Comparative Study on Path Design of Traditional Garden and Modernistic Park

  • By Article two of a Japanese urban park low, it prescribes park facilities strictly, and one of the classifications includes 'path and plaza'. 대구광역도시권의 시·공간적 경관구조 변화패턴 분석 (The Spatial and Temporal Analysis of Landscape Structure in Daegu Metropolitan Sphere)

  • 과거 우리는 경제성장을 위해 집약적으로 도시를 개발해 왔고 이러한 개발정책이 자연생태계에 부정적인 영향을 미쳐왔던 것은 간과할 수 없는 사실이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 부정적인 영향의 평가를 위해 대구광역도시권을 대상으로 GIS 기법과 경관지수를 이용하여 도시성장에 따른 토지이용과 경관을 구성하는 요소들 상호간의 시 공간적 패턴을 분석하였다. 분석결과 주변지역으로 도시기능의 전이에 따라 도시는 $193.4km^2$가 확산되었으며, 산림은 다른 토지피복패턴으로 $455.6km^2$가 잠식된 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 변화의 과정에서 가장 큰 비중을 차지한 것은 상대적으로 개발여건이 양호한 농경지의 변화임을 알 수 있었다. 또한 산림은 구조적으로 파편화되고 형태는 복잡해졌을 뿐만 아니라 인접패치의 패턴도 다양해진 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 변화는 산림에 대한 외부간섭 또한 증대시켰을 것으로 생각되며, 아울러 생물종의 서식처가 되는 핵심지역을 감소시켜, 그 건전성을 저하시킬 가능성이 있는 것으로 판단된다. 이러한 연구결과는 향후 더욱 광역화되어지는 도시의 개발이 주위 환경구조에 미치는 영향과 상호관계성을 평가하고, 경관생태학적 원리를 고려한 광역도시계획수립의 기초자료로 활용 가능할 것이다.

Urban Environment change detection through landscape indices derived from Landsat TM data

  • This paper describes some results of change detection in Tokyo metropolitan area, Japan , using the Landsat TM data, and methods to quantify the ground cover classes. The changes are analyzed using the measures of not only conventional spectral classes but also a set of landscape indices to describe spatial properties of ground cove types using fractal dimension of objects, entropy in the specific windows defining the neighbors of focusing locations. In order eliminate the seasonal radiometric effects on TM data, an automated class labeling method is also attempted. Urban areas are also delineated automatically by defining the boundaries of the urban area. These procedures for urban change detection were implemented by the unified image computing methods proposed by the author, they can be automated in coherent and systematic ways, and it is anticipated to automate the whole procedures. The results of this analysis suggest that Tokyo metropolitan area was extended to the suburban areas along the new transportation networks and the high density area of Tokyo were also very much extended during the period between 1985 and 1995.

도시 내 십자형 교차로 경관의 개방성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Openness of Landscape in Urban Cross Intersections)

  • An important factor in assessing the beneficial qualities of a city's intersection spaces can be measured by examining a pedestrian's approach to the space and calculating the openness observed in the overall design of adjacent buildings. These spaces are influential, since they offer opportunities for pedestrians to spend time and take in views of the surrounding environment. The intersection of horizontal components in cities such as Bundang-si and Suwon-si can provide a sense of openness or greenness. We believe that there is a need for careful analysis and study of such components, as defined by designations in Bucheon-si research, and that this study can give important insights for future urban planning and design. When assessing the openness of an intersection, a key variable is the reported rate of perforation, which factors into the greenness of a space. Because of the large and varied scope of this research, this rate is highly variable, as there were many differences between each site. In descending order of average ratios: Seongnam-si, 41.79% > Bucheon-si, 35.40% > Suwon-si, 30.42%. The data compared for each city was divided into study sites selected at downtown locations as well as in urban outskirts. Openness and greenness were analyzed at each downtown and outskirt site. A summary of the results shows a decreased openness average of -2.63% in downtown locations versus outskirt. The greenness ratios in urban outskirt areas were 4.86% greater than downtown locations on average. As it relates to the results of this analysis of openness, the comprehensive property zoning for each city was determined as a ratio of residential to commercial designations. This study analyzes view points within urban cross intersections in the downtown landscape. It presents basic data and research directions to promote a better environment with regard to openness, and consists of an analysis of the relationship between a variety of physical components.

공공재를 활용한 도시유산의 경관 보전 및 관리개선방안 - 서울시 사적을 중심으로 - (Measures to Implements the Landscape Conservation and Management Urban Heritage Utilizing Public Goods: Focused on the Historic Sites of Seoul)

  • 본 연구는 급변하는 도시 환경에 노출된 도시유산의 경관 보전 및 관리개선을 위한 방안으로 공공재를 활용한 도시유산의 확대와 도시유산과 도시공간과의 연계방안을 제시하고자 함을 목적으로 하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 도시공간에서 유산의 이해를 높이기 위해 고시도면인 지형도면과 현상변경허용기준, 문화재청 홈페이지의 문화재보존 관리지도를 이용하여 1:1,000지도에 도시유산을 작성하고 주변에 위치한 모든 공공시설을 파악하여 기본도를 작성하였다. 둘째, 도시유산의 현황도 작성을 위해 도시유산과 유산 주변의 현황 및 변화상을 2005년부터 2014년까지 10년간의 사적분과 문화재위원회 회의록을 분석하여 도시유산 주변의 개발행위를 파악하였으며, 도시유산 주변의 보전 가능 지역 및 도시 내 도시유산의 잠재력을 상살 시킬 수 있는 지역을 찾아 활용할 수 있도록 도시유산 주변의 토지이용을 살펴보았다. 또한 현황도 작성 시 도시유산 주변지역의 입지적 특성을 파악하기 위해 단면도를 작성하였으며, 도시유산 주변의 현장 기록화를 위해 유산 및 공공시설의 주요 지점에서 사진촬영을 하였다. 셋째, 도시유산과 유산 주변의 공공시설과의 거리, 위치, 기능, 분포 등의 관계에 의해 도시유산에 미치는 영향 및 잠재적 자원으로서의 기능을 시각적 특징과 동선에 의해 분석하여 도시유산의 전면경관과 유산을 포함한 역사문화경관의 보호방안을 도출하였으며, 또한 공공재의 도시공간에서의 역할 및 도시유산 주변의 활성화 방안을 도출하였다. 넷째, 도시유산 주변의 공공시설 중 도시유산에 직접 또는 간접적인 영향을 주는 공공재를 선정하고, 공공재가 도시유산에 미치는 시각적, 면적, 선적 요소들을 통해 공공재의 역할을 파악하였으며, 이를 통해 도시유산의 경관 및 관리 개선 방안을 제시하였다.

FRAGSTATS 모델을 이용한 용인시 수지/기흥 도시 녹지 변화 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Landscape Analysis at Su-ji/Gi-heung in Young-in city using the FRAGSTATS Model)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the landscape changes at Su-ji and Gi-heung in Young-in city using FRAGSTATS Model. Landscape Indices obtained by this model can explain the structural change of urban green zone and fragmentation resulting from development. As results of this study, Gi-heung showed worse quality of landscape in 2007, comparing 2000. However, in Su-ji, there were several better landscape indices in the same 2007/2000 comparison, even though the little shrinking of green zone and separation of core area. It could assume that the reason was caused by conservation policy of urban green zone. This study could provide the useful methods for finding the problems and searching the alternatives considering the development of urban green zone.

컨테이너 건축이 만드는 도시경관 특성 분석 (Characteristic Analysis of Urban Landscape Formed by Container Construction)

  • Purpose: Various landscapes have been created in the process of changing containers, which were a tool of trade activities, to architecture, and today, containers have formed relationships with people as complex facilities and constantly create new cultures. In this paper, considering these container constructions from the viewpoint of the landscape, consider the meaning as one of landscape factors for creating cultural landscape. Method: In this study, a methodological framework was constructed based on various statistical data and literature materials, and analyzed texts called containers from the viewpoints of physical elements and active elements and analyzed them at the level of function. Based on literature materials, specifically, this study has handled with the cultural landscape as text, the functional dimension of urban design, and the characteristics of container construction. Result: This research analyzed the physical and active characteristics of the target area by utilizing the content of the field analysis and the contents of the interview, previous research, etc., and then content was analyzed in functional dimension. Through this process, the conclusion proposed by this research is to study the construction of a container and present the direction to analyze in the functional dimension showing the landscape characteristics that it brings forward.

강릉시 도시 경관 구조의 시계열적 변화 연구 (Structural Urban Landscape Changes over Time Series in Gangneung-Si)

  • This study analyzes structural landscape changes over a time-series for a small and medium-sized city, Gangneung-Si, based on area and distribution patterns, and according to the type of land cover. Among the types of land cover, the area ratio of urbanized areas increased by 2.02% in the late 2010s as compared to the late 1980s, while there was a decrease of 2.69% in farmland and 0.69% in grassland areas. On analyzing the changes in land cover use by applying the Fragstats program, it was confirmed that landscape changes in urban and management areas were relatively severe according to the Landscape Shape Index, Largest Patch Index, and Aggregation Index. A pattern of concentrated expansion was also found around certain areas. In particular, from the analysis, it was established that the proportion of urbanized area had considerably increased and that the extent of farmland damage to management areas, including planned management areas, was large. Additionally, the Total Core Area generally indicated a reduction in the core areas of farmland and forest within urban and management areas. A medium-sized city showed significant changes besides large cities in terms of landscape structure. The developmental pressure on management areas, in particular, was quite high.

  • Due to the standardized urban development since the industrial era, many urban spaces have experienced non-placeness. Recently, although interest in urban landscape, history, and cultural elements has been increasing, landscape management and control measures are being implemented mainly in large cities due to the low status of rural areas in the country. From this point of view, this study tried to lay the foundation for basic research in related fields by classifying the characteristics and types of streetscapes located near large cities, and to suggest directions that should be considered when managing streetscapes in the future. As a result of the analysis of landscape adjectives, the village felt secluded due to the low density compared to the city street overall, but it did not have a unique image of the region. Three factors were derived through factor analysis, and preference was affected in the order of aesthetic, regularity, and uniqueness. In addition, the research site was classified into three types through cluster analysis, and it was confirmed that the differences by type were due to aesthetics and naturalness. On the other hand, the uniqueness is generally low in all regions, so it seems that fundamental countermeasures are needed.
