Lateral performance of CRCS connections with tube plate

  • This paper presents experimental and analytical studies to evaluate the cyclic behaviour of Circular Reinforced Concrete column Steel beam (CRCS) connections. Two 3/4-scale CRCS specimens are tested under quasi-static reversed cyclic loading. Specimens were strengthened with a tube plate (TP) and a steel doubler plate (SDP). Furthermore; nine interior beam-through type RCS connections are simulated using nonlinear three-dimensional finite element method using ABAQUS software and are verified with experimental results. The results revealed that using the TP improves the performance of the panel zone by providing better confinement to the concrete. Utilizing the TP at the panel zone may absorb and distribute stress in this region. Results demonstrate that TP can be used instead of SDP. Test records indicate that specimens with TP, with and without SDP maintained their maximum strength up to 4% drift angle, satisfying the recommendation given by AISC341-2016 for composite special moment-resisting frames.

자율주행 실험도시(K-city) 내 V2V 통신 환경에 관한 연구 (A Study on V2V Communication Environment in K-city)

  • K-city is an experimental area for developing self-driving cars. V2X communications such as WAVE, C-V2X and 5G are an essential technology for autonomous driving above level 4. In this paper, the research on the V2V communication environment was carried out through BSM receiving level analysis on the driving route in K-city. A stationary vehicle communicated with a test vehicle moving along urban area and suburban road in two different scenarios. The communication range and receiving levels obtained from this study will be used to develop and verify various safety scenarios using V2V communication within K-city in the future.

친환경 소프트 포장재의 공학적 특성에 관한 연구 (Charateristics of Soft Paving Materials used Eco-friendly)

  • 연구목적: 본 연구에서는 친환경 소재인 알톱밥과 EPDM칩을 사용하여 친환경 포장재의 개발을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 친환경 재료로 환경적으로 문제가 없고, EPDM칩을 사용함으로써 보행감을 높이며, 알톱밥에 소금물 혼합 우드스테인과 우레탄바인더를 혼합하여 내구성을 향상시킨다. 연구결과: 배합설계 시험을 통하여 최적 배합비를 산출하였고, 배합비를 바탕으로 세립의 알톱밥과 EPDM칩을 사용하여 보도의 표층재, 단입도의 알톱밥만을 사용하여 투수성과 반탄력을 갖춘 보도의 기층재 및 자전거도로의 표층재로 구성하였고 시험시공을 통해 적용공법을 제시하였다. 결론: 본 연구를 통해 기존의 탄성포장재와 달리 휨강도를 제시하고 우수한 투수계수를 나타냄으로 보도포장재로서 경제적인 시공이 바로 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

서울 도심의 실제 도로 주행 조건에서 소형자동차의 주행인자와 CO2 배출 특성에 관한 연구 (The Characteristics of Driving Parameters and CO2 Emissions of Light-Duty Vehicles in Real-Driving Conditions at Urban Area in Seoul)

  • 본 논문에서는 소형자동차에 이동식 배출가스 측정장비(PEMS)를 탑재하여 서울 도심의 실제 도로를 주행하고, 주행인자와 $CO_2$ 배출량 간의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 주요 주행인자로는 평균차속, 상대가속도(RPA-Relative Positive Acceleration), 정지비율을 선정하였고, 도로유형을 단속류와 연속류로 구분하여 분석하였다. 주행거리 기반의 이동평균구간 계산 방법을 적용하여 다양한 주행조건에서의 평균값을 구하고, 다중 선형 회귀분석 방법을 통해 주행인자와 $CO_2$ 배출량 간의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 이러한 분석을 통해 자동차의 $CO_2$ 배출량은 평균차속이 증가함에 따라 감소하고, RPA와 정지비율의 증가에 따라 증가하는 경향이 있음을 통계적인 방법으로 확인하였다. 단속류는 연속류와 비교하였을 때 평균차속이 상당히 낮고, RPA와 정지비율은 높게 나타나는데, 이러한 주행인자분포의 차이로 인해 단속류의 단위주행거리 당 $CO_2$ 배출량이 높은 것으로 판단된다.

Ntrip 기반 보정서비스를 활용한 저가 GPS 수신기의 실시간 측위 정확도 평가 (Assessing the Real-time Positioning Accuracy of Low-cost GPS Receiver using NTRIP-based Augmentation Service)

  • 본 연구는 NTRIP 기반 보정서비스를 활용한 저가 GPS 수신기의 실시간 측량방법별 정적 및 동적 측위 정확도를 제시한 내용이다. 이를 위해 u-blox사의 LEA 6T GPS 수신 자료와 GNSS 상시관측소의 보정 정보를 NTRIP 캐스터를 매개로 RTKNAVI 공개용 GNSS 해석 툴에 실시간 연계하여 6가지 측량방법(Single, SBAS, DGPS, PPP, RTK, TCP/IP_RTK)으로 위치 정확도를 비교하였다. 정적 실험모형의 적용결과, GPS L1 RTK 측량의 위치오차 평균 및 표준편차는 $N=0.002m{\pm}0.001m$, $E=0.004m{\pm}0.001m$, $h=-0.116m{\pm}0.003m$로서 정밀상대측위 좌표에 근접한 성과를 구현할 수 있었다. 특히, 동적 실험모형에서도 도로 주변 장애물의 영향은 있지만, 모호정수가 고정된 구간의 경우, VRS Network RTK 측량 궤적에 근접한 주행궤적을 보였다. 또한, TCP/IP_RTK 측량용 기준국을 구성하고 정적측량의 활용성을 검토하였다.

  • 도심지 특성상 주변구조물에 근접한 발파로 발생되는 지반진동은 인체에 간접피해와 구조물에 물적피해를 줄 수 있다. 설계단계 또는 시공 전 민원발생 시 구조물의 피해정도를 평가하는 방법으로는 단순 진동파형을 정량적으로 표현하는데 가장 접근성이 좋은 시추공 발파시험이 주로 이용되고 있다. 본 연구는 소량의 폭약으로 인위적인 진동에너지를 발생시키는 발파시험에 전자뇌관 기폭시스템을 처음 적용하였다. 전기뇌관 시추공 발파와 전자뇌관 시추공발파의 뇌관 지연시차 상관관계, 시험장소의 터널본선과 유사 암층에 시설된 구조물에서 측정한 PPV와 서로 다른 매개 층을 포함한 터널상부 지상도로에서 측정한 PPV의 상관관계, 기존 연구결과 얻어진 시추공발파 및 터널발파 PPV와의 상관관계를 비교 분석하여 시추공 발파의 유용성과 뇌관 지연시차의 중요성을 언급하고자 한다.

주행경로에 따른 국내 소형자동차 실제도로 주행 질소산화물 배출량 특성 (Characteristics of Real-road Driving NOx Emissions from Korean Light-duty Vehicles regarding Driving Routes)

  • Despite of recently strengthened vehicle emission regulations, NOx emissions are not decreased in urban areas because of discrepancies between certification emission test modes and real driving conditions. Thus, researches on RDE-LDV (Real-driving Emission-Light-duty Vehicle) have been conducted actively using PEMS (Portable Emissions Measurement Systems). In the present study, NOx emissions were measured for 5 Korean light duty vehicles for real driving conditions including city, combined, highway, and up-downhill test route. Emission characteristics were analyzed for averaged NOx emissions per unit driving distance of each driving test routes. Furthermore, MAW (Moving Average Window) method based on $CO_2$ emissions from WLTC, which will be supported for EU regulations, was utilized. It was revealed that DRs (deviation ratios) for diesel vehicles (i.e., 5.1 ~ 8.4) were greater than gasoline vehicles (less than 0.15). Especially DR of diesel vehicle for up-downhill test route was 8.4, which indicates severe NOx emissions.

  • Lane change is an important issue in microscopic traffic flow simulations and active safety. Overtaking and changing lanes are dangerous driving maneuvers. This approach presents a lane-changing system based on speed and a minimum gap between vehicles in a vehicular ad hoc network (VANET). This paper proposes a solution to ensure the safety of drivers while changing lanes on highways. Efficient routing protocols could play a crucial role in VANET applications, safeguarding both drivers and passengers, and thus, maintaining a safe on-road environment. This paper focuses on the development of an intelligent transportation system that provides timely, reliable information to drivers and the concerned authorities. A test bed is created for the techniques used in the proposed system, where analysis takes place in an on-board embedded system designed for vehicle navigation. The designed system was tested on a four-lane road in Neemrana, India. Successful simulations were conducted with real-time network parameters to maximize quality of service and performance using Simulation of Urban Mobility and Network Simulator 2 (NS-2). The system implementation, together with the findings, is presented in this paper. Illustrating the approach are results from simulation using NS-2.

도시가로환경 구성요소의 우선순위에 관한 연구 - 아이트래킹 실험을 통한 관심영역설정 분석을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Priorities of Urban Street Environment Components - Focusing on An Analysis of AOI (Area of Interest) Setup through An Eye-tracking Experiment -)

  • Street is the most fundamental component of city and place to promote diverse actions of people. Pedestrians gaze at various street environments. A visual gaze means that there are interesting elements and these elements need to be preferentially improved in the street environment improvement project. Therefore, this study aims to set up the priorities of street environment components by analyzing eye movements from a pedestrian perspective. In this study, street environment components were classified into road, street facility, building(facade) and sky and as street environment images, three "Streets of Youth" situated in Gwangbok-ro, Seomyeon and Busan University of Busan were selected. The experiment targeted 30 males and females in their twenties to forties. After setting the angle of sight through a calibration test, an eye-tracking experiment regarding the three images was conducted. Lastly, the subjects were asked to fill in questionnaires. The following three conclusions were obtained from the results of the eye-tracking experiment and the survey. First, building was the top priority of street environment components and it was followed by street facility, road and sky. Second, as components to be regarded as important, fast 'Sequence', many 'Fixation Counts' and 'Visit Counts', short 'Time to First Fixation' and long 'Fixation Duration' and 'Visit Duration' were preferred. Third, after voluntary eye movements, the subjects recognized the objects with the highest gaze frequency and the lowest gaze frequency.

보행중 스마트기기 사용에 따른 교통사고 위험성 연구 (A Study on the Risk of Traffic Accidents using Smart Devices while Walking)

  • This study was conducted to test the impacts of distractions caused by smartphones on pedestrians whilst walking alongside or across vehicular traffic in a high-density urban zone in South Korea. Through this study, we propose objective evidence for a link between the risk of traffic accidents and distractions from smartphones for pedestrians because of less likely notice activities surrounding road along their walking. This means that smartphones usage may cause inattentional blindness even during a simple activity that should require few cognitive resources. We conducted an experiment comparing pedestrian behavioral patterns of walking with smartphone distractions (such as listening to music with earphones or sending text messages) and normal walking without any distractions. In the experiment, participants walked along a pedestrian path prescribed by researchers and were observed at 8 points which were as follows: two observation points through which participants were instructed to listen to music whilst walking, two points where participants were instructed to send text messages, and four points through which participants were instructed not to use a smartphone at all. According to pedestrian behavior analysis, there is a trend for attention to be distributed amongst whatever other activities pedestrians are doing whilst walking. Therefore, this study proposes that pedestrians walking with such distractions are at a higher risk of traffic accidents compared to those who walk without such distractions. Thus, we advise for the South Korean government to consider ways to traffic policy that will enhance traffic safety for pedestrians.
