This study is to suggest data for setting school uniform size with the size satisfaction degree through finding out the physical body change and uniform size problems following an increase in age during middle school girl days. For this purpose, by analyzing the physical body size data of 13~15 age of girls among $\ulcorner$human body size data of the youth for product design$\lrcorner$publicized under sponsorship of National Technology Quality Institute in 1999 the physical body size change by part following an increase in age during middle school girl days was found out and the most frequent physical body size by grade was suggested. Questionnaire about uniform production status and product size at the object of uniform makers were measured directly, a school uniform wearing status and size satisfaction degree by part were at the abject of middle school girls were examined by means of questionnaire and unsatisfactory factors in uniform size were found out. Based on collected data the most optimum product size in each part by item were suggested. The method of suggesting the most optimum size suitability by item was decided based on the result of survey into corresponding title and product size by maker and that of survey into the size satisfaction degree of middle school girls by maker, and the product size of maker showing the highest size satisfaction degree was selected as the most optimum product size.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the wearing situation and satisfaction of school uniforms with the middle and high school boys and girls, who have been in uniforms for one or more years. The subjects for the survey were a total of 560 from the 2nd and the 3rd grade of the middle school, and the 1st and the 2nd grade of the high school. The survey was performed with the questionnaire of 60 questions; 36 questions related to the actual status, such as the purchase, size, repair, and design of a school uniform, and 24 questions related to satisfaction. The results were as follows; 1. Regarding the school uniform purchase, middle school students attached importance to famous brand, while high school students valued design above everything else. The students confused with the school uniform sizing systems were 82.1 % and 72.5 % in middle and high school students. 2. 43% of middle school students and 34% of high school students had experiences of repairing their school uniforms. Regarding the reason for repair, the size misfit was the highest. Boys preferred a single breasted boxy jacket with middle hip line length, and straight trousers, and girls preferred a fitted jacket of waist line length, and flare skirt of the knee line length. 3. School uniform satisfaction score showed that students were not satisfied with their school uniforms so much. Middle school students had significantly lower satisfaction about the design and psychological protection than high school students. Even though high school students showed lower satisfaction about the price and the care of school uniforms, there were no significant differences between them.
This study aims to the recognize the importance of uniform design and provide empirical data to companies after getting the effects of uniform design in cosmetics companies on service quality perception and customer satisfaction. For this, a preliminary survey was conducted against 30 college women (aged 20s) from 'K' University, and effective samples were obtained from 250 people. In terms of a research method, collected data were coded and analyzed using SPSS. The respondents' characteristics were analyzed using descriptive statistics. For reliability analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was used. For a validity test, factor analysis was performed. In addition, correlation analysis was carried out to examine multicollinearity among variables. The analysis results found that the characteristics of uniform design have a positive effect on service quality and customer satisfaction. Among the characteristic of uniform design, however, functionality wasn't confirmed in a relational test. This kind of result was obtained because the uniform was mostly analyzed from customers' perspective, not from the wearer's standpoint. It is expected that the study results would be helpful in establishing brand identity through the improvement of the importance of uniform design.
This study was performed for 235 caddies of 5 membership golf clubs in Jeonnam area to find out their attitude and usage, satisfaction and preference on uniforms $1^{st}\;to\;15^{th}$ February 2007. The result of the study could be summarized as fellows. First, 69.7% of them affirm in the inquiry of 'to feel belong' and 'to tell from others', but they showed low affirmation in other inquiries. In the case of satisfaction of wearing uniforms, they show low satisfaction in most categories such as design, color, materials, activity, and symbol. Second, the most favored color coordination is the two color coordination in the upper and bottom uniform, and the fevered design pattern is the no-pattern one with single color. The favored uniform constitutes a jacket and a trouser in spring through fall, and a parka long enough to hip line, a polo neck, a vest, and a trouser in winter Third, activity is the most important considering factor in the choice of uniform and is also the most improve-wanted factor in the presently wearing uniform. The most important factor in the characteristic of material is absorption of sweat, but there is especially high dissatisfaction in absorption. It shows that there are demands of functional design considering caddies' working environment and activities. Differentiated from other normal uniforms, the uniform should be improved for caddies to develop their specialty and to feel wearing satisfaction.
The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for improvement in worker's uniform in both scientific and efficient ways. To make this procedure right, we brought the focus of the study into the present condition of working uniform in various machinery plants. The study was enforced by questionnaire and personal interview. The subjects of the survey were the 264 workers working in mechanical industry in Seoul. The results obtained from the researches by methods above are as follows. The level of satisfaction, on the whole, with their uniforms failed to reach the average level with the result of 2.97. The reason would be they have not been very contented with colors and materials. The level of satisfaction of color was only 2.76, far less reaching the average score 3. In detail, they complained color is dull, dark, too much solid and outdated. Surprisingly, the level of satisfaction with materials turned out to be really low as the materials used get dirty easily, doesn't draw moisture away from the skin quickly transport to surface making wearer more comfortable and doesn't have plenty of air moving out. According to statistics of population, the level of satisfaction of uniform on the whole differed from the point of age, gender, categories of industry, one's professional experience and income level.
The purpose of this study was to provide Apparel Industries producing the school uniform with the information on manufacturing the school uniform, and the students with the information of reasonable life of garments. Differences of reforming condition and satisfaction of the school uniform have been researched. The data were collected from 764 middle and high school girl students living in Daegu. Except for psychological aspect of wearing the uniform, most of satisfaction of wearing the uniform in the survey has been studied as lower ones. in line with these, overall improvement of aesthetic, economic, handling, class symbolic, movable aspects are requested to meet the needs of the students. A majority response of reforming the school the uniform once have come from middle school students, and another response of reforming the uniform twice coming from high school students are as follows : fitness of the uniform, trend, movability, expression of personality, and those of high school students are fitness of the uniform, expression of personality, trend, movability. Opportunities to have an education on how to wear school uniform appropriately have not been offered to students, and a number of the students in the survey have replied that they need to have adequate school uniform wearing education.
This research is aimed at analyzing the evaluation for the design and satisfaction/unsatisfaction of the autumn and winter school uniform targeting junior students and sophomore students at academical and vocational high schools located in Ulsan, Korea. For this research, SPSS 12.0 was used to measure the frequency and the t-test analysis of 396 data. The results of this study are as follows. The most important factor of autumn-winter school uniforms was heat-retainment. It was showed significant differences between sphere and grade. They also answered body shape' faults and figure emphasis as the most distressed factors. In the design of the school uniform, It was not show significant differences between sphere and grade. They considered the silhouette when they worn the school uniform as the most important factor. The primary factors in purchasing a uniform appeared to be price. Repair experiences after purchasing a school uniform found to count more among students. Examination about transformed parts of uniforms for the students with experiences in uniform modification showed that many students in the academic sphere modified length and width of upper wears, and length of skirt, while many students in the vocational sphere modified waist and hip. Junior grade than sophomore grade appeared to have modified in all parts.
This study was aimed at investigating the satisfaction in relation to clothing design and size-fit for nurse uniform in Korea. The subjects were 986 female nurses working in 12 hospitals selected by convenience sampling. The data were collected by questionnaires. Using SPSS package, frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA and SNK test were conducted. The results were divided into 2 categories as fellows; 1) Results of the satisfaction with the size-fit and size system of the nurse uniforms : Nurses satisfied at the individual size-fit system than ready-made size system. There was a considerable difference of the satisfaction with the size-fit depending on age and clinical career. And more than half of nurses were needed the concrete and precise size system. 2) Results of the actual design condition and clothing satisfaction : Nurses wore two-piece pants suits more than classical designed one-piece style. The princess-line, convertible collar and yoke design were preferred for nurse uniform with the high satisfaction. 41.6 percent of respondents used the cap obligatory and the white color and a patterned textile were generally used. The used fabrics were only polyester and cotton/polyester mixed spinning.
The purpose of this study was to provide information on how to improve both the satisfaction and the current sizing system for the school uniform focused on middle and high school boys' students. In order to collect the data, a questionnaire was administered to 451 middle and high school boy students. 228 middle school boys' and 223 high school boys' data were analyzed using the SPSS Win. 10.0 program. The results of this study were as follows : 1. For the satisfaction of their school uniform, there were statistical differences in mean of the group by the academic year in the jacket(color, textile, design, activity), shirt(color, design, activity), and pants(color, design, activity) in the case of middle school boys'. On the other hand, high school boys' evaluation of school uniform was significantly different in jacket(color), shirt(color, textile, design, activity), pants(design), and tie(color, textile, design) by the academic year. 2. For the evaluation of sizing fitness, the length of jacket and the breadth of sleeve in jacket, and the width of sleeve in blouse, the length of pants, and the width of pants were statistical differences in mean of the group in middle school boys' by the grade whereas there was no significant difference in high school students by the grade. 3. It was shown that more getting school uniform repaired after the point of purchase in both middle school and high school students was higher.
The purposes of this study were 1) to identify gender differences of high school student's uniform satisfaction, clothing interests, and self-concepts among high school students and 2) to examine the relationships among self-concepts, clothing interests, and school uniform satisfaction. The questionnaire was distributed to 832 high school students, male and female, in Kangwon Province. Data were analyzed by frequency, 1-test, and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. The results of this study were as follows: There was no gender difference on self-concepts between male and female high school students. However there were gender differences on clothing interests and school uniform satisfaction between male and female students. Results provided implications for high school uniform and adolesent clothing.
