  • An extremely unusual case of epidermoid cyst showing diffuse parakeratosis and aggressive clinical behavior is presented. A destructive bone lesion with surrounding ill-defined soft tissue lesion was found by computed tomography in a 63 year-old man complaining of painful swelling of the right buttock. He had a history of surgical excision twice for epidermoid cysts of soft tissue of the right hip during recent one year On aspiration cytology, the aspirate was highly cellular and mostly composed of desquamated nucleated squamous cells. Operation finding revealed that the iliac bone was Irregularly destroyed and filled with gray-white cheesy material and necrotic bone bedris. Adjacent gluteus muscle showed scattered gray-white lesions. The curettage specimen showed bone necrosis and desquamated squamous cells filling the marrow spaces. The lesion within muscle revealed epidermoid cyst with diffuse parakeratosis.

Effect of Stafne bone defect on the adjacent tooth: A review of the literature

  • Purpose: This report presents a case of an unusual and rare presentation of Stafne bone defect (SBD) with apical resorption extending from the lower right lateral incisor to the right first premolar. A systematic search of the current literature on cases where SBD affected the adjacent teeth was conducted. Materials and Methods: From 259 identified articles, 114 studies were examined, containing 12 individuals with a mean age of 41.58 years. Ten cases in the anterior mandible and 2 in the posterior mandible were found. Results: The results of SBD varied from apical blunting to severe root resorption, and some cases showed close apical contact with the lesion or involvement of the root without any effect. Conclusion: SBD is an unusual incidental finding in the anterior region of the mandible, and unexpected behavior of the lesion, such as root resorption, must be considered.

  • 최근 1인 가구가 다양한 연령대에서 증가하고 있으며 무연고자의 사망도 점차 증가한다. 1인 가구의 무연고사의 경우 주위에 돌봐줄 사람이 없어 많이 발생하며 최근에는 노인뿐만 아니라 다양한 연령대에서 발생한다. 우리는 혼자 사는 사람의 이상 징후를 탐지하고자 홈 CCTV를 이용한 영상 패턴 알고리즘과 음성을 인식하는 음성 패턴 알고리즘, 움직임 및 요리 등에서 발생하는 먼지를 탐지하는 센서로 먼지 패턴 알고리즘을 연구 및 개발하였다. 개별적으로 제안된 패턴 알고리즘은 탐지 영역을 벗어나게 되면 탐지하지 못하는 단점이 존재한다. 개별 패턴 알고리즘의 성능을 향상시키기 위해 융합 방식을 연구했으며, 다수의 사용자 행동 패턴을 분석하여 그 성능을 검증하였다.

  • EThe purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships of consumers psychological characteristics, store types and impulse buying behaviors of apparels. We collected data from 469 consumers of women college student living in Pusan and analysed by factor analysis, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, t-test and $\chi$$^2$-test. The results were as follows: First, The sensation seeking tendency consisted of the Change seeking, Risk seeking, Artistic seeking, Curiosity seeking and Unusual seeking. The exploratory behavior of apparels were divided into six factors; Particularity exploration, Innovation exploration, Store exploration, Brand royalty exploration, interpersonal exploration and brand-seeking exploration. Second, In comparison with the unimpulse-buying group, the impulse-buying group intended more then Change seeking, when apparel explored, Particularity exploration, Innovation exploration and Brand exploration. Impulse-buying group preferred the department store, unimpulse-buying group did the specialty store.

Laminar Forced Convective Heat Transfer to Near-Critical Water in a Tube

  • Numerical modeling is carried out to investigate forced convective heat transfer to near-critical water in developing laminar flow through a circular tube. Due to large variations of thermo-physical properties such as density, specific heat, viscosity, and thermal conductivity near thermodynamic critical point, heat transfer characteristics show quite different behavior compared with pure forced convection. With flow acceleration along the tube unusual behavior of heat transfer coefficient and friction factor occurs when the fluid enthalpy passes through pseudocritical point of pressure in the tube. There is also a transition behavior from liquid-like phase to gas-like phase in the developing region. Numerical results with constant heat flux boundary conditions are obtained for reduced pressures from 1.09 to 1.99. Graphical results for velocity, temperature, and heat transfer coefficient with Stanton number are presented and analyzed.

  • 이상 객체란 일반적이고 평범한 행동을 취하는 객체가 아닌 비정상적이고 흔하지 않은 행동을 하여 관찰이나 감시·감독을 필요로 하는 사람, 물체, 기계 장치 등을 뜻한다. 이를 사람의 지속적인 개입 없이 인공지능 알고리즘을 통해 탐지하기 위해서 광학 흐름 기법을 활용한 시간적 특징의 특이도를 관찰하는 방법이 많이 활용되고 있으며, 이 기법은 정해진 표현 범위가 없는 수많은 이상 행동을 식별하기에 적합하다. 본 연구에서는 생성적 적대 신경망(Generative Adversarial Network, GAN)으로 입력 영상 프레임을 광학 흐름 영상으로 변환하는 알고리즘을 학습시켜 비정상적인 상황을 식별한다. 특히 생성적 적대 신경망 모델이 입력 영상에 대한 중요한 특징 정보를 학습하고, 그 외 불필요한 이상치를 제외시키기 위한 전처리 과정과 학습 후 테스트 데이터셋에서 식별 정확도를 높이기 위한 후처리 과정을 고도화하여 전체적인 모델의 이상 행동 식별 성능을 향상시키는 기법을 제안한다. 이상 행동을 탐지하기 위한 학습 데이터셋으로 UCSD Pedestrian, UMN Unusual Crowd Activity를 활용하였으며, UCSD Ped2 데이터셋에서 프레임 레벨 AUC 0.9450, EER 0.1317의 수치를 보이며 이전 연구에서 도출된 성능 지표 대비 성능 향상이 확인되었다.

  • This study investigated the effects of aging on the transformation behavior of $Ti-50.1at\%$ Ni alloy by means of differential scanning calorimetry. It was found that aging in the temperature range of $350^{\circ}C\~550^{\circ}C$ induced complex transformation behavior, involving the R-phase and multiple-stage martensitic transformation. Usually aged Ni-rich NiTi alloys undergo martensitic transformation on cooling from high temperatures in two step : B2 to R and then R to Bl9'(normal behavior). But under certain ageing conditions, the transformation can also occur in three or more step(unusual multiple step behavior). In the present study we use differential seaming calorimetry(DSC) for a systematic investigation of the evolution of transformation behavior with ageing temperature and time.

  • A series of biologically active phosphopeptides were synthesized and their behavior in tandem mass spectrometry have been investigated. The structure identifications of other unusual peptides such as sulphated, glycosylated, lipoidal, and backbone modified peptides have been carried out. For all tested peptides, the structural modification could be determined directly by measurement of the absolute molecular weight in combination with collision-induced-dissociation in tandem mass spectrometry.

초기 등통로각압출 공정 횟수가 압출된 마그네슘 합금의 이방성에 미치는 영향 (Influence of initial ECAP passes on the anisotropic behavior of an extruded magnesium alloy)

  • In this paper, a transversely isotropic behavior of AZ31 Mg alloy produced by equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) process was investigated through tensile test and microstructure observation. The effects of initial ECAP pass number on the anisotropic behavior and mechanical properties of the Mg alloy are evaluated after conventional direct extrusion test, which are carried out at a temperature of $200^{\circ}C$. As a result of the tensile test in three directions ($0^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, and $90^{\circ}$ to the extrusion direction of the sheet) at room temperature, elongation of as-extruded AZ31 alloy(ECAP for 0 pass) showed an unusual anisotropic behavior depending on the extrusion direction although the yield strength and tensile strength are similar to the ECAPed AZ31 alloy. After ECAP for 4 passes at $200^{\circ}C$, microstructural observations of ECAPed magnesium alloy showed a significant grain refinement, which is leading to an equiaxed grain structure with average size of $2.5{\mu}m$. The microstructures of the extruded billet are observed by the use of an electron back-scattering diffraction (EBSD) technique to evaluate of the influence on the grain refinement during extrusion process and re-crystallization mechanism of AZ31 Mg alloy.
