  • Currently energy use planning council system is mandatory especially for the urban development project planned on a specified scale or more. The goal of existing demand prediction was to calculate the maximum load by multiplying energy load per unit area by building size. The result of this method may be exaggerated and has a limit in the information of period load. The paper suggests a new forecasting process based on standard unit household in order to upgrade the limit in demand prediction method of multi-family housing complex. The new process was verified by comparing actual using amount of multi-family housing complex to forecasting value of energy use plan.

X-Ray Security Checkpoint System Using Storage Media Detection Method Based on Deep Learning for Information Security

  • Recently, as the demand for physical security technology to prevent leakage of technical and business information of companies and public institutions increases, the high tech companies are operating X-ray security checkpoints at building entrances to protect their intellectual property and technology. X-ray security checkpoints are operated to detect cameras and storage media that may store or leak important technologies in the bags of people entering and leaving the building. In this study, we propose an X-ray security checkpoint system that automatically detects a storage medium in an X-ray image using a deep learning based object detection method. The proposed system consists of an edge computing unit and a cloud-computing unit. We employ the RetinaNet for automatic storage media detection in the X-ray security checkpoint images. The proposed approach achieved mAP of 95.92% on private dataset.

  • Unlike price calculation by cost accounting, which categorizes costs into material costs, labor costs, and miscellaneous expenses to determine the construction budget price, construction cost calculation based on Construction Standard Unit Prices utilizes unit prices extracted from market prices of items from projects already completed to estimate costs of similar construction projects. Although unit price information is collected through construction site surveys to revise these construction standard unit prices every year, but due to the limitations of the site survey method, it is difficult to quickly implement the rapid changes in the construction methods and market prices. As such, an important issue that arose was the identification of work items whose prices need urgent revision. This study conducted research on factors that need to be considered when developing online survey system for monitoring construction site market prices. This study is expected to enhance convenience for users, and provide an efficient data collection and management system for administrators.

  • Apartments have been the most prevalent type of housing in Korea for the past few decades. During those times, apartments have emerged as one of the most attractive real estate properties in Korea, with the still growing population living in them. Now that over twenty years have passed since the 1970s and 1980s when apartment construction started booming, building stocks are increasing that need refurbishment. In this concern, apartment extension has raised public interest for the past few years, as the remodeling of them has mainly been considered in terms of increasing asset value in Korea. It comes through in our study that these extension types are examined by such items as building core types, number of rooms and front and rear bays in unit, and other design features related to extension techniques. The objective of this study is to suggest a way to produce the best quality possible of unit plan through extension.

패스트트랙 환경에서 FAB신축을 지원하는 BIM기반 AR 시스템 개발 (AR system for FAB construction management using BIM data under fast track condition)

  • New Fabrication Facility (FAB) construction is performed with Building Information Modeling (BIM) based design. The BIM design data keep updated during the FAB construction. To improve fast-track construction management, a Fabrication Facility Augmented Reality (FABAR) was developed. This study introduces a FABAR system development process and shows performance evaluation results of the FABAR prototype system. The FABAR is implemented with three major modules: Augmented Reality (AR) visualization unit (Room-box) to transfer big BIM data to AR data, AR registration and tracking unit to match AR with real scape and to keep AR coordination in real, and AR data management unit to enhance usability. The prototype performance results were as follows: visualization of design BIM data via AR within 24 hours, precise AR registration and tracking registration, and appropriate usability to support FAB construction management at site. The results indicate that the FABAR is applicable for FAB construction management. Especially, the BIM data transformation method using Room-box in this study signifies a new construction management approach using fluctuating BIM design data in the fast track construction condition.

교량 유지관리비용 분석을 위한 대표 보수보강 비용모델 개발 (Development on Repair and Reinforcement Cost Model for Bridge Life-Cycle Maintenance Cost Analysis)

  • 교량관리시스템(Bridge Management System, BMS)을 활용한 교량의 생애주기 관리를 위해서는 교량의 부재별 보수보강 비용 산정이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 BMS에 적용 가능한 체계적인 유지관리 비용 모델의 개발을 위하여 교량을 구성하는 대표 부재를 정의하고, 대표 부재별 세부 및 대표 보수보강 공법을 도출하였다. 세부 보수보강 공법별 단가를 산정하기 위해 표준 품셈과 실적 공사비를 이용해 각 세부 보수보강 공법별 일위대가를 구성하고, 적산 프로그램을 활용하여 보수보강 단가의 갱신이 용이하도록 체계적인 절차를 제시하였다. 또한 세부 보수보강 공법별 단가와 적용 빈도를 고려해 가중 평균 형태로 대표 보수보강 공법의 평균 단가를 산정하였다. 도출된 평균 단가를 기존의 실적 비용 단가와 비교 검증하여 적정성을 검토하였다. 제안된 평균 보수보강 비용 단가는 교량 유지관리 계획 수립 단계에서 요구 예산의 타당성을 검증하거나 보수보강 실적 비용의 적정성을 검토하는 데 활용될 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해 유지관리 비용 정보의 신뢰도와 의사결정의 합리성을 증진시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

공종별 특성을 고려한 대·소규모 공사의 실적공사비 비교 및 보정방안 (A Compensation Method and Comparative Analysis of Historical Unit Price Considering Work Types for Large and Small-Scale Projects)

  • 현재 실적공사비 단가는 한국건설기술연구원에 의해 발표되고 있으며, 대규모 공사에서 수집된 공사비 자료를 분석하여 작성되고 있다. 따라서 소규모 공사의 경우 현행 실적공사비 단가를 적용함에 있어 불합리한 문제점이 발생하고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 분석하기 위해, 본 연구에서는 대 소규모 토목, 건축, 기계설비공사에 대한 실적공사비를 상호 비교하였다. 그 결과, 소규모 공사의 실적공사비는 대규모 공사에 비해 평균적으로 26.6%가 높음을 확인할 수 있었다. 한편, 노무비에 의한 대 소규모 공사의 실적공사비 차이는 18.4%이고, 재료비 경비에 의한 차이는 8.18%인 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 본 연구에서는 이를 시정하기 위한 소규모 공사의 실적공사비 보정방안을 제안하였다.

도로 종류와 도로생애주기별 탄소배출량, 에너지소모량 및 비용에 대한 거시적 분석방법 (Macro-level Methodology for Estimating Carbon Emissions, Energy Use, and Cost by Road Type and Road Life Cycle)

  • PURPOSES : The authors set out to estimate the related carbon emissions, energy use, and costs of the national freeways and highways in Korea. To achieve this goal, a macro-level methodology for estimating those amounts by road type, road structure type, and road life cycle was developed. METHODS : The carbon emissions, energy use, and costs associated with roads vary according to the road type, road structure type, and road life cycle. Therefore, in this study, the road type, road structure type, and road life cycle were classified into two or three categories based on criteria determined by the authors. The unit amounts of carbon emissions and energy use per unit road length by classification were estimated using data gathered from actual road samples. The unit amounts of cost per unit road length by classification were acquired from the standard cost values provided in the 2013 road business manual. The total carbon emissions, energy use, and cost of the national freeways and highways were calculated by multiplying the road length by the corresponding unit amounts. RESULTS: The total carbon emissions, energy use, and costs associated with the national freeways and highways in Korea were estimated by applying the estimated unit amounts and the developed method. CONCLUSIONS: The developed method can be employed in the road planning and design stage when decision makers need to consider the impact of road construction from an environmental and economic point of view.

포인트그룹 이론을 이용한 대칭적 건물 평면형태의 최적대안 결정방안 (The Optimization Method of Symmetrical Building Plan Using Point Group Theory)

  • The symmetry is general geometric design principal in contemporary architecture shape. But, Symmetry sometimes easily causes unreasonable design. In some reason, two of symmetric units in the apartment, one side of unit have very reasonable plan and arrangement but opposite side unit nay not. For example, if the kitchen on right unit had right-handed arrangement, the symmetrical other would have left-handed kitchen arrangement. In addition to this, if each house unit has the same plan but different direction, each unit has different usage or affects the residents' life pattern. Nevertheless, Architects use only one unit plan to design public housing development by using symmetric operator (mirror, proper rotation, inversion center) at their option. This study suggests that using group theory and mathematical matrix rather than designer's discretion can solve this symmetry problem clearly. And, this study analysis the merits and demerits between each symmetrical pair of unit plan shapes by using mathematical point group theory and matrix.

BIM 기반 1인 가구 모듈러 공동주택 유닛 개발 (Development of Modular Apartment Unit for Single Person Household Based on BIM)

  • 현대 사회에서는 1인 가구가 증가하고 주거 공간에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있으며 이에 대한 적절한 대안 모색이 중요하다. 빠른 시간 내에 경제적이고 지속 가능한 주거 공간을 제공하기 위한 방법으로 모듈러 건축이 주목받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 BIM(Building Information Modeling) 기술을 활용한 모듈러 건축 유닛 설계 및 시공 과정 최적화 방법을 제안한다. 1인 가구의 주거 요구사항과 삶의 질 향상을 위한 요인을 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 BIM을 활용하여 효율적이고 경제적인 모듈러 공동주택 유닛을 개발하였다. BIM은 건축 요소의 시각화 및 상호 연결을 제공하여 설계 과정의 오류를 최소화하고 생산성을 향상시킬 수 있다. 모듈러 건축의 장점과 한계를 평가하였다. BIM을 활용한 모듈러 건축물은 주거 문제를 해결할 수 있는 효과적인 대안으로 제시될 수 있으며 주거 공간의 품질과 다양성을 높일 수 있다. 다만 기술적 요구사항 및 비용 등의 한계도 고려되어야 한다. BIM 기반 1인 가구 공동주택 유닛 설계의 가능성과 장점을 제시하고 1인 가구 개선을 위한 실질적인 해결책으로 활용될 수 있다.
