이산코사인변환을 이용한 단위근 검정 (A Unit Root Test via a Discrete Cosine Transform)

  • 이 논문에서는 이산코사인변환(discrete cosine transform) 계수를 이용하여 AR(1) 과정에서 단위근을 검정하는 방법을 소개한다. 제안하고자 하는 방법의 이론적 타당성을 보이기 위해 정상 AR(1) 과정과 확률보행과정 하에서의 이산코사인변환 계수의 통계적 성질을 비교한다. 비교 결과를 이용하여 단위근 여부를 확인할 수 있는 검정통계량을 제안하고 붓스트랩을 활용하여 검정통계량의 분포를 유도한다. 모의실험을 통해 기존 Dickey-Fuller 검정과 검정력 비교를 실시하였다.

  • In the analysis of time series it is an important issue to determine whether a time series under study is stationary. For the test of the stationary of the time series the Dickey-Fuller (DF) type tests have been mainly used. In this paper, we consider the regular unit root tests and seasonal unit root tests based on the generalized Durbin-Watson (DW) statistics when the errors are independent. The limiting distributions of the proposed DW-type test statistics are the functionals of standard Brownian motions. We also obtain the finite distributions and powers of the DW-type test statistics and compare the performances with the DF-type tests. It is observed that the DW-type test statistics have good behaviors against the DF-type test statistics especially in the nonzero (seasonal) mean model.

ECU 품질 개선을 위한 Accelerated Run-in Test 설계 및 효과고찰 (Design and Application of Accelerated Run-in Test for ECU Quality Improvement)

  • Modern vehicle has a lot of ECU(Electronic Control Unit) products to control many parts such as engine, transmission, brake, body and so on. ECU quality is one of important factors related to vehicle quality and driver's safety. Based on Bath-tub curve which presents failure rate during product lifetime, we designed and applied Accelerated Run-in Test into manufacturing line by simulating stress amount to ECU and developing the required software and efficient test equipment for mass production. This test makes ECU products stressed through electrical and thermal stresses under excessive driving condition, which induce potential initial failure of components in the ECU during production. The outcome until these days proved that Acceleration Run-in Test have reduced initial failure rates and increased quality of ECU products in the field outstandingly.

  • We consider nonstationary autoregressive autoregressive process with infinite variance of error. In the case of infinite cariance, the limiting distribution of the estimated coefficient is different from that under the finite cariance assumption. In this paper we show that the bootstrap method can be used to approximate the distribution of ordinary least squares estimator of the coefficient in the first order random walk process with infinite variance through some empirical studies and we suggest a test procedure based on bootstrap method for the unit root test.

고온 고습하에서 CFRP 적층 원통부재의 충격 압궤특성 (A study on impact collapse characteristics of CFRP thin-walled laminates under high temperatures and hygrothermals)

  • In this study, in order to measure energy-absorbing characteristics in impact test of CFRP thin-walled laminates and interpret the cause of decreasing age when collapse test is carried out under the environments of high temperatures and hygrothermals, the moisture absorbing behavior according to the variety of orientation angle is observed and impact collapse characteristics of no moisture absorbing status is compared with that under the environments of high temperatures and hygrothermals. Especially, we try to obtain quantitative design data to develop CFRP thin-walled laminates with energy characteristics of optimum impact absorbing. The value of the maximum loading, mean loading, rate of energy absorption energy per unit volume and mass in CFRP thin-walled laminates on the high temperatures and hygrothermals is measured much lower than under no moisture absorbing. The maximum collapse loading in dynamic impact test is taken measurements lower than in static collapse test CFRP circular laminates in high temperatures and hygrothermals. But the absorbed energy per unit mass and volume is almost same each other and the biggest amount of energy is shown in CFRP circular laminates with orientation angle of $15^{\circ}$. Therefore, in the case of using CFRP circular laminates with axisymmetric mode, CFRP thin-walled structural members with orientation angle of $10^{\circ}$, $15^{\circ}$ has generally best condition.

  • This paper describes the result of structure analysis and load test of torque arm for driving gear unit. The purpose of the analysis and test is to evaluate an safety which torque arm shall be considered fully sufficient rigidity so as to satisfy proper system function under maximum load. Driving gear unit consist of gearbox and torque arm. Both components, torque arm is significant component subjected to the vehicle and motor loads. The evaluation methode is used the FEM analysis, static and fatigue test. The test results have been very safety and stable for design load conditions.

Robust Unit Root Tests with an Innovation Variance Break

  • A structural break in the level as well as in the innovation variance has often been exhibited in economic time series. In this paper we propose robust unit root tests based on a sign-type test statistic when a time series has a shift in its level and the corresponding volatility. The proposed tests are robust to a wide class of partially stationary processes with heavy-tailed errors, and have an exact binomial null distribution. Our tests are not affected by the size or location of the break. We set the structural break under the null and the alternative hypotheses to relieve a possible vagueness in interpreting test results in empirical work. The null hypothesis implies a unit root process with level shifts and the alternative connotes a stationary process with level shifts. The Monte Carlo simulation shows that our tests have stable size than the OLSE based tests.

Hydrographic Model Test on Prevention against Vortex Occurrence for Vertical Bulb Turbine

  • A vertical bulb turbine unit with elbow type draft tube has been developed due to avoidance of complicated assembling and long standstill period at overhaul in comparison with conventional horizontal bulb turbine unit. Before designing the prototype vertical bulb unit, a hydrographic model test was carried out to establish the ideal design concept for this innovative generating unit. Froude similarity is not available for vortex occurrence. Consequently, an intake structure without air entraining vortices under all the flow conditions is developed, and it is confirmed that the surge wave at load rejection is not affected harmful influence for other constructions.

Evaluation Criteria of Reliability on Transmission Control Unit for Passenger Car

  • There has been a recent upsurge in demand for the improvement of car reliability in the Northern American which is the primary market of South Korea automobile industry. It has been required that the warranty for transmission control unit for passenger cars directly related to passenger safety or security should be extended for 10 years and 160,000 km. In this paper, the test method for reliability and evaluation criteria is presented to evaluate the reliability on the automatic transmission controller. Reliability certification test can be roughly divided into two types: a quality test and life assessment test and a quality test can be subdivided into a basic performance test and environmental resistance test. There are 3 types of tests on the performance test for automatic transmission controller and environmental resistance test is composed of 14 items. Life test is performed with only the product passed this quality test. In this study, operation limit test at the high-temperatures, accelerated life test under specific temperature and accelerated life test for 2 or 3 stress levels are shown as a way for life test.

UML 기반 점검 프로그램 설계 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Architecture of Test Program based UML)

  • 본 논문에서는 하드웨어 장비의 성능 및 기능을 검증하기 위한 방법으로 시험장비와 하드웨어 장비간의 연동시험을 하기 위한 점검 프로그램 설계 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 점검 프로그램은 장비 스트레스를 최악의 조건에서 기능을 검증하여 사전에 고장 유무를 확인하고 수리함으로써, 비행체에 탑재하여 발생하는 고장률을 최소화하는 방안이다. 그리고 UML을 이용하여 객체 지향적으로 소프트웨어를 설계함으로써 다른 장비에 쉽게 적용할 수 있다. 점검 프로그램은 Architecture package와 Hardware package로 구성되어 있다. Architecture package는 시스템 관리, 로그분석, 메시지 수신 및 분석하는 역할을 한다. 시스템 관리에서 사용하는 메시지는 점검하기 위한 정보를 정의하고, 정의된 메시지는 이더넷으로 시험장비와 송수신한다. Hardware package는 점검해야 하는 하드웨어 및 시스템 관련 하드웨어를 관리하는 역할을 한다. 점검해야 하는 하드웨어는 내부 점검과 송수신 점검으로 구별되어 있다. 내부 점검은 하드웨어 자체적으로 점검하여 그 결과를 시험장비로 전송하는 방법이다. 송수신 점검은 통신디바이스 점검으로써 데이터를 전송하거나 수신하여 점검하는 방법이다. 모든 점검은 병렬적으로 점검함으로써 최악의 조건에서 장비의 고장유무를 확인한다. 시험한 결과는 약 1시간 동안에 디바이스들은 적게는 482번에서 많게는 15003번 점검하는 것을 확인하였다. 점검 프로그램은 하드웨어 장비의 신뢰성을 검증하는 환경/EMI 시험에 사용한다.
