설문지를 통한 고등학생들의 MP3 사용 실태 및 청력에 미치는 영향 (Survey on the Use of MP3 Players of High School Students and the Effect to Their Hearing Thresholds)

  • 본 논문에서는 청소년들의 MP3 사용 실태와 그에 따른 청력역치를 평가했다. 청소년들의 MP3 사용률은 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며 청력과 관련하여 위험요소가 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 광주 지역의 2개 고등학교에 재학 중인 남녀 538명을 대상으로 MP3의 사용 실태를 조사하고 청력 역치를 측정하여 사용 유형별로 상관성을 평가했다. 분석 결과, 하루중 1시간 이상 MP3 사용률이 61.1%였으며, 주당 4일 이상 사용하는 비율이 71.6%이고, 3년 이상 사용한 경우가 36.7%로 나타났다. 조사대상의 51%가 볼륨 크기를 60%이상으로 듣고 있으며 귀 통증을 인식하고 있었다. MP3를 장시간 사용하며 소리를 크게 듣는 청소년과 그렇지 않은 청소년들의 청력은 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다 (p< 0.0001).

감귤류를 첨가한 증편의 품질 특성 (The Quality Properties of Jeungpyun added with Citrus Fruits)

  • The results of adding citrus to Jeungpyun in order to diversify the kinds of Jeungpyun available as well as enhance the usage of citrus fruits, were assessed in this study. During fermentation pH was reduced carbon dioxide development was lowest in the citron product and then the tangerine, cumquat and control Jeungpyun, respectively. Volume and specific volume of Jeungpyun were highest id the cumquat Jeungpyun. For all the citrus additions, except for the cumquat there were no significant differences when compared to the control. The tangerine product showed the highest redness and yellowness among the types of citrus, fellowed by cumquat, citron, and lemon. In the textural property tests, hardness was highest in the lemon Jeungpyun. Then, less hardness occurred in the order of citron, control, tangerine and the cumquat Jeungpyun was the softest. In the sensory evaluation, preferred color was in the order of tangerine, cumquat citron, and lemon Jeungpyun. Ultimately, the tangerine Jeungpyun had the best color. In the taste test, preferred taste was in the order of cumquat, citron, tangerine, and lemon Jeungpyun, all resulting in better taste than the pure Jeungpyun. The softness of the Jeungpyun was good in the order of cumquat, tangerine, control, citron, and lemon Jeungpyun. Thus, the cumquat Jeungpyun was softest, while lemon Jeungpyun was hardest. Finally, overall acceptance was good in the order of cumquat, tangerine, citron, control, and lemon Jeungpyun.

우리나라 건강보험 청구자료를 이용한 알츠하이머성 치매 치료제의 사용현황 분석 (Study of the Drugs Prescribed on Alzheimer's Disease: from the Insurance Claims Data of Korea National Health Insurance Service)

  • Objective: The aims of this study are to investigate the total volume of prescribed medicines against Alzheimer's disease (AD) and the trends of usage by analyzing the claims-data from the Korea National Health Insurance Service. Method: The demographic and claims-data were included the major AD treating medicines such as donepezil, galantamine, rivastigmine and memantine, and analyzed during the period of 2010~2012. The assessing criteria were gender, age, habitation, types of medical institution, code of ingredients, outcomes of treatment, volume and amount of claims, and the numbers of patients with dementias. After trimming the data, it were analyzed by the market size, demographic traits, characteristics of medical service, characteristics of each anti-AD medicine, etc. Results: Among the chosen 4 medicines, donepezil had the top prescription volumes. Most prevalent prescribing preparations of donepezil were conventional types. However, among the non-conventional types, oro-dispersible formulation is the fast increasing one in both volume and growth rate. This specialized preparations to improve both toleration and adherence, tend to being prescribed generally at the tertiary medical institutions. While the younger patients with mild-to-moderate AD mostly treated by expensive medicines in resident at the tertiary hospitals, the rest older patients with severe AD have been treated non-expensive one at long-term care facilities. Conclusion: AD is a chronic illness therefore, long-term use of therapeutic medications are highly important. If an anti-AD treatment was applied steadily in the earlier stages, it would be achieved not only improving the quality of life of patient but also reducing the expenses in the medical and nursing cares. As the socioeconomical impacts of AD is expanding, healthcare professionals need to aware the importance of pharmacotherapy and to improve sociopolitical fundamentals.

Detecting Crime Hot Spots Using GAM and Local Moran's I

  • Scientific analysis of crime hot spots is essential in preventing and/or suppressing crime. However, results could be different depending on the analytic methods, which highlights the importance of choosing adequate tools. The purpose of this study was to introduce two advanced techniques for detecting crime hot spots, GAM and Local Moran's I, hoping for more police agencies to adopt better techniques.GAM controls for the number of population in study regions, but local Moran's I does not. That is, GAM detects high crime rate areas, whereas local Moran's I identifies high crime volume areas. For GAM, physical disorder was used as a proxy measure for population at risk based on the logic of the broken windows theory. Different regions were identified as hot spots. Although GAM is generally regarded as a more advanced method in that it controls for population, it's usage is limited to only point data. Local Moran's I is adequate for zonal data, but suffers from the unavoidable MAUP(Modifiable Areal Unit Problem).

강섬유 보강콘크리트의 재료적 성상에 관한 고찰 (Investigation of Material Properties of the Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete)

  • As composite materials, the addition of steel fiber in concrete significantly improves the engineering properties of structural members. The purpose of this study is to define the strengthening effect of steel fiber in a point of material usage. From tile material test. compression strength, tensile splitting strength and flexural strength were evaluated by steel fiber volume fraction ($V_f$) and aspect ratio (AR) of steel fiber. In case of AR 67, $V_f$ 2.0% could be achieved maximum steel fiber strengthening effect. And the AR 80 case, $V_f$ 1.0% could be achieved maximum effect than the effect of $V_f$ 1.5%.

봉독침의 봉독함량분석 (Expermental Studies of quantitative evaluation using HPLC)

  • Methods : This study was conducted to carry out quantitative evaluation using HPLC Content analysis was done using HPLC Results : According to HPLC analysis, each BVA-1 contained approximately $0.36{\mu}g$ melittin, and BVA-2 contained approximately $0.54{\mu}g$ melittin. But the volume of coating was so minute, slight difference exists between each needle. Conclusions : Above results indicate that the bee venom acupuncture can complement shortcomings of syringe usage as a part of Oriental medicine treatment, but extensive researches should be done for further verification.

오르막차선 설치기준 및 운영방안 평가 (Evaluation of Design Standards and Operation Practice of Climbing Lanes)

  • The objective of study is to evaluate design standards related to the allowable truck speeds, taper length and sign requirements together with the operating practices and economic justification for climbing lanes. Field surveys were carried out on seven climbing lanes, three on two-lane and four on four-lane freeways. Data collected are traffic volume, speed, usage rate and delay. It is found that current design criteria for determining the length of climbing lane, taper lengths, and traffic sign requirements must be upgraded. It is also recommended that regulations on the use of climbing lane be established to make it more effective. Further, economic analysis revealed that the climbing lane is economically justified for two-lane and four-lane freeway if the AADT is over 4,577 and 5,116 vehicles respectively.

평택항 발전을 위한 대중국 수출입화물의 기종점(O/D) 연구 (A Study on the Origin/Destination of Trading Cargoes with China for the Pyungtaek Port's Development)

  • The container throughput of China, after the joining in the WTO, has begun to increase notably. As a result, China is busy building new ports continuously. In accordance with China's situation Korea promote the development plans of ports and marketing strategy to attract the increasing cargo traffics with China, including transhipment cargoes. To build the competition strategy and the panning port for trading cargoes with China, an analysis on origin/destination is necessary. The cargo volume from/to the particular port(Korea/China) and origin/destination of traffic are important factors in the requirement for the port development. Therefore, in the era that trading with China is rapidly increasing, this study is performed to analyze the port's usage of transporting the cargos and the origin/destination of trading cargoes with china. Also this paper suggests to the competitive strategies of Pyungtaek Port to attract cargoes particularly from/to China.

XML 데이터 처리에서 시맨틱 (Semantics in XML Data Processing)

  • XML은 계층적이고 스스로 기술하는 구조를 가지는 데이터를 표현하기에 좋지만 XML 자체는 시맨틱을 가지고 있지 않다. 하지만 XML이 널리 새로운 응용에서 사용됨에 따라 XML 시맨틱이 필요하게 되었다. 이 논문은 XML 데이터 처리 환경에서 시맨틱을 조사하였다. XML 시맨틱은 사용 용도에 따라 구조적 시맨틱, 관계 시맨틱, 확장 시맨틱과 시맨틱 웹으로 분류할 수 있다. 그리고 질의 처리와 같이 XML 문서 관리에서 활용하기 위해 확장된 관계 시맨틱을 제안한다.

화학적 활성화에 따른 Ni 담지된 흑연나노섬유의 전기화학적 거동 (Effect of Chemical Activation on Electrochemical behaviors of Ni-loaded Graphite Nanofibers)

  • In this study, we prepared the activated graphite nanofibers (A-GNFs) via chemical activation with KOH reagent. The effect of A-GNFs on the surface and textural properties of Ni-loaded graphite nanofibers (Ni/GNFs) was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET). The textural properties of samples were investigated by $N_2$/77K adsorption isotherms. The electrochemical performances were investigated by cyclic voltammetry. As a results, the electrochemical performances of Ni/GNFs were improved with usage of A-GNFs. This could be interpreted by the high specific surface area and large total pore volume of the A-GNFs.
