  • This study was intended to empirically examine the influence that the omni-channel brand experience would have on omni-channel brand relationship formation and achievements. All hypotheses were adopted, except for 1 hypothesis(Hypothesis 5), among 12 hypotheses. Specific results were as below: First, omni-channel brand experience had a positive(+) influence on brand trust(Hypothesis 1), brand identification(Hypothesis 2), and consumer-brand relationship(Hypothesis 3) as a whole. The brand trust had a positive(+) influence on brand identification(Hypothesis 4), but did not have statistically significant influence on consumer-brand relationship(Hypothesis 5). Meanwhile, brand identification had a positive(+) influence on consumer-brand relationship(Hypothesis 6). Second, consumer-brand relationship had a positive(+) influence on re-purchase intention(Hypothesis 7), word-of-mouth intention(Hypothesis 8), and brand extension acceptability(Hypothesis 9) as a whole. Finally, omni-channel brand showed the following relationship with and achievements. re-purchase intention had a positive(+) influence on both word-of-mouth intention(Hypothesis 10) and brand extension acceptability(Hypothesis 11) while word-of-mouth intention had a positive(+) influence on brand extension acceptability. The results of this study may provide theoretical and practical implications for marketing managers' understanding and strategy planning in connection with consumer experience and relationship formation promoted recently by omni-channel brands of distribution companies.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of image of brand origin on brand related variables in the formation of attitude or loyalty of global brand, We tried to identify more influential relationships through sub-variables such as brand familiarity, brand identification, and brand attitude. This study presents the following results and implications. It is shown that the manufacturing ability image has no direct effect on brand identification, but the general image has a direct positive effect on brand identification. In addition, the manufacturing capability image and general image of brand origin have indirect effects on brand familiarity through brand identification without directly affecting brand familiarity. In addition, consumers are more likely to be more familiar with brands that they think are consistent with their own images, maintain a good attitude, and be more likely to be loyal to brands. Brand familiarity had a positive effect on brand attitude but not on brand loyalty. Familiarity showed a positive attitude, but it did not necessarily lead to strong repeat purchase or purchase.

  • Purpose: Companies in haste for higher consumers' preference tend to appear as 'green' and mislead about environmental concerns, which are termed as "Greenwashing." The purpose of the study is to investigate the consumer perception on greenwashing activities and analyze its impact on green brand image, green brand loyalty and green brand trust among Indian consumers. Design/methodology: The study makes use of a written questionnaire method to collect survey data from approximately 500 consumers all over India. The study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to study the hypothesized relationship between constructs affected by greenwashing based on consumer perspective in the Indian context. Findings: The study shows that Indian consumers are becoming aware of greenwashing activities, which have a negative impact on green brand trust and undermines green brand image and green brand loyalty. Implications: The study results are beneficial to policy-makers, researchers, practitioners, and managers to create awareness among Indian consumers on greenwashing activities.

  • Purpose - As the importance of salesperson attitudes and behaviors enhancing customer perception and loyalty have increased, many retail companies put emphasis on internal marketing activities. The issue also has captured the interest of academics, but most of the previous research tends to be limited to investigating antecedents of salesperson job satisfaction and commitment. Based on the consumer-brand relationship concepts, this study aims to examine the effects of the salesperson-brand relationships on customers' service evaluation and store loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology - In a structural equation model, it is hypothesized that salesperson brand identification influences salespersons' brand trust and affect, which are the two dimensions of consumer-brand relationships. Salespersons' brand trust and affect are expected to increase salespersons' customer orientation, which in turn influences customers' service evaluations and store loyalty. To test this hypotheses a set of data collected from department stores in Seoul is utilized. Results - First, it was found that salesperson brand identification is a significant antecedent to salespersons' brand trust and affects, the two dimensions of salesperson brand relationships. Second, salespersons' brand trust and affect were found to enhance salespersons' customer-oriented behaviors. Third, salespersons' customer orientation showed a significant effect on customers' service evaluation. When a salesperson makes more effort to provide useful information for fulfilling customer needs, customers evaluate the salesperson's service more positively. Finally, customers' service evaluation had a positive impact on customers' store loyalty. Conclusions - This study provides significant academic and practical implications. First, based on the theory of consumer-brand relationships, the concept of salesperson-brand relationships was introduced and found to be an effective motivator of salespersons' customer oriented attitudes and behaviors. Therefore, the two dimensions of brand relationships, brand trust and affect, should be considered as the critical factors both in developing theoretical research and improving long-term company performance. Also, internal marketing activities should focus on maximizing employees' brand identification. That is, retail companies need to put emphasis on sharing their brand values and personality with internal customers to strengthen the brand relationships with salespersons and to enhance customer responses.

  • The aim of this study was to measure the brand images of contract foodservice management companies by identifying brand image attributes and then developing a measurement scale to measure the weight of these attributes. The measurement scale was developed by following a 5-stage process that included face-to-face interviews with experts, literature review, questionnaire surveys, verification of scale validity, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. A total of 137 items measuring brand image were collected: 37 items from studies of brand image and corporate image, 55 items from studies of contract foodservice management companies and 45 items from the internet and websites of contract foodservice management companies. A survey was then conducted to assess the validity and reliability of the questionnaire items. Ultimately, the 137 items were reduced to 40 items. The calculated Cronbach's alpha for the 40 brand image items was 0.934, demonstrating good internal consistency. Based on exploratory factor analysis (EFA), employee attitude, menu content, corporate image, dining location and ambience, along with 33 subattributes, were identified as brand image attributes. Employee attitude was the most significant attribute influencing brand image. After confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and a review process, four brand image attributes and 33 subattributes were finalized and incorporated into the scale.

  • Consumers attribute human personality to products or stores as well as brands. As brand personality is imprinted to a consumer's mind, in e-commerce, the concept of store personality needs to be examined by comprehending the e-brand personality. Unlike the recent studies that focus primarily on the portal site, we attempt to identify e-brand personality of online shopping malls that sell fashion products. This study also examined the impact of the parent company's attributes on e-brand personality. A survey was conducted to 240 females and 240 males in their 20s or 30s. E-brand personality of three different types of the Internet shopping mall was evaluated by 160 respondents, respectively. As a result, we found that Internet shoppers perceive that e-brands have four distinct personality dimensions: young, reliable, sophisticated, and creative. Among the four dimensions, "young" and "reliable" showed the most significant influence on intention to visit the shopping mall site. Besides, e-brand personality varied with parent companies' attributes such as reputation, credibility, and fashion industry-relatedness. Especially, credibility of the parent company showed a strong positive relationship with e-brand personality.
