Today's manufacturing industry is facing challenges from advanced difficult-to-machine materials (WC-Co alloys, ceramics, and composites), stringent design requirements (high precision, complex shapes, and high surface quality), and machining costs. Advanced materials play an increasingly important role in modem manufacturing industries, especially, in aircraft, automobile, tool, die and mold making industries. The greatly-improved thermal, chemical, and mechanical properties of the material (such as improved strength, heat resistance, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance), while having yielded enormous economic benefits to manufacturing industries through improved product performance and product design, are making traditional machining processes unable to machine them or unable to machine them economically. In this paper, mechanical characteristic evaluation test of fine powder type WC-Co alloy was accomplished to obtain clear data for miniaturized special die parts machining with high reliability and high quality.
There have been plenty of difficulties because properties of Alq3 are unable to acquire in a process of manufacture of OLED. In this paper it will predict a viscosity of Alq3 through DSMC technique and suggest the way regarding a study to estimate properties of material through the computer simulation. There could generate errors of a simulation process in a vacuum deposition process since the properties of material that is used in a high-degree vacuum environment are not secured. Therefore, we would like to propose the new methods that can not only predict properties of a molecular unit but also raise an accuracy of simulation process by forecasting properties of Alq3.
NIR has been extensively used to predict directly measurable properties of materials that are important to the appropriate industries. Commonly, NIR is used to perform fast, routine tests to improve control response as against the response time for the (normally chemical) base test. This paper discusses the use of NIR to measure indirect properties of materials. In these cases, the pure chemical or physical tests are either unable measure the appropriate parameters (eg GMO modification) or there are mitigating effects that are not properly addressed by the base tests. In particular, we looked at the digestible portion of amino acids within meat and bone meal. This is the desired response measurement by end-users of the product (intensive livestock producers) but is currently unable to be offered as a measurement by producers. The base test method is by controlled feeding trials. These are somewhat cumbersome, taking 2-3 months, involving several sets of animals, and considerable expense. A shortened test (feed trial based) would be of little use, as the precision blows out over short period feeding trials. For example, a rat ileal digestibility test requires around 2 months, and costs some $USD1000. This is clearly impractical test for a producer involved in continuous production, with a 1-2 day turn around. While the amino acid abundance is accessible chemically, the uptake of amino acids into usable material by mammalian species is not simply related to the measured abundance within the material. There are many co-related material properties that might help or hinder uptake, some chemical based (eg protein damage), some indirect (eg palatability), some physiological (intestinal tract response vs speed of throughput). We discuss the approaches taken to provide a suitable reference data set, and present the derived prediction and validation relationships.
This paper is to investigate the fire endurance of high performance concrete with the contents of cellulose fiber. According to test results, the use of CL lead to decrease in fluidity. For compressive strength, the use of CL had no influence on compressive strength. For spalling properties, plain concrete showed a severe spalling failure. The use of CL protected from spalling of concrete, but most specimens had scale failure and partial destruction of specimens. This is due to the insufficient fiber length and diameter of CL fiber, which was unable to discharging the internal vapour pressure. For this reason, CL fiber can not be used to protect from spalling oh high performance concrete. Residual strength was observed to $5\~7\%$ of original strength.

Ellagic acid (EA), an antioxidant polyphenolic constituent of plant origin, has been reported to possess diverse pharmacological properties, including anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor and immunomodulatory activities. This work aimed to clarify the skin anti-photoaging properties of EA in human dermal fibroblasts. The skin anti-photoaging activity was evaluated by analyzing the reactive oxygen species (ROS), matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2), total glutathione (GSH) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity levels as well as cell viability in dermal fibroblasts under UV-B irradiation. When fibroblasts were exposed to EA prior to UV-B irradiation, EA suppressed UV-B-induced ROS and proMMP-2 elevation. However, EA restored total GSH and SOD activity levels diminished in fibroblasts under UV-B irradiation. EA had an up-regulating activity on the UV-B-reduced Nrf2 levels in fibroblasts. EA, at the concentrations used, was unable to interfere with cell viabilities in both non-irradiated and irradiated fibroblasts. In human dermal fibroblasts, EA plays a defensive role against UV-B-induced oxidative stress possibly through an Nrf2-dependent pathway, indicating that this compound has potential skin antiphotoaging properties.
The aim of this study is to investigate problems with both fit and abrasion of golf gloves through a survey of golf usage among golfers over the age of 30, as well as by analyzing the golf glove industry with an emphasis on the size system and marketing situation. In addition, this study aims to suggest the basic raw materials for improving the design of golf gloves through physical properties inspections. The results of the analyses support the following suggestions. First of all, dissatisfaction arose from improper measurement in glove length. The survey showed that most problems occur in the pinky finger, while only the length of the middle finger of the glove is recorded based on Korean Standard Anthropometries Measurement. Clearly, proper measurements of every finger need to be included in the system. Secondly, the survey results clearly indicated regions 7(palm area) and 3(second finger area) as the areas requiring reinforcement. While the method of patching another layer with the same material is commonly used in the current glove market, materials other than genuine leather are unable to complement the abrasion. This study suggests that another layer of refill type genuine leather, which scored best in the physical properties inspection, needs to be patched onto regions 7 and 3.
The physicochemical properties of the LB films were by AFM. We give pressure stimulation into organic thin films and then manufacture a device under the accumulation condition that the state surface pressure is 2, 10, 30[mN/m]. The stable images are probably due to a s interaction between the monolayer film and substrate. We are unable to obtain molecule res in images of the films but did see a marked co between images of the bare substrate and those the network structure film deposited ont Formation that prevent when gas phase stat liquid phase state measure but Could know o matter that molecules form equal and stable when molecules were not distributed evenly, accumulated in solid state only.
Tom coagulated with $CaCl_2$ was used to make high-Ca soy milk, named tofu milk. Physicochemical analysis of regular soy milk and tofu milk adjusted at various pH and/or heat-treated was carried out. Unheated and heat treated tofu milk kept stable conoldal state at pH 8. The solubility of soy milk was low at pH 4 but increased gradually at higher pH, while mat of tofu milk was almost unchanged between pH 4 and pH 7 but increased rapid1y above pH 8. At pH 8, the viscosity of tofu milk was almost the same as soy milk, while mat of heat-heated tofu milk was much higher man that of soy milk. Especially, steamed tofu milk seemed to be a thick paste unable to drink, but autoclaved tofu milk was suitable to drink. Phytic acid content of tofu milk was somewhat lower man mat of soy milk.
This study investigated the fundamental properties and shrinkage properties of high performance concrete with water/binder ratio of 0, 30 and with combination of expansive additive and shrinkage reducing agent. According to the results, the fluidity of high performance concrete showed lower the using method in combination with expansive additive and shrinkage reducing agent than the separately using method of that, so the amount of superplasticizer increased when the adding ratio of expansive additive and shrinkage reducing agent increased. However the air content of concrete increased when used in combination with expansive additive and shrinkage reducing agent, so the amount of AE agent decreased. The compressive strength showed the highest at 5% of expansive additive, and decreased with an increase of the amount of shrinkage reducing agent. Furthermore, in order to reduce the shrinkage of high performance concrete, it was found that the using method in combination with expansive additive and shrinkage reducing agent was more effective than separately using method of that. Autogenous shrinkage was predicted using JCI model. Because JCI model is unable to consider the effect of EA and SRA, correction factor should be added to enhance the accuracy.
The Sewability was tested with the seam strength and Puckering Grade by a general sewing machine according to some properties of simulated Leather, yarn tensile strength needle and stitches. The main results tested are as follows ; 1. The thick and uncomfortable leather is unable to be sewed by a general sewing machine, but the thin and soft one is able to. 2. The interval between stitches depends on type of leather used, and the variance in accordance with type of leather varies much more in the case of narrower interval. 3. When the sewability of leather-surface is not so good, is desirable to pour oil on the surface for the purpose of better efficiency. 4. The seam strength is directly proportional to interval of stitch and tensile strength of yarn and leather used, and needle No. 14 is more effective than No.1l. 5. The more the soft and thin leather is, the lower the Puckering Grade becomes. Type of yarn and interval of stitches do not seem to effect the Puckering Grade.
