일반대학생에 의한 자동제세동기 사용 능력 연구 (A Study on college students ability to use automated external defibrillator(AED))

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to compare the ability of college students to use automated external defibrillators (AED) and to provide a basic data for helping laypersons easily apply the AED. Methods: The subjects were randomly assigned to instruction groups. One group was instructed by pictures (group P), one by videos (group M), and one by telephone dispatchers (group D), Without employing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, a single rescuer was asked to apply defibrillation to a mannequin for practice in accordance with the instructions assigned to each group. Results: Regarding the proper pad attachment of the AED, group P followed the instruction $0.31{\pm}0.47times$, group M, $0.81{\pm}0.40times$, and group D $0.69{\pm}0.47times$. Regarding the instruction of taking the hand off a patient for analyzing cardiac rhythm and the instruction of taking the hand off a patient before defibrillation, group P did not follow the instruction; group M followed the instructions $0.50{\pm}0.51times$; and group D followed all instructions at all times. Conclusion: If a dispatcher gives real-time instructions for using an AED to laypersons wtih no experience at the time of AED use, the quality of laypersons' AED use will greatly improve.

과학관을 활용한 교수.학습에 대한 교사들의 인식과 교육 요구 (Perceptions and Educational Needs of Teachers for Instructions Using the Science Museum)

  • 이 연구에서는 서울지역의 초 중등교사 225명을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 과학관 학습 관련 교수 학습 경험, 과학관 학습의 이해 및 실행에 대한 자기인식, 과학관 학습의 효과, 교수전략 및 본성에 대한인식, 과학관 학습 관련 교육 요구, 과학수업에서 과학관 학습 실행 의향에 대해 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 교사들은 과학관 학습과 관련된 교육을 받은 경험이 거의 없었고 과학관을 활용한 교수 학습 경험도 많지 않았다. 또한, 많은 교사들이 과학관 학습의 이해 및 실행에 대한 자기 인식이 높지 않은 수준인 것으로 나타났다. 과학관 학습의 교육적 효과와 과학관 학습의 본성 및 교수전략에 대한 이해 수준이 비교적 높은 것으로 나타났으나, 형식적인 학교교육에서의 교수관을 과학관 학습에도 그대로 적용하려는 경향이 있었다. 과학관 학습 실행 의향과 교육 요구가 높았는데, 교사들은 과학관 학습에 직접 활용할 수 있는 실제적인 사항들에 대한 정보를 가장 필요로 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 대한 교육적 함의를 논의하였다.

What Do Learners Do While Planning? Learners' Use and Perceptions of Planning for an Oral Narrative Task

  • Previous research on the impact of pretask planning on subsequent second language (L2) production has mainly focused on the linguistic quality of planned production, while learners' thought processes and perceptions about planning have been relatively less explored. In addition, few previous planning studies have examined whether the learners did in fact follow the pretask instructions, thus leaving the role of pretask instructions in the planning process unexplored. Therefore, the present study investigated whether pretask instructions affect attentional allocation as well as what cognitive operations planners engage in and what their perceptions about planning are. Forty-three Korean EFL classroom learners were divided into two groups: before having time to plan for an oral story retelling task, one group received general instructions, while the other group received specific instructions. The findings, based on both quantitative and qualitative data analysis, indicated no large effects of pretask instructions on the planners' attentional focus. Rather, the qualitative analysis identified a number of other factors that influenced learners' decision making as well as their general processes and approaches to planning and their perceptions about planning and thinking aloud while planning. Implications for L2 teaching as well as limitations of the study are discussed.

  • 하나의 instruction으로 여러 메모리 블록을 읽거나 쓰는 MLS(Multiple Load/store) 명령어를 사용하면 전체 코드에서 메모리 명령어의 수를 최소화해서 코드 사이즈를 축소할 수 있다. 이러한 장점 때문에 많은 마이크로 프로세서에서 이 명령어를 지원하고 있으나 현재까지 개발되어 있는 컴파일러들은 MLS 명령어의 장점을 효과적으로 이용하고 있지 못하고 있고 오직 제한적인 용도로 MLS 명령어를 사용하고 있다. 기존의 컴파일러에서 MLS 명령어를 효율적으로 지원하지 못하는 것은 일반적으로 MLS 명령어를 효과적으로 이용하기 위해서 해결해야 할 문제가 NP-hard의 범주에 속하기 때문이다. 이것은 stack frame에서 변수들에 대한 최적의 메모리 옵셋을 찾는 문제와 레지스터 할당에 관련된 복합적인 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 heuristic 기법을 효율적으로 이용하여 위에 언급된 문제를 polynomial time bound에 해결할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다.

대구경북 치과위생사들의 치과재료에 대한 유해정보 소통 실태 (Hazard Communication of Dental Materials for Dental Hygienists in Daegu or Gyeongsangbuk-do Province Area)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to evaluate the status of hazard communication regarding dental materials among dental hygienists in the Daegu Metropolitan City and the North Gyeongsang-do Province area. Materials: A total of 310 dental hygienists were surveyed using self-administered questionnaires to investigate the status of hazard communication on dental materials and information needs. We collected instructions for use and material safety data sheets(MSDSs) for 67 dental materials frequently used at dental hospitals located in the Daegu Metropolitan City and the North Gyeongsang-do Province area. Results: The questionnaire surveys showed that only 11% of the 310 dental hygienists had knowledge of MSDS and 46.8% of respondents never read instructions for use before using materials. Just 7.4% of dental hygienists have undergone training on hazard information for dental materials. In particular, dental hygienists working at dental clinics had significantly lower response rates on knowledge of MSDS(p<0.001), reading of instructions for use(p=0.042) and training on the hazard information of dental materials(p=0.004) than those in dental hospitals or general hospitals. The essential information most desired by dental hygienists was hazard identification(82.3%) followed by first-aid measures(53.9%), handling and storage(51%), disposal considerations (49%) and toxicological information(47.1%). All dental materials were on foreign products which came from Japan(59.7%), the USA(26.9%) and Liechtenstein(13.7%). In terms of usage, 56.7% of dental materials were prosthetic, followed by conservation(31.3%), orthodontics(9%), and prevention(3%). We found that dental hygienists had accessed MSDSs for only five dental products among the 67 dental materials. The instructions for the use of the 67 dental materials provided hazard identification(64.2%), first-aid measures(83.6%), handling and storage(97%), disposal considerations(20.9%) and toxicological information(26.9%). Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, the hazard communication system for dental hygienists working at dental clinics should be improved.

RISC용 ALU와 시프터의 설계 (Design of an ALU and a Shifter for RISC)

  • This paper describes the design of an ALU and a shifter for RISC. The RISC datapath is designed to have a 4-stage pipeline and a 20 MHz operating frequency. The ALU makes use of the 32-bit BLC adder which has the characteristics of high speed ane regular structuer and executes the arithmetic instructions-addition and subtraction- and the logical instructions-AND, OR, and XOR. Additionally, multiplication is possible by iterative executions of step instructions to perform shift and add operations. The shifter is implemented by using the modified of funnel shifter. The shifter is able to perform the arithmetic andlogical shift instructions without maskiog. Moreover, it carries out data align operation which conforms to big endian byte address. The logical operation of the desinged ALU and the shifter were simulated using YSLOG and VLSIsim. SPICE simulation results using 1.2um double metal process parameters show that the ALU and shifter have a delay time of 15.9NS and 9.9NS, respectively. Therefore, the ALU and the shifter operates correctly above 20[ MHz ] click ferquency and are composed of about 7K and 15K teansistors, respectively.

파이프라인 RISC 프로세서에서 분기지연을 감소시키는 하드웨어 구조 (A Hardware Scheme to Reduce the Branch Penalty in Pipelined RISC Processors)

  • Conditional branch instructions are a major obstacle to the increasing of RISC processor performance, because they can break the smooth flow of instructions; the issuing of instructions after a branch instruction must often wait until the condition is resolved. This paper proposes a hardware scheme which has a duplicated fetching logic to reduce the penalty imposed by conditional branch instructions. The proposed shceme has a buffer to maintain states of processor, which supports the precise interrupt. We make use of two code segments to test the performance and their results were compared with those of the delayed branch. We got the result that the proposed scheme reduces the branch penalty extremely.

  • In this paper, we design the memory tester chip playing an important role in the memory tester as central parts. Memory tester has the sixteen inner instructions to control the test sequence and the address and data signals to DUT. These instructions are saved in memory with each block such as sequencer and pattern generator. Sequencer controls the test sequence according to instructions saved in the memory. And Pattern generator generates the address and data signals according to instructions saved in the memory, too. We can use these chips for various functional test of memory.

초등학교 과학 실험 수업 분석 (An Analysis of Laboratory Instructions in Elementary School Science)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze laboratory instructions used in elementary school science lessons by utilizing an analysis instrument for science laboratory instruction(AISLI). This analysis instrument was comprised of 3 elements; the aim of the laboratory activity, the interaction generated, and the inquiry process. There were also a total of 20 sub-categories and its validity was identified at 0.89 by four science educators. For the purposes of this study, 90 laboratory instructions were video-recorded, then transcribed. Laboratory instructions were analyzed by three analyst teams, and the inter-rater reliability within teams was checked through Pearson correlation, with a score of 0.91. The results of this study were as follows: the two principle aims of laboratory activity, namely, to acquire declarative knowledge and to increase attitudes toward science, were observed to be in evidence in 98.9% and 92.2% in laboratory instructions, and the levels of categories of the interaction and inquiry processes were situated at level-1. The implications of these results are that laboratory instructions currently in use do not place sufficient demands upon students' scientific thinking and are not at all conducive to student-centered activities. Therefore in order to remedy this situation, the usefulness of current science laboratory instructions need to be re-evaluated.
