology and simulation effect aiming for an improvement in a sense of immersion and reality for audience, and building up additional contents with a diversity of formats of image, sound, and video for customer satisfaction.

  • As a result of growth sensor-enabled mobile devices such as PDA, cellular phone and other computing devices, in recent years, users can utilize the diverse digital contents everywhere and anytime. However, the interfaces of mobile applications are often unnatural due to limited resources and miniaturized input/output. Especially, users may feel this problem in some applications such as the mobile game. Therefore, Novel interaction forms have been developed in order to complement the poor user interface of the mobile device and to increase the interest for the mobile game. In this paper, we describe the demonstration of the gesture and posture input supported by an accelerometer. The application example we created are AM-Fishing game on the mobile device that employs the accelerometer as the main interaction modality. The demos show the usability for the gesture and posture interaction.

  • A study for improvement of credibility on test & evaluation result of interoperability in battle management information system which focused in C4I systems is very essential in rapid change of battle field environment. Realization of effective operation process with integration of developed IT also core factor for reducing of operational response time such as information gathering from sensor to shooter, time for commander's decision making. Therefore, by required to meet of high technical T&E, meet of complex software's user requirement, long-term system development period, system integration ability's request by various linkage of systems, it is high a M&S dependency to optimal performance, interpoerability's guarantee. Especially credibility on test & evaluation using M&S is very important. This paper will propse a VV&A applied methods using other VV&A case to improve credibility of M&S on test & evaluation.

  • 도시민들의 다양한 여가활동의 요구로 날씨와 계절에 상관없이 즐길 수 있는 운동으로 실내 스포츠 수요가 급증 하고 있다. 이에 스포츠 클라이밍의 인기 또한 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 또한, ICT기술의 발전으로 스포츠 산업에서도 ICT융합이 활발히 진행 중이다. 이에 실내 스포츠 클라이밍은 ICT기술 융합이 용이한 환경으로 컴퓨팅 환경을 구성하기 적합하다. 따라서 ICT융합 스포츠 클라이밍에 대한 새로운 신조어 스크린 클라이밍이라는 말이 나오고 이에 대한 인터랙티브 인공 암벽이라는 연구가 진행 되었다. 하지만 스포츠 클라이밍에서 사용되는 모바일 애플리케이션의 연구는 현저히 부족한 상황이다. 현재 상용화되어 있는 클라이밍 애플리케이션은 일방적인 정보제공에 그쳐 정보의 확장 및 재생산이 어렵고, 자신의 기록 측정 및 정리 과정이 번거롭다는 한계가 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 인터랙티브 인공 암벽 활용을 위한 모바일 애플리케이션을 제안하고 구현한다. 즉, 사용자가 실제로 쉽고 편리하게 등반 루트와 등반 기술에 대한 정보를 제공받고 자신의 등반 기록을 관리할 수 있는 사용자 친화적 클라이밍 모바일 애플리케이션을 구현한다.

Securing RTP Packets Using Per-Packet Key Exchange for Real-Time Multimedia

  • For secure multimedia communications, existing encryption techniques use an online session key for the key exchange, for which key size is limited to less than 10 digits to accommodate the latency condition caused by user devices only being able to handle low computational loads. This condition results in poor security of recorded encrypted data. In this letter, we propose a packet key scheme that encrypts real-time packets using a different key per packet for multimedia applications. Therefore, a key of a relatively small size can provide after-transmission confidentiality to data of a real-time session.

  • In this paper we describe the design and implementation of Electrical Ground Support Equipment(EGSE) for the CBS transponder testing. The main task of EGSE is to check out satellite systems, at system or subsystem level, during integration and validation phases of their life-cycle. Through a combination of hardware and software elements, EGSE supports manual, semi-automatic and fully automated testing. Automation is achieved by offering users simple, yet powerful means to write their own test application programs (test sequences) in high-level, test-oriented language and to run them in a strict real-time environment. The core of this environment is a user-configurable real-time database, containing all the information needed to calibrate acquired data, check them against predefined thresholds, automatically react to out-of-range conditions, display data using animated graphics or synoptic windows, and so on.

Application Characteristic-based Divided Scheduling for Multicore Systems

  • In this paper, we proposed a novel user-level scheduling scheme that monitors applications characteristics on-line using PMU and allocates applications into cpu cores. We utilize PMU (Performance Monitoring Unit) to analyze which shared resource has the strongest relation with the influence. Using the proposed scheduling method, it is possible to reduce the contention of shared resources. The key idea of this scheme is separating high-influential applications into different processors. The evaluation results have shown that the proposed scheduling scheme can enhance the performance up to 12% for a 8 core system and up to 25% for a 28 core system, respectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 블루투스 4.0(BLE) 기반의 비콘을 이용하여, 공항에서 물건을 찾을 때, 물건(가방)에 비콘을 장착하고 비콘의 신호를 받아 알림(Notification)을 주는 System으로써, 사용자의 편리성을 위하여 안드로이드 4.3이상 버전의 스마트 폰 Application으로 개발하였다. 스마트 폰과 비콘 사이에는 블루투스를 기술을 이용하여 통신하며, 비콘은 신호를 송신, 스마트 폰에서는 수신한다. 이러한 기능으로 Estimote사의 공개된 Software Development Kit(이하 SDK)를 바탕으로 개발을 진행하였다. SDK의 대표적인 기능으로 비콘의 정보와 연결 상태를 관리하는 객체, 그리고 Listener를 통해 범위 내 비콘을 탐색하는 기능을 정의할 수 있다. 또한 User Interface를 고려하여 사용자의 편이성과 접근성에 중점을 두어, 화면 구성에 많은 노력을 기울였다. 따라서 사용자의 배경지식, 연령대를 고려하더라도 쉽게 이용이 가능하도록 개발하였다.
