  • In this paper, we propose the development of high-sensitivity low-end radiation measuring sensor module. The proposed measurement sensor module is a scintillator + photomultiplier(SiPM) sensor optimization structure design, amplification and filter and control circuit design for sensor driver, control circuit design including short-distance communication, sensor mechanism design and manufacturing, and GUI development applied to prototypes consists of, etc. The scintillator + photomultiplier(SiPM) sensor optimization structure design is designed by checking the characteristics of the scintillator and the photomultiplier (SiPM) for the sensor structure design. Amplification, filter and control circuit design for sensor driver is designed to process fine scintillation signal generated by radiation with a scintillator using SiPM. Control circuit design including short-distance communication is designed to enable data transmission through MCU design to support short-range wireless communication function and wired communication support. The sensor mechanism design and manufacture is designed so that the glare generated by wrapping a reflective paper (mirroring) on the outside of the plastic scintillator is reflected to increase the efficiency in order to transmit the fine scintillation signal generated from the plastic scintillator to the photomultiplier(SiPM). The GUI development applied to the prototype expresses the date and time at the top according to each screen and allows the measurement unit and time, seconds, alarm level, communication status, battery capacity, etc. to be expressed. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed system, the results of experiments conducted by an authorized testing institute showed that the radiation dose measurement range was 30 𝜇Sv/h ~ 10 mSv/h, so the results are the same as the highest level among products sold commercially at domestic and foreign. In addition, it was confirmed that the measurement uncertainty of ±7.4% was measured, and normal operation was performed under the international standard ±15%.

  • This study proposes a deep learning algorithm to predict crop yield using GIS (Geographic Information System) to extract soil properties from Soilgrids and soil suitability class maps. The proposed model modified the structure of a published CNN-RNN (Convolutional Neural Network-Recurrent Neural Network) based crop yield prediction model suitable for the domestic crop environment. The existing model has two characteristics. The first is that it replaces the original yield with the average yield of the year, and the second is that it trains the data of the predicted year. The new model uses the original field value to ensure accuracy, and the network structure has been improved so that it can train only with data prior to the year to be predicted. The proposed model predicted the yield per unit area of autumn cabbage for kimchi by region based on weather, soil, soil suitability classes, and yield data from 1980 to 2020. As a result of computing and predicting data for each of the four years from 2018 to 2021, the error amount for the test data set was about 10%, enabling accurate yield prediction, especially in regions with a large proportion of total yield. In addition, both the proposed model and the existing model show that the error gradually decreases as the number of years of training data increases, resulting in improved general-purpose performance as the number of training data increases.

  • With the enactment and enforcement of the 「Public Records and Archives Act」, the Tottori Prefectural Archives newly enacted the "Records Management Ordinance" through a comprehensive review of the previous archive function. In accordance with this ordinance, which came into effect in April 2012, Tottori Prefecture expanded the records management institutions (Public Security Committee and Police Headquarters, etc.) A series of archive systems were improved, such as the expansion and reinforcement of the authority to appraisal and select. In addition, the Tottori Prefectural Archives went further and implemented the "Ordinance on the Preservation of Historical Documents, etc." from April 2017. Through this, the municipalities unit basic local government's record management support work was set as a unique function of the local archive, and a linkage and cooperation system was established for the preservation of private records of the prefecture area as well as the basic local area together with cultural heritage institutions such as museums and libraries. As a reference case that continuously guarantees the performance of various activities based on the mission and vision of the local archives in Korea that aim for 'autonomy of records' on the poor archival culture soil, it is worth paying attention to the case of continuous record management reform of the Tottori Prefectural Archives through the enactment of the original role and function of the archive.

  • Layout work for building structures requires high precision to construct structural elements in the correct location. However, the accuracy and precision of the layout position are affected by the worker's skill, and productivity can be reduced when there is information loss and error. To solve this problem, it is necessary to automate the overall layout operation and introduce information technology, and layout process automation using construction robots can be an effective means of doing this. This study develops a prototype of an automated layout robot for building structures and evaluates its basic performance. The developed robot is largely composed of driving, marking, sensing, and control units, and is designed to enable various driving methods, and movement and rotation of the marking unit in consideration of the environment on structural work. The driving and marking performance experiments showed satisfactory performance in terms of driving distance error and marking quality, while the need for improvement in terms of some driving methods and marking precision was confirmed. Based on the results of this study, we intend to continuously improve the robot's performance and establish an automation system for overall layout work process.

  • Objectives : Angelica Gigantis Radix is prescribed as the root of different Angelica species on the pharmacopoeia in Korea, Japan and China. Chemical components and their biological activities were also different according to their species. A study for the development of simple method to compare Angelica roots was needed. In order to classify them, the methods such as DNA sequencing analysis and taste sensor were applied to three Angelica species like Angelica gigas, Angelica acutiloba and Angelica sinensis. Methods : PCR amplification of intergenic transcribed spacer (ITS) region was performed using ITS1 and ITS4 primer from nine Angelica roots, and then nucleotide sequence was determined. Taste pattern of samples were measured using the taste-sensing system SA402B equipped with a sensing unit, which consists of artificial lipid membrane sensor probes of anionic bitterness, astringency, saltiness, umami, and cationic bitterness (C00, AE1, CT0, AAE, and AN0, respectively). Results : As a result of comparing the similarity of the ITS region sequences, A. sinensis was discriminated from the others (A. gigas and A. acutiloba). Equally this genetic result, A. gigas and A. acutiloba showed similar taste pattern as compared to A. sinensis. Sourness, bitterness, aftertaste of bitterness, astringency, and aftertaste of astringency of A. sinensis were significantly high as compared with A. gigas and A. acutiloba. In contrast, richness was significantly low. Conclusions : These taste pattern can be used as a way of comparison of Angelica species and this technic could be applied to establish a taste pattern marker for standardization of herbs in various purposes.

  • Recently, due to the personalization and customization of data, Internet-based services have increased requirements for real-time processing, such as real-time AI inference and data analysis, which must be handled immediately according to the user's situation or requirement. Real-time tasks have a set deadline from the start of each task to the return of the results, and the guarantee of the deadline is directly linked to the quality of the services. However, traditional container systems are limited in operating real-time tasks because they do not provide the ability to allocate and manage deadlines for tasks executed in containers. In addition, tasks such as AI inference and data analysis basically utilize graphical processing units (GPU), which typically have performance impacts on each other because performance isolation is not provided between containers. And the resource usage of the node alone cannot determine the deadline guarantee rate of each container or whether to deploy a new real-time container. In this paper, we propose a monitoring technique for tracking and managing the execution status of deadlines and real-time GPU tasks in containers to support real-time processing of GPU tasks running on containers, and a node list management technique for container placement on appropriate nodes to ensure deadlines. Furthermore, we demonstrate from experiments that the proposed technique has a very small impact on the system.

  • This paper introduces research on the hinge joint of modular structure joints using finite element analysis. The modular structure has a characteristic in that it is difficult to expect the integrity of columns and beams between unit modules because the construction is carried out such that the modules are stacked. However, the current modular design ignores these structural characteristics, considers the moment transmission for the lateral force, and analyzes it in the same manner as the existing steel structure. Moreover, to fasten the moment bonding, bolts are fastened outside and inside the module, resulting in an unreasonable situation in which the finish is added after assembly. To consider the characteristics that are difficult to expect, such as unity, a modular structure system using hinge joints was proposed. This paper proposed and reviewed the basic theory of joints by devising a modified scissors model that is modified from the scissors model used in other research to verify the transmission of load when changing from the existing moment junction to a hinge junction. Based on the basics, the results were verified by comparing them with Midas Gen, a structural analysis program. Additionally, the member strength and usability were reviewed by changing the modular structure designed as a moment joint to a hinge joint.

  • The New Excellent Technology (NET) designation system, introduced in 1989 for the purpose of promoting the development of domestic construction technology and enhancing national competitiveness, reviews the statement of construction cost of new technologies. And the cost reduction effect such as design, construction, and maintenance cost and the effect of reducing the construction duration are evaluated as an evaluation criteria of economic feasibility. However, in this evaluation process, differences of opinion between the institution of construction cost estimating standard management and the new technology developer about unique technologies frequently occur. In addition it is difficult to objectively compare the construction duration with existing similar technologies because there is no information on productivity as the current cost estimating standards for new technologies only present the required amount per unit quantity. In this study, the current state of cost estimating criteria review procedure, evaluation criteria, and cost estimating standards establishment method were analyzed when screening for the designation of a new construction technologies, and compared with overseas cost estimating standards, measures to improve the cost estimating standards of current construction new technologies were suggested. Through the improved cost estimating standards of this study, it is expected that cost information on new technologies will be provided to clients in more detail than the current ones, and the availability and applicability of new construction technologies would be improved by simplifying the construction cost calculation process more.

  • The Green Purification Unit System (GPUS) is a green infrastructure facility applicable to the roadside to reduce particulate matter from road traffic. This study introduces two types of GPUS (type1 and type2) and assesses the performance and maintenance costs of each of them. The GPUS's performance analysis used the data collected in November 2021 after the installation of the GPUS type1 and type2 at the study site in Suwon. The changes in the particulate matter concentration near the GPUS were measured. The maintenance cost of GPUS type1 and type2 was assessed by calculating the initial installation cost and the management and repair cost after installation. The results of the performance analysis showed that the GPUS type1, which was manufactured by combining plants and electric dust collectors, had a superior particulate matter reduction performance. In particular, type1 produced a greater effect of particulate matter reduction in the time with a high concentration (50㎍/m3 or higher) of particulate matter due to the operation of electric dust collectors. GPUS type2, which was designed in the form of a plant wall without applying an electric dust collector, showed lower reduction performance than type1 but showed sufficiently improved performance compared to the existing band green area. Meanwhile, the GPUS type1 had three times higher costs for the initial installation than GPUS type2. In terms of costs for managing and repairing, it was evaluated that type1 would be slightly more costly than type2. Finally, this study discussed the applicability of two types of GPUS based on the result of the analysis of their particulate matter performance and maintenance cost at the same time. Since GPUS type2 has a cheaper cost than type1, it could be more economical. However, in the area suffering a high concentration of particulate matter, GPUS type1 would be more effective than type2. Therefore, the choice of GPUS types should rely on the status of particulate matter concentration in the area where GPUS is being installed.
