This study presents an algorithm to select the best alternative plane among various bridge superstructure types(Steel box girder, Rational girder, PSC-I girder) using Value Engineering(VE). Economical efficiency, landscape, constructability, maintenance, stability, function of bridge superstructure were taken into consideration in the designing of bridge. Economical efficiency was evaluated for each alternative plan with optimal design considering Life Cycle Cost(LCC). Repair and rehabilitation histories and some factors were set to get reasonable results. In the application of Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), consistency of Pairwise Comparisons Matrix was evaluated and the best plan was determined.

This paper introduces the development and current prosperity of the branch discipline of visual anthropology and describes the status and current situation of modern visual anthropology and analyzes the rationality that the achievements of visual anthropology is viewed as texts and enjoy the same achievements, making it more basis and scientific in the selection of visual anthropology in subsequent research. This article comprehensively uses Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process to construct an evaluation system of visual anthropology, as well as put forward the basic principles of screening films using this evaluation system in subsequent studies and a simple outlook for future expansion.

The intention of the study is to understand a characteristics of 'Campus core' in university campus and to verify the connection and hierarchy of exterior space in campus masterplan. This study concludes that 'Multi-nuclei structure', is where a single campus core was subdivided into several service cores, is an integral part of campus masterplan in process of expansion from campus core and the changing exterior space, by in-depth case analysis of Seoul Women's University Campus.

In this study, 15 evaluation questions about light were developed and presented to 30 middle school students, and then the theory of knowledge space was used to analyze the status of the middle school students' knowledge about light. Not only was the state of the students' knowledge about light intended to be measured by schematizing the knowledge hierarchy obtained; the data obtained were also intended to be used as basic materials to improve the teaching methods used. To achieve the purpose of this study, the evaluation results, the individual knowledge state, and the hierarchy of questions were analyzed. As a result, different knowledge structures were found in the individuals and groups, and it was determined that individuals and groups should be diagnosed differently. In addition, the implication that there is a connection between each question and the individual knowledge state was drawn.

The amount of incoming e-mails is increasing rapidly due to the wide usage of Internet. We often group e-mails into categories for maintaining e-mail efficiently. However reading the email messages and classifying them is still tedious task. Moreover, the number of e-mails and manual classifying is increasing everyday. So, automatic e-mail classification is important techniques. In this paper, we propose a multi-way e-mail classification method that uses PCA for automatic category generation and dynamic category hierarchy for re-organizing e-mail categories. It classifies a huge amount of receiving e-mail messages automatically, efficiently, and accurately.

Many domestic studies related to service quality are performed but the study on computing Service Quality Score is not yet activated. Because Service quality measurement plays an important role in assessing service performance and diagnosing service problems, it is very important that service quality is measured exactly. Therefore this study offered realistic approach method for computing Service Quality Score by using T.L. Saaty's Analytic Hierarchy Process technique. That is, Service Quality Score of this study is computed by using customer's priority(weights) for five dimensions(Tangible, Reliability, Assurance, Responsiveness, Empathy). This method is more realistic than the existing method computed by an arithmetical average of dimension's variables.

Network convergence is considered as one of the key solutions to the problem of achieving future high-capacity and reliable communications. This approach overcomes the limitations of separate wireless technologies. Efficient interface selection is one of the most important issues in convergence networks. This paper solves the problem faced by users of selecting the most appropriate interface in the heterogeneous radio-access network (RAN) environment. Our proposed scheme combines a hierarchical evaluation of networks and game theory to solve the network-selection problem. Instead, of considering a fixed weight system while ranking the networks, the proposed scheme considers the service requirements, as well as static and dynamic network attributes. The best network is selected for a particular service request. To establish a hierarchy among the network-evaluation criteria for service requests, an analytical hierarchy process (AHP) is used. To determine the optimum network selection, the network hierarchy is combined with game theory. AHP attains the network hierarchy. The weights of different access networks for a service are calculated. It is performed by combining AHP scores considering user's experienced static network attributes and dynamic radio parameters. This paper provides a strategic game. In this game, the network scores of service requests for various RANs and the user's willingness to pay for these services are used to model a network-versus-user game. The Nash equilibria signify those access networks that are chosen by individual user and result maximum payoff. The examples for the interface selection illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

The purposes of this study were to (1) identify the evaluation categories, areas, attributes, and criteria of the school food service program using both a qualitative and a quantitative analyses, (2) define the relative importance of the evaluation categories, areas, attributes, and criteria of the school food service program using analytic hierarchy process, (3) organize the evaluation system to improve quality of the school food service in Korea. A survey was conducted from August to October 2004 to collect data from 172 dietitians, 15 school food service officials at the educational board, 10 professionals of school food service. Statistical analyses were performed on the data utilizing the SPSS 12.0 for Windows and Excel, such as Descriptive statistics and analytic hierarchy process was performed. The result of the analytic hierarchy process indicated that relative importance of evaluation category was 0.4319 (food service manage ment), 0.2369 (nutrition education), 0.1455 (satisfaction) and 0.0912 (parent involvement program). 'Sanitation, safety and facility (0.1739)' was the most important area among the subcategories of food service management, followed by nutrition management (0.1581), procurement (0.1375), production (0.1345), organization and personnel management (0.0662), planning (0.0644), food service evaluation (0.0585), financial accountability (0.0555), and information management (0.0554). There existed a relative importance on the three areas of the nutrition program and satisfaction evaluation category: students (0.5281, 0.6221), parents (0.1812, 0.1491), and teachers (0.1838, 0.1618). In the parent involvement program evaluation category, relative importance of committee and monitoring management was 0.4658 and information communication was 0.3724. The quality of food and service to school children can be improved by the appropriate application of the developed evaluation tool for the school food service program.

본 연구는 지붕방수공법 선정에 계층분석기법을 적용하여 의사 결정하는 과정을 제안하는 것이 목적이다. 지붕방수공법에 대한 경험에 대하여 본 연구에서 설계 전문가, 시공 전문가, 그리고 유지관리 전문가 그룹에 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사의 첫 번째 계층은 성능, 경제적, 그리고 유리관리 측면으로 구성하였고, 설문의 두 번째 계층은 13개 항목으로 구성하여 Expert Choice를 이용하여 순위를 계산하였다. 설문 분석결과 각 전문가들은 다른 선택을 하였는데, 모든 분야의 전문가는 방수성능 측면을 가장 중요시 하는 것으로 나타났다.
