This study attempted to identify the type of social network interventions and barriers to implement them. Few empirical studies have been conducted concerning social network interventions as professional activities. Although social support and social network interventions have been noted as important practice concepts, the existing studies ten us little about how social workers perceive and experience social network interventions. This study used seven types of social network interventions identified in the previous studies. And based on "obstacles to social network interventions scale" developed by Biegel, Tracy & Song (1995), a twenty-two item scale was developed by the authors. The results from this study show that social workers little implement social network interventions such as community empowerment, family caregiver enhancement, and support group, and that they perceive organization characteristics and profession-oriented culture as important obstacles to implement social network interventions. The findings from this study suggest various strategies to address these barriers.

1. Today mass communication informs us of the unethical behaviors of business almost everyday and the social interest about them including individuals implicated in loss and gain grows larger. It is the real aspect that business manager and scholars do not cope with the situation. 2. Five business ethical scales as justice theory, relativism, egoism, utilitarianism, deontological theory and information ethics were applied to this thesis. 3. Hypothesis : There will he a difference in the response on five ethical scales and the recognition degree of information ethics with consumers. 4. The response on five ethical scales with the sex of consumers showed a significant difference but that with the age showed a little difference that with the academic career showed a significant difference in justice theory, relativism, utilitarianism and deontological theory 5. The recognition degree of information ethics with the age and academic career of consumers showed a significant difference and the hypothesis was accepted, but that with the sex showed a little difference.

It is generally known that accurate segmentation is very necessary for both an individual word and continuous utterances in speech recognition. It is also commonly known that techniques are now being developed to classify the voiced and the unvoiced, also classifying the plosives and the fricatives. The method for accurate recognition of the phonemes isn't yet scientifically established. Therefore, in this study we analyze the Korean language, using the classification of 'Hunminjeongeum' and contemporary phonetics, with the frequency band, Mel band and Mel Cepstrum, we extract notable features of the phonemes from Korean speech and segment speech by the unit of the phonemes to normalize them. Finally, through the analysis and verification, we intend to set up Phonemic Segmentation System that will make us able to adapt it to both an individual word and continuous utterances.

This article examines the issue of utilization of research findings from public funded research institutions (PRIs) and universities in Malaysia from the perspective of knowledge flows. Such a perspective is adapted from the literature on innovation and knowledge systems. This representation of innovation in terms of knowledge flows helps us to focus on the managerial dimensions involved in the organization of activities such as research and development (R&D). The paper reveals that there is a dismal rate of adoption of research findings generated from PRIs and universities in Malaysia. It is argued that this poor performance is a consequence of weak research management practices. A framework on the key elements of sound research management is described. The article concludes with a discussion on managerial and policy issues arising from these deficiencies and some suggestions for addressing them.

In an electricity market, the spot market is normally integrated with a forward or future market. The advantage of the forward market is to allow the market participants to deal in a part or the whole trading portfolio at a fix price in advance and to avoid risk associated to the uncertain price of the spot market. Japan has introduced a continuous auction base forward market from April 2005. This paper analyzes the Japanese forward market rules and operations, and introduces a new algorithm that may improve the efficiency of the market itself. The proposed algorithm enables us to give consideration to the specific characteristics of the power system and to integrate them in the auction mechanism. The benefits of the proposed algorithm are verified on an electronic simulation platform and the results described in this paper.

In this paper, we present a new approach for speaker diarization. First, we use the prosodic information calculated on the original speech to resynthesize the new speech data utilizing the spectrum modeling technique. The resynthesized data is modeled with sinusoids based on pitch, vibration amplitude, and phase bias. Then, we use the resynthesized speech data to extract cepstral features and integrate them with the cepstral features from original speech for speaker diarization. At last, we show how the two streams of cepstral features can be combined to improve the robustness of speaker diarization. Experiments carried out on the standardized datasets (the US National Institute of Standards and Technology Rich Transcription 04-S multiple distant microphone conditions) show a significant improvement in diarization error rate compared to the system based on only the feature stream from original speech.

Magnetic fields are thought to playa role in a wide variety of important astrophysical processes, from angular momentum transport and jet formation in accretion disks to corona formation in stars. Unfortunately, the dynamics of magnetic fields in astrophysical plasmas are extremely complicated, and the success of current theoretical models and computer simulations seems to be inversely correlated with the amount of observational detail available to us. Here I will discuss some of the more striking conflicts between numerical simulations and observations, and present an explanation for them based on an important dynamical process which is not adequately modeled in current numerical simulations. These processes will lead to the formation of flux tubes in stars and accretion disks, in accordance with observations. I will discuss some of the implications of flux tube formation for stellar and accretion disk dynamos.

This is to study some female court costumes, Jamgsam and Sooboro etc. (장삼, 수보노), which seem to had been used as ceremonial robes. There is no remaines, and only a little written materials can be used. The Kook-Chang-Dogam Eui Gues(국장도감의구) give us some know ledges on the shapes, materials, embroideries and the usages of them. After surveying the provisions of the Eui-Gues, Auther arrived at conclusions as follow; 1. Jangsam(장삼) set is the counterpart of the Myunbok(면복) set. 2. Sooboro(수보노), worn over the Sang(상), is short, divided into three parts from the middle of the length, and the peonies(목단) are embroidered at the bottom of the three parts. 3. Jangsam(장삼) is accompanied by susik(수식), which seems to be a kind of headband, and a pair of gloves(수의).

A GIS software GEO Millennium SystemTM has been developed to integrated with spatial database that combines conventional and spatially related data. As we known well the standard query language lacks the support of spatial data type and predicate, and can not serve as the query language in the spatial database directly; some extended strategies have been proposed, but some of them need their own storage manager, some introfuce new clause into the SELECT-FROM-WHERE structure, and some is very complex and available to us. So we designed our own query language on the conventional storage manager system. It supports the Spatial Data Type and predicate, and provides the full query capabilities of SQL on the non-spatial part of the database while being tightly integrated with the spatial part, without changing the standard SQL structure.

There are various types of noise around us such as road traffic noise, aircraft noise and floor impact sound, equipment noise, etc. Researches on the noise criteria and the evaluation method for the diffuser noise of HVAC are insufficient. dB(A) and NC values represented in ASHRAE guide book are applied as a noise criteria for diffuser noise, which have some problems like that the values between dB(A) and NC have deviation even if the sound is same one. Therefore, the evaluation method should be considered and proposed based on the subjective responses. From these reasons, this study aimed to analyze the evaluation factors for the diffuser noise of HVAC reflected on the subjective responses by surveying vocabularies and grouping them with factor analysis.
