  • Recently, the need of the future education in youth and univesity is rapidly increasing according to 4th industrial revolution. However, the maker and design education as a kind of youth and university future education has the following problems: it is implemented as an interesting convergence education including software education, it is managed by integrating youth and university competencies, it is composed in the form of blended class of consilient subject and nonsubject, it requires considering satisfaction in competency measurement and management, it is connected with entering school and getting job. To solve these problems, a case study on competency-based maker and design education using marine robot, which is based on the process-based learing method, integrated competency of youth and university, blended-type curriculum in terms of online and offline, is executed. To verify the competency-based maker and design education, the satisfaction survey in subject and nonsubject is performed. Study results show the example of the marine robot-based maker and design education and the need for additional study.

  • Background & Objectives: Rising concerns about patient safety and looming health provider shortages were generating new recognition for an old idea. Interprofessional education means that two or more professions learn with, from and about other to improve collaboration and the quality of healthcare. The University of British Columbia established the College of Health Disciplines in 2001 to examine the merits of interprofessional health education. The objective of this study was to review UBC's interprofessional health education and to introduce the theoretical framework of interprofessional education for collaborative patient-centered practice. Methods: This study was conducted with the materials relevant to the interprofessional education. We reviewed the journals and Web site for this subject and we obtained interview data from administrators in the University of British Columbia, College of Health Disciplines. Results: We introduced interdisciplinary education for collaborative patient-centered practice model. It is assumed valuable model in preparing the interprofessional education as well as theoretical framework for implementation. We preseuted the example for interprofessional education of the College of Health Disciplines, University of British Columbia. Conclusion: We need to introduce the interprofessional education at the health care departments of University or College in Korea.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of educational satisfaction on the school conversion intention according to the quality of university education service. To survey the perception of students majoring in Department of Beauty on both colleges and universities of beauty education, we distributed 600 questionnaires and utilized them as final analysis data except for 60 unreturned or defective papers. As a result of t-test and one-way ANOVA, there were differences among university education service quality, education satisfaction and school transfer intention. In addition, the effect of the quality of education service on the education service, the effect of the quality of education service on the school conversion intention, and the quality of the university education service influenced the school conversion intention. The results of this study suggest that, for the development of the beauty education, priority should be given to the facilities and equipments related to the beauty education as well as the importance of leadership and professional teachers and instructors.

  • The purpose of this study is to inspect the case of university convergence education on elderly education. The Center for Academic Continuing Education (ZAWiW) at Ulm University in Germany aims to inquiry the diversity and differentiation of university and related institutions for senior education by analyzing the linkages between various major areas related to the subject of the elderly and cooperation models between generations. Various topics related to research and life in the elderly are being conducted with a focus on the participation of elderly learners. Through seasonal academy and Ulm 3rd Generation University, connection between regions and universities and interdisciplinary convergence are being actively provided. It can lead to a differentiated strategy of the university for the education of the elderly.

  • The purpose This study was conducted to explore the procedures and plans to establish a university-based lifelong education support system for the individuals with disabilities at Chosun University. The research method consisted of expert consultation. Chosun University not only has various units of major(department) that can deepen and integrate knowledge and technology related to lifelong education for the individuals with disabilities, but also has various leadership and various infrastructures that can lead the practice of lifelong education for the individuals with disabilities in Gwangju and Jeonnam areas. The contents of this study were presented five procedures and plans such as the establishment of maintenance and convergence of majors (departments) units, the development and operation of department-led regional-linked education programs through extracurricular education, the introduction of majors in connection with extracurricular education program-linked courses, the selection of core departments, the establishment of cooperative courses between university and graduate schools, and the establishment and operation of lifelong education programs for the individuals with disabilities centered on lifelong education centers. As a result of the study, it was analyzed that the academic foundation of lifelong education for the individuals with disabilities, the guarantee of educational opportunities for the individuals with disabilities, and the lead of linkage between local related organizations can be expected through the establishment of the support system for lifelong education for the individuals with disabilities at Chosun University.

  • The thermal conductivity and the adhesive properties were measured, after synthesis of thermal conductive composite which was obtained as a result of mixing alumina or graphite with acrylic adhesive synthesized by UV polymerization. The adhesive properties of the composite were evaluated measuring the peel strength at 180 degrees, the retention, and the initial tack;the thermal conductivity was estimated using laser flash analysis. As the filler contents increased, a decrease in peel strength and initial tack and an increase in retention and thermal conductivity were observed. When compared to alumina, the adhesion of graphite showed a dramatic decrease, whereas the thermal conductivity was further enhanced. It was found out that the small size of graphite increased the mechanical interlocking between the polymer and the filler, and it was easier for graphite to come into contact with other graphite in the matrix.

  • The values and methods of mathematics education which mathematics teachers tried to impart to their students have varied historically according to the situations of each institution. The cases of the mathematics education in Cambridge University and University College, London show that the peculiar meanings or values of mathematics education were transmitted on students and the methods or focus of the teaching were uniquely determined under the influences of university examinations or conditions of students. In specific, the characteristic education of Augustus De Morgan who studied in Cambridge University and then taught in University College, London reveals better the different institutional contexts. In this paper, I suggest mathematics teachers reconsider mathematics learning motivations on their institutional contexts.
