지하상업공간의 이용 활성화를 위한 조명계획에 관한 연구 (A Study on the lighting Plan to Facilitate Underground Commercial Area)

  • In case of commercial area of underground commercial area that occupy large amount of space among underground space, the lighting plays a very important role in terms of user's psychological and physiological side. The purpose of this research is to suggest the direction of lighting design of underground commercial area for revitalization of urban function. Spacial scope of this research were adjusted as 8 underground commercial area in Seoul. Scope of content of this research is about lighting plan of underground commercial area. Research methods are as follows: First, we identified the psychological and physiological problem of the underground space which appears in preceding research and the literature. In order to make the design element which is necessary to an underground space it executed this research method. By this research method we made the design element which is necessary to an underground space. Second, Through site visits, illumination level and lighting plans were studied by each category. Third, we presented the direction of illumination plan of each space in underground commercial area We could conclude a conclusion as following through this research. First, lighting plan of underground commercial area should solve user's psychological, physiological problems and should take advantage of the traits of each space. Second, the usage of space of underground commercial area changes as time pass, a lighting plan is needed in order to cope with this. Third, a lighting plan is needed for user's rest within underground commercial area. Fourth, detailed lighting plan is needed for space users of underground commercial area.

From Fragmented Development to Three-Dimensional and Coordinated Development - Research on Renewal Strategies of Existing Underground Commercial Space in Harbin

  • In Harbin, a network of underground commercial spaces has been developed to occupy spaces that were originally created as civil defense shelters. With the gradual extension of the local metro rail system, the existing underground commercial space is no longer an isolated regional development, but a space that represents "three-dimensional city" and coordinated development taking place in many Chinese cities. Based on the analysis of the unique development process taken in underground space of Harbin, this paper summarizes three characteristics of its early model of "fragmented development" of underground space. By conducting a comprehensive field research and survey, the researchers analyzed 472 questionnaires related to the development trend, and proposed multi-level synergistic elements for the renewal and development of underground commercial space. The paper concludes by discussing the trend of "three-dimensional and collaborative development," suitable for the development needs of the new era, and the corresponding development strategies for the renewal of underground space.

  • This paper presents an evaluation of the interruption costs for commercial customers in Korea using customer survey methodology. When various research results are examined, the evaluation of direct interruption costs becomes much more simplified. Especially, in the case of commercial customers, it is known that the evaluation of direct interruption costs is more useful. Accordingly, this paper selected the customer survey method to evaluate the interruption costs for commercial customers in Korea considering interruption and customer characteristics.

  • Dark and desolate underground parking spaces in commercial facilities are optimal spaces for crime. First, this study reviewed 15 precedent CPTED guidelines and related literatures, and as a result extracted 45 CPTED planning criteria for underground parking facilities. Secondly by field survey, we investigated six parking spaces in commercial facilities whether they were planned properly based on 45 checklist items, in six categories of CPTED principles. In result, target facilities showed average 46.8% relevance ratio, which means less than a half of 45 items of CPTED planning factors were not applied. Guidelines suggest desirable illuminance level of more than 100 lux, however the measurement of illuminance levels in some parking spaces showed below 50 lux. Relatively department stores were keeping CPTED guidelines better than large discount mart and mixed used facilities. Definition of territory of loading dock and customer area should be clarified, clear signage and color scheme in different zones should be represented with higher level of territorial responsibilities and surveillance in mixed used facilities for further improvement.

지하상업공간에서 천창의 효과에 대한 연구 - 일본 지하가 근무자를 중심으로 (A study on the effects of skylight in commercial underground space - with focus on the employees of underground streets in Japan)

  • 본 연구는 지하공간에서 천창이 갖는 실증적인 의미를 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 기술성능, 기능성능, 행태성능으로 구성된 29개의 설문문항을 도출하였다. 또한, 천창이 있는 지하가와 천창이 없는 지하가와의 비교를 통해 천창의 의미가 분명하게 드러날 것이라는 가정 하에, 일본의 지하가 중 천창이 설치된 3개의 지하가와 천창이 없는 3개의 지하가를 연구의 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 기술통계분석과 빈도분석을 실시하였고 각각의 차이 분석을 위하여 독립표본 T-검정을 실시하였으며 개선우선순위 도출을 위하여 상관분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 지하상업공간에서 천창은 내부에서의 시간감과 이미지성에서 그 효과가 확실한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 지하상업공간의 질적인 측면에서도 중요한 순기능을 발휘하는 것으로 분석되었다. 마지막으로 천창이 없는 3개 지하가에 대한 개선순위는 표지/안내도, 공간의 다양성, 유지관리, 휴게공간, 바닥디자인 등의 순서로 도출되었다. 천창이 있는 3개 지하가에 대한 개선순위는 휴게공간, 공간의 다양성, 온습도, 공기, 유지관리 등의 순서로 도출되었다.

지하상업공간의 환기계수 및 화재하중 분석 (An Analysis of the Fire Load and Ventilation Factor in Underground Commercial Space)

  • The purpose of this study is to obtain the fire safety for underground commercial space with analysing fire loads and ventilation factors. It was adopted the investigation method of field survey with commercial uses for more confidential data. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; 1) The ventilation factor shows $0.04{\sim}0.24m^{1/2}$ and it may develop ventilation-controlled fires which have much fire hazard more than fuel-controlled fires. 2) The highest value of fire load is $158.48kg/m^2$ and appeared in footwear shop which has the value $137.35kg/m^2$ for unfixed combustibles and $21.13kg/m^2$ for fixed combustibles. 3) The average value of burning rates which mean the velocity of fire development and the fire damage range is 0.143. Therefore it is desired to decrease the combustibles of compartment and is needed the method of dispersion arrangement of goods and storage to steel cabinet and so on.

  • Underground passage shopping center which is one of the underground space is a public facility. Therefore, underground passage shopping center needs physical environment that everyone (such as ordinary adults, seniors, disabled and ETC) could use it without any difficulties. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the application of universal design into main entrance space of underground passage shopping center. The scope of this research was adjusted as 8 underground passage shopping centers that are located in Seoul. Spacial scope of the research was set as public space such as main entrance space, slope way, stairway of underground passage shopping center and the content of scope of this research was the application of universal design. The conclusion of this research is as following. First, public space of underground passage shopping center needs physical environmental improvement for the convenient usage for seniors and disabled. Second, the application of universal design is needed for public space for shelter and rescue of underground passage shopping center. Third, Underground passage shopping center needs a plan to minimize the safety infringement of user by commercial activity of stores in it.

경남지역 지하생활공간 중 미량 유해물질인 포름알데히드의 농도 분포 특성 (Characteristics of Formaldehyde Concentrations in the Underground Spaces in Gyungnam Province)

  • The purpose of this research is to characterize formaldehyde as trace toxic air pollutant in the underground spaces in Gyungnam province. Air samples of formaldehyde were taken in the three underground spaces for ten months from April 2003 to January 2004. The IAQ(Indoor Air Quality) of underground spaces were controled using central ventilation(supply/exhaust) system. The levels of GM of airborne formaldehyde concentrations in three sampling spaces were well below applicable standards, Korean Ministry of Environment, 0.1 ppm. However, some sample of airborne formaldehyde concentrations in underground spaces 'B' and 'C' were in excess of standard, due to the commercial products in shop, structural material, and the climate having high humidity and temperature. There are statistical differences in levels of formaldehyde by sampling spaces (p=0.086).

  • 본 지하 공간은 대도시에 남아있는 가용성 높은 공간으로서 효율적, 집약적 토지 이용을 위한 중요한 요소이다. 특히, 지하도 상가는 물리적 기능과 상업적 기능을 동시에 충족시키며, 도심의 활성화를 이룩할 수 있는 수단으로 그 활용도가 매우 높다. 하지만 기존에 개발된 지하도 상가는 노후화 등 복합적인 원인으로 인해 지하 상권의 침체를 가져왔다. 이에 지하도 상가 활성화를 위한 대안을 제안하여 지하 상권의 활성화에 기여하고자 본 연구를진행하였다. 부산지역 지하도 상가 7개소를 공간적 범위로 대인 면접 설문 조사를 진행하여 이용자가 느끼는 지하도 상가 만족도 결정요인 및 개선사항을 파악하였다. 순서형 로짓모형을 통해 위 설문내용을 실증분석하였다. 실증분석 결과, 서비스 만족도, 지하 환경 만족도, 공공시설 만족도, 3개 요인이 지하도 상가 만족도에 영향을 미치는 유의한 변수로 추정되었다. 이에 따라, 신규 지하도 상가 개발 혹은 기존 지하도 상가 리뉴얼 시 해당 요소들에 대한 적절한 고려가 필요할 것으로 생각한다. 이를 통해 지하도 상가 이용자의 만족감을 증대시키고, 동시에 지하상권의 재활성화가 이루어지길 기대한다.

지하도상가의 리모델링 및 공간 특성에 따른 포름알데히드 농도 분석 (Estimation of the Formaldehyde Concentration of Subterranean Shopping Centers according to their Spatial Configuration and Renovation)

  • Underground shopping center has become a important commercial facility due to their good accessibility to the public transport. However, underground shopping center has high risk of air contaminants emission like formaldehyde and lowered indoor air quality. In this study, formaldehyde concentration of the underground shopping center was estimated according to the renovation and characteristics of space. It was found that newly renovated underground shopping center has low formaldehyde concentration. In case of closed entrance type, the formaldehyde concentration was 320 % higher than open type. Formaldehyde concentration was varied by product type and especially, high formaldehyde concentration was measured near the stores selling nail polish and cosmetics. It is important to apply appropriate ventilation system according to characteristics of space.
