통합 체질진단 시스템 개발 및 반복성 평가 (Development and Evaluation of Repeatability of the Integrated Constitutional Diagnosis System)

  • Objectives In this study, we developed a mock-up of the system for Sasang Constitutional (SC) diagnosis. This system consists of 5 devices which are the face analyzer, the voice analyzer, the skin analyzer, the pulse analyzer, and the computer-based questionnaire. Our goal is to evaluate the repeatability of the system. Methods Each device is capable of classifying SC types. The classification probability of the integrated system for the SC types was obtained by summing the probability from each device. For evaluating the repeatability of the system, we collected data for 5 subjects, and repeated the measurement three times for each individual. The average and standard deviation were used for calculating the Coefficient of Variation. Results The results showed that the repeatability of the classification probability of the integrated system is about 8%, which implies the system is repeatable. Conclusions To increase usability of this system, it is desirable for the system to offer information on health condition of the user. The integrated constitutional diagnosis system will be upgraded to complement the convenience and to develop the diagnostic algorithm for the user's health condition.

Measuring the Degree of Content Immersion in a Non-experimental Environment Using a Portable EEG Device

  • As mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs become more popular, users are becoming accustomed to consuming a massive amount of multimedia content every day without time or space limitations. From the industry, the need for user satisfaction investigation has consequently emerged. Conventional methods to investigate user satisfaction usually employ user feedback surveys or interviews, which are considered manual, subjective, and inefficient. Therefore, the authors focus on a more objective method of investigating users' brainwaves to measure how much they enjoy their content. Particularly for multimedia content, it is natural that users will be immersed in the played content if they are satisfied with it. In this paper, the authors propose a method of using a portable and dry electroencephalogram (EEG) sensor device to overcome the limitations of the existing conventional methods and to further advance existing EEG-based studies. The proposed method uses a portable EEG sensor device that has a small, dry (i.e., not wet or adhesive), and simple sensor using a single channel, because the authors assume mobile device environments where users consider the features of portability and usability to be important. This paper presents how to measure attention, gauge and compute a score of user's content immersion level after addressing some technical details related to adopting the portable EEG sensor device. Lastly, via an experiment, the authors verified a meaningful correlation between the computed scores and the actual user satisfaction scores.

단층촬영영상을 이용한 T.O.D Calibration의 정확성과 유용성에 관한 비교연구 (Comparative Study on Accuracy and Usefulness of Calibration Using CT T.O.D)

  • Uses a Tomographic scan image and Table Object Distance(TOD) price after measuring, uses accuracy and usability of blood vessel diameter(Vessel Diameter) measurement under comparison evaluating boil TOD Calibration. Produced an accuracy from monitoring data and comparison evaluated. The statistical program used SPSS. TOD Calibration accuracy was 96.53%, standard deviation is 0.03829. Catheter Calibration accuracy of 92.91%, standard deviation is 0.05085. Represents a statistically significant difference(p = 0). According to age and gender was not statistically significant(p > 0.05). TOD Calibration correlation coefficient R-squared of 88.8%, Catheter Calibration of the R-squared is 75.5%. High accuracy of both methods. Through this study, CT images using the measured distance between the table and the Object, TOD Calibration accuracy higher than two Catheter Calibration was measured. TOD and Catheter Calibration represents a statistically significant difference(p = 0).

뇌졸중 환자들의 한국판 Tinetti-보행 척도의 측정자간·절대적 신뢰도와 동시 타당도 (Inter-rater·absolute Reliability and Concurrent Validity of Tinetti-gait Scale (Korean version) in Stroke Patients)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate the inter-rater absolute reliability and the concurrent validity of the Tinetti-gait scale that was translated into Korean for chronic stroke patients. METHODS: Fifty-two patients with post-stroke participated in this study. Inter-rater reliability was analyzed by Intraclass Correlation Coefficient ($ICC_{3,1}$) and Kappa coefficient, and absolute reliability was analyzed by the Standard Error of Measurement (SEM), and the Minimal Detectable Change (MDC). Concurrent validity was analyzed by correlating between the Tinetti-gait scale and physical functions. The physical functions were measured by using the Dynamic Gait Index(DGI), 10m walking test(10WT), One Leg Standing Test of affected/non-affected side(OLST), Sit to Stand test(STS), (Fugl Meyer assessment of Lower Extremity(FM-LE). RESULTS: The inter-rater reliability of the Tinetti-gait scale was high; $ICC_{(3,1)}=.91$ (95% CI=.85~.95) (very reliable), the range of Kappa coefficient were .73~.92 (substantial~good). The inter-rater agreement of the each item in Tinetti-gait scale ranged from .74 to .92 (95 % CI=.59~.95) (reliable~very reliable). The SEM and MDC were .56 and 1.55, respectively. In the results of concurrent validity, there were moderate positive correlation between Tinetti-gait scale and DGI (r=.78), 10WT (r=.74), OLST (r=.65~.73), FM-LE (r=67). And there was moderate negative correlation between Tinetti-gait scale and STS (r=-79) (p<.01). CONCLUSION: The Tinetti-gait scale(Korean version) was a reliable and valid tool to measure gait ability in patients with chronic stroke. Thus, it could be a useful tool for examining a gait ability of post-stroke patients. Further study should be conducted to investigate the usability to predict fall risk of post-stroke patients of the Tinetti-gait scale.

이러닝 학습자들의 이러닝 이용동기 및 이용의도에 관한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on the e-Learning Motives and Intent of e-Learning Learners)

  • 본 연구는 이러닝을 이용한 경험이 없는 대학생들이 이러닝의 특성 요인 중 어떠한 요인으로 인해 이러닝을 이용하려고 하는지 이용의도에 미치는 요인을 알아보기 위해 경상북도에 소재한 Y대학과 K대학의 대학생을 대상으로 2단계에 걸쳐 연구조사를 실시하였다. 1차 조사를 진행한 후, 조사결과와 전문가 인터뷰를 바탕으로 측정항목을 구성하고 이를 기본이론으로 하여 학습자들의 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 2차 조사를 진행하였다. 그 결과, 첫째 이러닝의 가장 큰 이점인 자율성이 오히려 대학생들의 자기통제력을 낮추어 이러닝 이용 시 결점으로 나타났다. 둘째 대학생들은 학습시간의 편의성, 학습과정의 용이성, 이러닝의 유용성으로 인해 이러닝을 이용하는 것으로 나타났지만, 학습공간의 편의성은 이러닝을 이용하는데 유용은 하지만 실질적인 이러닝을 이용하는 의도에는 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 대학 내에서 이러닝을 활성화 시키고 학습자들의 학습효과를 증진하는데 필요한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

수정된 측면 교각운동이 정상 성인 몸통근육의 두께에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of a Modified Side-Bridge Exercise on the Thickness of Trunk Muscles in Healthy Adults)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the side-bridge exercise on the thicknesses of the external and internal obliques, the transverse abdominis, and the erector spinae, which are some of the trunk muscles of healthy adult males and females. Methods: There were 30 subjects divided into two groups with 15 subjects in the modified side-bridge exercise group and 15 subjects in the bridge exercise group. The changes in each variable were analyzed before the exercise, after three weeks, and after six weeks of exercise using a two-way repeated analysis of variance. The significance level was set at 0.05. When there was any interaction between the time of measurement and each group, a paired t-test was conducted to find the difference within groups and an independent-sample t-test was conducted to find the difference between groups. The significance level for both tests was set at 0.01. Results: There was a significant difference in the external and internal obliques and the erector spinae according to changes over time and the interactions between the time and groups (p < 0.05). However, there was a significant difference in the transverse abdominis only according to the interaction between the length of times (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The study results indicated that the modified side-bridge exercise significantly increased the thickness of the external and internal obliques and the erector spinae. This suggests the usability of the exercise in lumbar stabilization exercises in future studies and clinical fields.

디지털 개인 보안 인식과 디지털 시민 참여의식이 디지털 개인 정보보호 행동에 미치는 영향 분석: 자의성과 수평성을 중심으로 (Analysis of the effects of digital privacy security awareness and digital civic engagement on digital privacy protection behavior : focusing on volition and horizontality)

  • 본 연구는 디지털 환경에서 점진적으로 필요하게 된 디지털 정보보호 개선 전략에 관한 연구적 배경에서 비롯되었고, 연구 목적은 개인적 요소 영역의 자의성과 상황적 요소 영역의 수평성이 디지털 개인 정보보호의 주요 요인에 미치는 유효성을 확인하고, 궁극적으로 정보보호 행동에 미치는 영향력을 검증하는 것이다. 연구방법은 자의성과 수평성의 요인설계 바탕이며, 측정 변수는 디지털 개인 보안 인식, 디지털 시민 참여의식, 디지털 개인 정보보호 행동이다. 연구 결과, 자의성 영역이 디지털 개인 정보보호에 미치는 영향력은 의미가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 디지털 개인 정보보호 행동에 영향력을 미치고 있었으며, 고-자의성 조건의 효과성이 저-자의성 조건보다 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 아울러, 분석결과 수평성 영역이 디지털 개인 정보보호에 미치는 영향력은 의미가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 디지털 개인 보안 인식, 디지털 시민 참여의식에 영향력을 미치고 있었으며, 고-수평성 조건의 효과성이 저-수평성 조건보다 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로, 이제까지의 성과들을 중심으로 디지털 개인 정보보호의 적절한 내용들을 기반으로 학술적 활용방안을 논의하였다.

뷰티전공 대학의 교육서비스품질 구성개념 분석 (Analysis of the Composition Concept of Education Service Quality of Beauty Major University)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 뷰티 전공 대학생을 대상으로 개방형 질문지와 포커스 그룹 인터뷰의 두가지 통합 연구방법을 통하여 교육 서비스 품질 구성개념을 규명하고자 한다. 연구 참여자는 전국 2년제, 4년제 대학의 뷰티 전공 재학생을 모집단으로 설정하고 임의 표집방식으로 250명을 채택하여 조사에 사용하였다. 일련의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개방형질문지의 귀납적 내용분석 결과 뷰티 전공 대학의 교육 서비스품질은 전공지식, 교육적 자질, 교수-학생 친밀감, 학생욕구반영, 활용성, 교육과정 구성, 환경효율성, 교육기자재, 명성의 9개 세부 영역과 일반영역으로 교수 전문성, 교수-학생 공감, 교육과정, 교육 환경, 명성의 5개 영역으로 도출 하였다. 둘째, 포커스 그룹 인터뷰 결과 귀납적 내용분석을 보다 타당성 있게 지적하고 심도 있게 도출 되었다. 본 연구의 결과 뷰티 전공 대학의 교육서비스 품질의 측정도구 개발에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

마인드 퐁 제어를 위한 사물인터넷을 이용하는 뇌-기계 인터페이스 개발 (Development of Brain-machine Interface for MindPong using Internet of Things)

  • 뇌-기계 인터페이스(BMI)는 신경활동을 통해 발생하는 전기 신호인 뇌파를 해석하여 기계를 제어하는 인터페이스이다. BMI는 다양한 분야에 적용될 수 있으나 뇌파 측정 및 해석을 위한 하드웨어의 휴대성이 낮아 대중적으로 사용되기에 어렵다는 단점이 있다. 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위해 이전 연구에서는 클라우드 컴퓨팅을 이용한 사물인터넷 기반 뇌-기계 인터페이스 시스템을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서는 위 시스템의 실시간 사용성을 증명하기 위하여 뇌파로 퐁(Pong) 게임을 조종하는 애플리케이션을 개발하여 테스트하였다. 그 결과 제안된 BMI 사용자가 최적 제어 인공지능과의 실시간 퐁 게임 대결에서 대등한 스코어를 보였다. 따라서 본 연구 결과는 사물인터넷 기반 뇌-기계 인터페이스가 일상생활 속 다양항 실시간 애플리케이션으로 활용될 수 있음을 시사한다.

Improved prediction of soil liquefaction susceptibility using ensemble learning algorithms

  • The prediction of the susceptibility of soil to liquefaction using a limited set of parameters, particularly when dealing with highly unbalanced databases is a challenging problem. The current study focuses on different ensemble learning classification algorithms using highly unbalanced databases of results from in-situ tests; standard penetration test (SPT), shear wave velocity (Vs) test, and cone penetration test (CPT). The input parameters for these datasets consist of earthquake intensity parameters, strong ground motion parameters, and in-situ soil testing parameters. liquefaction index serving as the binary output parameter. After a rigorous comparison with existing literature, extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), bagging, and random forest (RF) emerge as the most efficient models for liquefaction instance classification across different datasets. Notably, for SPT and Vs-based models, XGBoost exhibits superior performance, followed by Light gradient boosting machine (LightGBM) and Bagging, while for CPT-based models, Bagging ranks highest, followed by Gradient boosting and random forest, with CPT-based models demonstrating lower Gmean(error), rendering them preferable for soil liquefaction susceptibility prediction. Key parameters influencing model performance include internal friction angle of soil (ϕ) and percentage of fines less than 75 µ (F75) for SPT and Vs data and normalized average cone tip resistance (qc) and peak horizontal ground acceleration (amax) for CPT data. It was also observed that the addition of Vs measurement to SPT data increased the efficiency of the prediction in comparison to only SPT data. Furthermore, to enhance usability, a graphical user interface (GUI) for seamless classification operations based on provided input parameters was proposed.
