Materials and Methods: We inspected 32 theses and scrutinized their objectives, periods, participants, materials and methods, the instrument of assessment for the studies, and validity, reliability, criteria and symptom score for questionnaires, results and JADAD score. Results: 1. The median for total period of study was 7 months, the median for days of treatment was 7.5, and most studies were carried out during the winter/spring period, because of the enhanced risk of cold infections. 2. The studies focused on unorthodox medicines or new drug products, such as antipyretic analgesics (e.g. paracetamol), decongestant and bronchodilator (e.g. ephedrine), echinacea, antioxidants (e.g. zinc), probiotic bacteria and so on. 3. All theses except one had subjectscomposed of cold patients who were infected naturally. The median number of subjects for final analysis was 187. 4. 27 studies used survey as the instrument of assessment. Among these, only one thesis was verified for validity. 5. The mean of JADAD score was 4.41, suggesting most of theses of worth. 7 studies were assessed as ineffective. Results: 1. Most studies were published by oriental doctors except one which was published by an American doctor. More and more studies are being published in America and written in English recently. So it is considered that western doctors think that the acupuncture treatment is useful as unorthodox medicine for functional dyspepsia. 2. Among the 4 clinical studies, 2 studies were RCT and 1 study was not RCT and 1 study with vagueness. All 4 clinical studies were not double-blinded because they were about comparison between acupuncture treatment and medicine. 3. • The purpose of this study is to re-read the film of Dead Poets Society, specially focused on a feminist view. The film hides the strategy of recovering the traditional Patriarchal Society. At the beginning, the film resists the values of traditional society through John Keating. His unorthodox methods of teaching literature smack against the traditions of Welton Academy. Furthermore, he stresses on "Carpe Diem"—Seize the Day, the romantic values of free thinking, creativity, and individuality. The forces opposing Keating's philosophy are personified by Welton's rigid, old headmaster, Mr. Nolan, and the cruel, stubborn parent, Mr. Perry. Keating's romantic values are failed by their powerful, dominating attitudes. Effected by Keating's philosophy, Neil decides to pursue acting rather than medicine. He conflicts with his strict father. Finally frustrated by his authority, Neil commits suicide. And Keating is accused of inciting the boys to restart the Dead Poets Society, and at last he is fired. Keating and Neil are victimized by the Patriarchal society. Even though the film concentrates male characters at the all boys' school, it reveals the male angle of binary oppositions between men and women, subject and object, activity and passivity, presence and absence. In the film's dramatic conclusion, English class is now being temporarily taught by Nolan, who has the boys read from the very Pritchard essay they had ripped out at the start of the film. It symbolizes the triumph of the traditional logocentric society. However, influenced by Keating's unconventional attitudes, ultimately Welton Academy will be changed as it is embodied in its closing scene.
