  • The theory of signal detection has been applied to a wide range of practical situation for a long time, including sonar detection, air traffic control and so on. In general, in this theory, sensitivity parametric index d' and bias parametric index $\beta$ are used to evaluated the performance of vigilance. These indices use observer's response "hit" and "false alarm" to explain and evaluate vigilance, but not considering reaction time. However, the reaction time of detecting should be considered in measuring vigilance in some supervisory tasks such as unlimited monitoring tasks (e.g., supervisors in nuclear plant). There are some researchers have used the segments of reaction time to generate a pair of probabilities of hit and false alarm probabilities and plot the receiver operating characteristic curve. The purpose of this study was to develop a quantitative vigilance-measuring model by fuzzy sets, which combined the concepts of hit, false alarm and reaction time. The model extends two-values logic to multi-values logic by membership functions of fuzzy sets. A simulated experiment of monitoring task in nuclear plant was carried out. Results indicated that the new vigilance-measuring model is more efficient than traditional indices; the characteristics of vigilance would be realized more clearly in unlimited monitoring task.

  • The generation of isolated grids by pulsed converters with characteristics close to the mains of the utility companies is a pretentious task. For generation of three-phase four-wire isolated grids are presented possible topologies and the demands on the system control are processed. For control of all conceivable load and error conditions, an extensive control technology is necessary. This must permit unsymmetrical operating conditions for an unlimited period but recognize errors simultaneously and therefore an overloading the consumer and the power semiconductors reliable may prevent. Measurement results on an experimental plant show the problems to be solved.

  • Due to the convergence of broadcasting and communications, IPTV services are spotlighted as the that next-generation multimedia services. IPTV services should have functionality such as unlimited channel capacity, extension of media, QoS awareness and are required increasing traffic and quality control technology to adapt the attributes of IPTV service. Consequently, flow based quality control techniques are needed. Therefore, many studies for providing Internet QoS are performed at IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force). As the buffer management mechanism among IP QoS methods, active queue management method such as RED(Random Early Detection) and modified RED algorithms have proposed. However, these algorithms have difficulties to satisfy the requirements of various Internet user QoS. Therefore, in this paper we propose the Flow based AQM(Active Queue Management) algorithm for the multimedia services that request various QoS requirements. The proposed algorithm can converge the packet loss ratio to the target packet loss ratio of required QoS requirements. And we present a performance evaluation by the simulations using the ns-2.

  • The construction of an experimental nonlinear structural model with little cost and unlimited repeatability for vibration control study represents a challenging task, especially for material nonlinearity. This paper reports the design, analysis and vibration control of a nonlinear structural experiment platform with adjustable hinges. In our approach, magnetorheological rotary brakes are substituted for the joints of a frame structure to simulate the nonlinear material behaviors of plastic hinges. For vibration control, a separate magnetorheological damper was employed to provide semi-active damping force to the nonlinear structure. A dynamic neural network was designed as a state observer to enable the feedback based semi-active vibration control. Based on the dynamic neural network observer, an adaptive fuzzy sliding mode based output control was developed for the magnetorheological damper to suppress the vibrations of the structure. The performance of the intelligent control algorithm was studied by subjecting the structure to shake table experiments. Experimental results show that the magnetorheological rotary brake can simulate the nonlinearity of the structural model with good repeatability. Moreover, different nonlinear behaviors can be achieved by controlling the input voltage of magnetorheological rotary damper. Different levels of nonlinearity in the vibration response of the structure can be achieved with the above adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control algorithm using a dynamic neural network observer.

  • Robotics and artificial intelligence are components of IT that involve networks, electrical and electronic engineering, and wireless communication. We consider an algorithm for efficient navigation by building a precise map in a multi-robot system under conditions of limited and unlimited communications. The basis of the navigation algorithm described in this paper is a wave algorithm, which is effective in obtaining an accurate map. Each robot in a multi-robot system has its own task such as building a map for its local position. By combining their data into a shared map, the robots can actively seek to verify their relative locations. Using shared maps, they coordinate their exploration strategies to maximize exploration efficiency. To prove the efficiency of the proposed technique, we compared the final results with the results in $Burgard^{8}$ and $Stachniss.^{9-10}$ All of the simulation comparisons, which are shown as graphs, were made in four different environments.

  • This paper considered the measures of securing political neutrality of the prosecutor on the reform of the prosecution. The nation's prosecution has enormous authority. In the meantime, the prosecution enjoyed unlimited power uncontrolled with investigative rights, prosecution monopoly, and police investigation command. No other country has as much power as the Korean prosecution. However, the prosecution, which enjoys such power, is placed on the task of reforming the prosecution due to poor democratic control. Has there been such a prosecutor in Korean history who only looks forward and wields long sword ehrflqtjdrhk against corruption in power? So far, the prosecution has conducted investigations that suit the administration's taste, and the prosecutors have been on the rise in return. That is why the previous administrations tried to ensure the political neutrality of the prosecution. As such, We would like to consider legal logic to analyze the sincerity of the prosecution reform. To this end, the first is to consider the authority of prosecutors and prosecutors. Second, consider the internal requirements of the government's reform of the prosecution. Third, establish the direction of prosecution reform.

  • A recent rapid change in society drives the colleges and universities into the unlimited competition for satisfying users' demand. The introduction of customized educational system is one of the survival strategies of university that reflected this characteristic. The result of a research on the customized curriculum of the dental hygiene study shows that the managers of dental hospitals and clinics think that the dental assistance field is dental hygienist's major task. On the other hand, though the dental hygienists think that the oral health education is the main task, they just comply with the intention of managers of the dental hospitals and clinics in reality. Hence, the reinforcement of the practicum in the industry field is required to meet the demand from the industry. And there is also a need to offer an opportunity of self-realization through work life by allowing dental hygienists to have stable status within dental hospitals and clinics with enhanced education and training on preventive dental treatment and oral health.

  • The convergence of media poses serious challenges to technologies, industries and policy makers. At the core of the challenges lies a socially and culturally problematic condition of 'media unlimited.' Under the circumstances, the idea of public interest of the media seems to lose its intervening leverage as it flounders in countering 'the media torrent' rushing from the exponential growth of ICTs that overwhelms contemporary life and society. It is an urgent task for the critical community to blaze fresh new thoughts about the idea to intervene in the current age of media excess. Beyond the conventional content-conduit-centered perspective on the media, this study suggests a media-environment concept based on media ecology as an engaging leverage to replenish the public interest idea. The environmental approach to the media means literally to conceptualize the media as environment--a cultural eco-system. This study explores the potential of ecological approach in enriching the conceptual terrain of policy discussions and policy-making processes concerning the public interest idea that hopefully enlightens all the media actors concerned.
