비정질(非晶質) 실리콘 태양전지(太陽電池)의 동작온도(動作溫度) 특성(特性) (Operating Temperature Characteristics of Amorphous Silicon Solar Cells)

  • Experimental results are discussed concerning temperature effects from $25^{\circ}C$ to $100^{\circ}C$ on amorphous silicon solar cells. N-I-P hydrogenated amorphous silicon solar cells are fabricated on stainless steel and indium tin oxide glass substrates. The open circuit voltage, short circuit current, fill factor and conversion efficiency have been measured under AM1 condition as a function of temperature. The open circuit voltage decreased by $2.6mV/^{\circ}C$ while the short circuit current increases with increased temperature. The conversion efficiency is almost independent of temperature which is contrary to widely using single crystalline solar cells of which efficiencies decrease with increasing temperature.

Effects of Plasma Treatment on the Reliability of a-IGZO TFT

  • High reliability thin film transistors are important factors for next-generation displays. The reliability of transparent a-IGZO semiconductors is being actively studied for display applications. A plasma treatment can fill the oxygen vacancies in the channel layer and the channel layer/insulating layer interface so that the device can work stably under a bias voltage. This paper studies the effect of plasma treatment on the performance of a-IGZO TFT devices. The influence of different plasma gases on the electrical parameters of device and its working reliability are reviewed. The article mentions argon, fluorine, hydrogen and several ways of processing in the atmosphere. Among these methods, F (fluorine) plasma treatment can maximize equipment reliability. It is expected that the presented results will form a basis for further research to improve the reliability of a-IGZO TFT.

Effect of Motivation Type and Reward Uncertainty on Consumers' Marketing Promotion Participation

  • The current research proposes to fill a research gap by testing how reward uncertainty, different types of motivation, as well as individual risk-taking attitude affect consumers' promotion participation. Being offered with an uncertain reward, relative to individuals with extrinsic motivation, individuals with intrinsic motivation will have greater intention to participate in marketing promotion. In contrast, being offered with a certain reward, relative to individuals with intrinsic motivation, individuals with extrinsic motivation will have greater intention to participate in marketing promotion. This effect arises only among consumers having a low level of risk-taking attitude. For consumers having a high level of risk-taking attitude, their participation intention shows no significant difference between the two motivation type groups, under both certain and uncertain reward conditions. With an understanding of how consumer's response heterogeneously to promotions involving rewards, marketers can better understand not only how to use this promotional tactic more effectively, but also how to better allocate their budget for promotions.

Flip Chip PKG 신뢰성 향상을 위한 Flux Immunity 개선 MUF 구현 방안 연구 (A Study on Flux Immunity MUF for Improving Flip Chip PKG Reliability)

  • Flip Chip 제품 난이도 증가에 따라 신뢰성 관점에서 안정적인 Package (이하 PKG) 소재 기술에 대한 관심이 점차 높아지는 추세이다. 현재 flip chip PKG의 주요 신뢰성 불량은 Sn bridge와 Cu 확산 이다. 위 2가지 형태 모두 본질적으로는 bump 주변 잔류한 flux residue에 의하여 발생한 미세 공극이 유발하는 불량이다. 이러한 형태의 신뢰성 불량 발생 문제점을 최소화하기 위해 Molded Under-Fill (이하 MUF) 소재의 핵심 조성과 flux 간 상관 관계를 검토하였다. 금번 연구를 통하여 MUF 소재의 main 구성 요소인 base resin, filler와 flux에 대한 상관 관계를 정의 하였으며, 이러한 lesson learn을 토대로 flux immunity가 개선된 MUF 소재 조성을 설계할 수 있었다. 현재 해당 소재 조성으로 흡습 신뢰성 85%/85%/24hrs 확보와 파괴 분석으로 bump 주변 미세 공극의 미 발생을 확인 하였다. 본 연구 결과는 양산 단계에서의 flip chip 공정 수율 향상과 MUF와 flux 간 상용성 연구에 대한 이해를 돕는데 기여할 것으로 예상된다.

Dynamic response of functionally gradient austenitic-ferritic steel composite panels under thermo-mechanical loadings

  • In this paper, the dynamic response of functionally gradient steel (FGS) composite cylindrical panels in steady-state thermal environments subjected to impulsive loads is investigated for the first time. FGSs composed of graded ferritic and austenitic regions together with bainite and martensite intermediate layers are analyzed. Thermo-mechanical material properties of FGS composites are predicted according to the microhardness profile of FGS composites and approximated with appropriate functions. Based on the three-dimensional theory of thermo-elasticity, the governing equations of motionare derived in spatial and time domains. These equations are solved using the hybrid Fourier series expansion-Galerkin finite element method-Newmark approach for simply supported boundary conditions. The present solution is then applied to the thermo-elastic dynamic analysis of cylindrical panels with three different arrangements of material compositions of FGSs including ${\alpha}{\beta}{\gamma}M{\gamma}$, ${\alpha}{\beta}{\gamma}{\beta}{\alpha}$ and ${\gamma}{\beta}{\alpha}{\beta}{\gamma}$ composites. Benchmark results on the displacement and stress time-histories of FGS cylindrical panels in thermal environments under various pulse loads are presented and discussed in detail. Due to the absence of similar results in the specialized literature, this paper is likely to fill a gap in the state of the art of this problem, and provide pertinent results that are instrumental in the design of FGS structures under time-dependent mechanical loadings.

지진해일파의 월파를 고려한 해안안벽의 안정성평가 (Evaluation of Stability of Quay Wall Considering Overtopping of Tsunami)

  • 본 연구에서는 월파시 해안안벽에 작용하는 지진과 지진해일의 영향에 대하여 한계평형상태해석법을 적용하여 안정성을 검토하였다. 지진해일파력에 대하여 TWOPM-3D를 적용하였으며, 특히 안벽의 뒷채움재를 투과성재료로 가정하여 지진해일파가 월파 후에 안벽배후에 작용하는 파력을 산정하였다. 그리고, 수동상태와 주동상태 조건에서 해안안벽의 안정성에 영향을 주는 요인인 지진해일파고, 뒷채움재의 수위, 수평 수직지진가속도계수, 내부마찰각, 벽마찰각, 간극수압비 등을 변화하여 활동과 전도에 대한 안벽 안전율의 변화특성을 시간에 따라 검토하였다. 이로부터 지진과 지진해일파의 작용하에 지진해일파가 안벽을 월파하는 경우 수동상태에 대한 안전율은 결과적으로 안전율을 증가시키는 요인으로 작용하는 반면, 주동상태에 대하여 결과적으로 안전율을 감소시키는 요인으로 작용함을 확인할 수 있었다.

Seismic fragility analysis of a cemented Sand-gravel dam considering two failure modes

  • Dams are vital infrastructures that are expected to maintain their stability during seismic excitations. Accordingly, cemented material dams are an emerging type, which are being increasingly used around the world owing to benefiting from advantages of both earth-fill and concrete gravity dams, which should be designed safely when subjected to strong ground motion. In the present paper, the seismic performance of a cemented sand and gravel (CSG) dam is assessed using incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) method by accounting for two failure modes of tension cracking and base joint sliding considering the dam-reservoir-foundation interactions. To take the seismic uncertainties into account, the dam is analyzed under a suite of ground motion records and then, the effect of friction angle for base sliding as well as deformability of the foundation are investigated on the response of dam. To carry out the analyses, the Cindere dam in Turkey is selected as a case study, and various limit states corresponding to seismic performance levels of the dam are determined aiming to estimate the seismic fragilities. Based on the results, sliding of the Cindere dam could be serious under the maximum credible earthquake (MCE). Besides, dam faces are mostly to be cracked under such level of intensity. Moreover, the results indicate that as friction angle increases, probability of sliding between dam and foundation is reduced whereas, increases tensile cracking. Lastly, it is observed that foundation stiffening increases the probability of dam sliding but, reduces the tensile damage in the dam body.

  • The use of Compaction Grouting evolved in 1950's to correct structural settlement of buildings. Over the almost 50 years, the technology has been developed and is currently used in wide range of applications. Compaction Grouting, the injection of a very stiff, 'zero-slump' mortar grout under relatively high pressure, displaces and compacts soils. It can effectively repair natural or man-made soil strength deficiencies in variety of soil formations. Major applications of Compaction Grouting include densifying loose soils or fill voids caused by sinkholes, poorly compacted fills, broken utilities, improper dewatering, or soft ground tunneling excavation. Other applications include preventing liquefation, re-leveling settled structures, and using compaction grout bulbs as structural elements of minipiles or underpinning. In this paper, on the basis of the case history constructed in this year, a study has been performed to analyze the basic mechanism of the Compaction Grouting. Also, the effectiveness of the ground improvement and the bearing capacity of the Compaction Pile has been verified by the Cone Penetration Test(CPT) and Load Test. Relatively uniform Compaction grouting column could be maintained by planning the Quality Control in the course of grouting. And, the Quality Control Plan has been conceived using grout pressure, volume of grout and drilling depth.

멀티미디어 트래픽을 위한 서비스 품질 보장형 망의 최선형 표준 트래픽 기술자 계산 방식 (An Optimal parameter selection Algorithm for standard-compatible traffic descriptors for multimedia traffic)

  • 인터넷 및 통신망 국제표준 단체들은 자신들의 망에서 서비스 품질 보장형 기능을 제공하기 위한 방안으로써 공통적으로 리키버킷에 의한 입력 트래픽 정의 방법을 채택하고 있다. 반면, 그동안 연구결과는 멀티미디어 트래픽의 버스트특성이 시간적으로 광범위한 준위에 걸쳐 있음을 확인하고 있다. 이러한 두개의 상반되는 현실을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 임계 시준위 개념을 사용한 표준적 트래픽 기술자계산 방법을 제안하고 이를 시뮬레이션을 통하여 분석하였다. 제안된 알고리듬은 지연치가 주어진 상태에서 최상의 성능을 얻음을 수학적으로 증명하였고, 실제 시스템 응용에 대하여 제안하였다.

Multi-constrained Shortest Disjoint Paths for Reliable QoS Routing

  • Finding link-disjoint or node-disjoint paths under multiple constraints is an effective way to improve network QoS ability, reliability, and so on. However, existing algorithms for such scheme cannot ensure a feasible solution for arbitrary networks. We propose design principles of an algorithm to fill this gap, which we arrive at by analyzing the properties of optimal solutions for the multi-constrained link-disjoint path pair problem. Based on this, we propose the link-disjoint optimal multi-constrained paths algorithm (LIDOMPA), to find the shortest link-disjoint path pair for any network. Three concepts, namely, the candidate optimal solution, the contractive constraint vector, and structure-aware non-dominance, are introduced to reduce its search space without loss of exactness. Extensive simulations show that LIDOMPA outperforms existing schemes and achieves acceptable complexity. Moreover, LIDOMPA is extended to the node-disjoint optimal multi-constrained paths algorithm (NODOMPA) for the multi-constrained node-disjoint path pair problem.
