Purpose: This study attempts to analyze the current status of the railway logistics business and to seek ways to improve it by using the business model as an analytical framework. It was intended to reflect practical implications that could be applied to the field, by dealing with issues at the industrial site related to each component in the business model. Research design, data and methodology: This study was conducted through literature review and field research. We analyzed academic papers and industrial reports on the development of the railway logistics industry and interviewed various stakeholders in the railway logistics industry. Results: This study determined the factors that could be eliminated, raised, reduced, or created from the customer and product perspective, infrastructure management perspective, and financial perspective. Conclusions: The growth of existing business can be achieved by lowering service prices, improving service quality, and securing large-scale transportation capacity. The additional transportation of high value goods and cold chain commodities will be promising business opportunities. Existing services can be provided to new customers (large pre-shippers, forwarding customers, etc.) in order to increase the size of sales Urban delivery services and comprehensive logistics services based on complex logistics centers may open an avenue for new market. A more timetable and track capacity need to be assigned to logistics, which significantly improve the flexibility and the competency of railway logistics.

The government have plans to improve the railway transport capacity and transport hub for the sustainable national transport and logistics system. Specially, there are much efforts to improve transportation capacity such as high speed transportation of rail freight, enlargement of BT train, development of double stack train, etc. between railway transport hubs. If the transport capacity between railway logistics hubs is increased as planned, we must increase the handling capacity of railway hub terminals. But there are limits to enlarge the terminal infrastructure because of investment scale, location circumstances and urban development plans. To ensure the capacity, with the minimum required enlargement of infrastructure, it is necessary to extremely increase the efficiency of terminal operations. For improving the efficiency, we have to introduce the efficient terminal operation systems based on u-IT and operation optimize technologies. In this paper, we analyse the issues and problems of railway terminals(including ICD) and suggest the concept of intelligent railway terminal and the construction components of technology.

Since 1939, Bupeyong was rapidly urbanized and industrialized for the purpose of constructing military logistics base of the empire of Japan. Based on Kyungin urban planning of 1940 and industrial land development plan of Kyeonggido, many military factories and arsenal were constructed, and great amount of housing were also built for their workers from 1939 to 1944. Although the initial urban planning was unfinished, urban change from rural area to military industrial city in the late Japanese colonial era, made identity of city of Bupyeong. Workers houses which built during five years vary in different size and type, and somewhat reflects discussions about housing attempts to solve the housing shortage. This study aims to analyze architectural characteristics of workers housing related with discussions of housing, and to evaluate its value as an industrial heritage which constitute the urban landscape of the industrial city of Bupyeong. Workers houses in Bupyeong were constructed by military factories, construction company, and Chosun housing administration, with land readjustment planning. As the war became serious, workers housing became smaller and simpler. Construction of workers housing was essential part of modern military industrial city, bupyeong, and many of workers housing are still remained whereas most of factories were demolished, thus workers housing of bupyeong has significant meaning as industrial heritage of Bupyeong.

도심항공교통(UAM; urban air mobility)은 교통 혼잡이 증가하는 도시 지역에서 교통수단의 대안으로 주목받고 있다. 사람 중심의 서비스인 기존 항공교통업무 방법으로는 복잡한 UAM 운용환경을 관리하기는 어려울 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 UAM 항공교통관리 (UATM; UAM traffic management)를 위한 첨단 정보처리 기반 교통관리시스템이 필요하다. 체계적인 UATM 환경 구축을 위해서는 공역관리가 필수적이다. 특히 UAM 항공기가 안전하게 운항할 수 있는 배타적 회랑을 구축하면 최저비행고도 규정을 위반하지 않고도 UAM 항공기를 운항할 수 있는 기회를 제공할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 UAM 운용을 위한 회랑의 횡단규격을 설정하기 위해 UAM과 유사한 규모의 헬리콥터를 이용하여 실증분석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과는 UAM 회랑 설계 시 지침으로 활용되기를 기대한다.

Logistics centers, distribution centers, or warehouse facilities increasingly dominate urban and suburban landscapes, their enormous but blank, repetitive facades completely overshadowing adjacent buildings. Mostly ignored by architects, this new building type symbolically represents the arrival of post-anthropocene, or post-urbicene era of architecture, in which an increasing portion of our built environment will not be intended for human occupancy, but rather for use by machines and artificial intelligence. As a new wave of logistics centers are becoming more automated, and more supersized, it is important to deepen architects' understanding of the organizational logic and programming factors that inform the overall design decisions for these facilities. With a particular focus on three case studies--Coupang, E-Mart, and Amazon Fulfillment Centers, this research examines the current trends in automation and expansion of logistics centers, and offers an analysis and forecast for future facilities in South Korea.

본 논문은 도시형 신교통시스템 도입 계획단계에서 적정 신교통시스템을 용이하게 선정하기 위해 대중교통수단의 다양한 특성들에 대한 중요도를 고려하는 평가기법을 제시하고 있다. 이 기법은 대중교통수단의 특성을 이용자 영향요인, 지역사회 영향요인, 정부 및 운영자 영향요인으로 구분하여 총 12개의 평가항목을 설정하고, 이에 대한 중요도를 분석하여 신교통시스템을 평가하는 기법이다. 실증적 분석을 위해 AHP 기법을 이용하여 중소도시의 간선형 신교통시스템에 대한 가중치를 조사하여 평가를 시행한 결과, 중요도는 안전성, 신속 및 정시성, 편리성, 지역활성화 순으로, 우선순위는 철재차륜 AGT, LIM, 고무차륜 AGT 순으로 분석되었다.

코로나19 이후 비대면 소비 사회로의 전환이 일어나며 생활밀착형 라스트마일 물류 서비스인 택배 기반의 세분화된 도시 물류의 중요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 연구는 소셜 네트워크 분석(SNA)을 활용하여 지역 및 상품 특성별로 수요의 관계성을 분석하고자 한다. 전자상거래에서 수요 파악에 활용되었던 장바구니 네트워크와 공동 구매 상품 네트워크를 확장한 분석 결과 택배 주문 건 수 데이터 속에서 상품 카테고리 패턴을 발견하고 지역별 차이를 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구에서 제시하는 SNA 기반 분석이 도시 물류의 재고 분산 배치나 상품(SKU) 선정 전략에 효과적으로 적용될 수 있음이 확인되었다.

도심지 유통물류시설 실증사이트에 ESS기반 융복합 제품 적용 및 관련 시스템 구축을 통하여 유통물류시설에서의 ESS 설치 공간적 제약 극복, 실증을 통한 안정성과 성능 검증, 제품 적용과 데이터 수집 분석을 통한 효율적 운영 방안 마련 등과 제품 적용에 따른 피크 제어 및 비상발전기 가동 전 대체 등을 설계함으로써 ESS의 유통물류 시설 보급 확대 기반을 마련하였다.

As the Internet has expanded and the continuous expansion of online shopping in China, many rural areas also have sales outlets. Due to the impact of economic conditions, rural locations have inadequate e-commerce logistical infrastructure, the number of outlets is small, and each other is in a decentralized state. For various reasons, the advancement of rural e-commerce logistics lags far behind that in urban areas. As the Internet of Things with big data grow in popularity, we can create and enhance the assurance system for the booming ecommerce in rural areas by building the support system of rural online shopping platform, and strengthening the joint distribution of logistics terminals based on data mining, so as to encourage the quick and healthy growth of rural online shopping.

To develop the most effect maintenance system of urban MAGLEV train which is being developed based on system engineering, logistics belong to special system engineering were applied to maintenance system and Integrated Logistic Supports (ILS) were employed to tailor every step of MAGLEV project. Since ILS had not been applied to domestic train project, the followings were studied to validate ILS: 1) case studies on maintenance procedures at home and abroad, 2) overview of standardized process of ILS, 3) Comparison and analysis of relationship between RAMS and ILS, 4) Application of ILS to MAGLEV maintenance system and other domestic train system.
