EMD를 이용한 초음파 비파괴 평가용 3차원 영상처리 소프트웨어 개발 (Development of 3D Image Processing Software using EMD for Ultrasonic NDE)

  • 본 논문은 핵발전소 증기발생기의 초음파 비파괴 검사용 프로그램 개발에 관한 것이다. 개발된 프로그램은 A, B, C, D-스캔과 같은 고전적인 해석방법뿐만 아니라 3차원 영상처리 기법을 이용하여 증기발생기 내부에 발생한 결함을 해석하고 검출할 수 있다. 결함의 3차원 영상은 핵발전소의 파이프라인으로부터 얻어진 1차원 초음파 데이터를 EMD(Empirical Mode Decomposition)로 분석해 결함의 위치를 구하고 voxel을 이용하여 구현하였다. 얻어진 3차원 영상은 2차원 해석방법을 사용하지 않더라도 결함의 위치, 형태, 크기 등과 같은 유용한 정보를 얻는데 용이하다. 개발된 프로그램은 이미 결함의 위치 및 모양, 크기 등을 알고 있는 시편의 측정에 사용하여 프로그램의 정확성을 검증하였고, 3차원 영상으로 결함의 입체적 모양을 구현하였다.

  • When a high-energy ultrasound propagates through a solid body that contains a crack or a delamination, the two faces of the defect do not ordinarily vibrate in unison, and dissipative phenomena such as friction, rubbing and clapping between the faces will convert some of the vibrational energy to heat. By combining this heating effect with infrared imaging, one can detect a subsurface defect in material efficiently. In this paper a detection of the welding defect of thin SUS 304 plates using the UIR (ultrasonic infrared imaging) technology is described. A low frequency (20kHz) ultrasonic transducer was used to infuse the welded thin SUS 304 plates with a short pulse of sound for 280ms. The ultrasonic source has a maximum power of 2kW. The surface temperature of the area under inspection is imaged by a thermal infrared camera that is coupled to a fast frame grabber in a computer. The hot spots, which are a small area around the defect tip and heated up highly, are observed. From the sequence of the thermosonic images, the location of defective or inhomogeneous regions in the welded thin SUS 304 plates can be detected easily.

Precise ultrasonic coating and controlled release of sirolimus with biodegradable polymers for drug-eluting stent

  • In the current study, a drug-eluting stent coated with biodegradable polymers and sirolimus was developed by using an ultrasonic nanocoater and characterized in aspects of surface smoothness and coating thickness. In addition, in vitro release profiles of sirolimus by changing top coating layer with different biodegradable polymers were investigated. Smooth surfaces with variable thickness could be fabricated by optimizing polymer concentration, flow rate, nozzle-tip distance, gas pressure, various solvents and ultrasonic power. Smooth surface could be generated by using volatile solvents (acetone, chloroform, and methylene chloride) or post-treating with solvent vapor. Coating thickness could be controlled by varying injection volume or polymer concentration, and higher concentration could reduce the coating time while obtaining the same thickness. The thickness measurement was the most effectively performed by a conventional cutting method among three different methods that were investigated in this study. Release profiles of sirolimus were effectively controlled by changing polymers for top layer. PLGA made the release rate 3 times faster than PDLLA and PLLA and all top layers prevented burst release at the initial phase of profiles. Our results will provide useful and informative knowledge for developing drug-eluting stents, especially coated with biodegradable polymers.

초음파법을 이용한 1Cr-lMo-0.25V강의 열화도 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Material Degradation of 1Cr-lMo-0.25V Steel using Ultrasonic Techniques)

  • It's required mechanical properties of in-service facilities to maintain safety operation in power plants as well as chemical plants. In this studdy the four classes of the thermally aged 1Cr-lMo-0.25V specimens were prepared using an artificially accelerated aging method at 630$\^{C}$. Ultrasonic tests, tensile tests, K$\_$IC/ tests and hardness tests were performed in order to evaluate the degree of degradation of the material. The mechanical properties were decreased as degraded, but the attenuation coefficient and the harmonic generation level of a ultrasonic signal were increased. Expecially the nonlinear parameter derived from the harmonic generation level is sensitive and will be a good parameter to evaluate the material degradation.

  • This paper suggested the vibration characteristic improvement by variation mode of ring type ultrasonic motor. Design for the piezoelectric ceramic and elastic body of stator were calculated by the finite element method(FEM) that consider the resonance frequency, vibration mode and coupling efficiency etc. Through the result of vibration analysis from 6 order mode to 8 mode, the 7 order mode was gained very an excellent results that it was the coupling efficient, minimum power loss and bending vibration value. Here over 7 order mode, this paper was acquired that an output current for input voltage was very a large increased results. The result of vibration calculation, from thickness 0.5[mm] to 2[mm], knew the fact that the vibration displacement at 0.5[mm] is an high value too. From such result, this paper was manufactured the ultrasonic motor of outer diameter 5O[mm] , inter 22[mm] having the about 43.86[KHz] resonance frequency. We have gated that a simulation result is 42.2[KHz] and an experiment result is 43.86[KHzl The propriety of this paper was established though comparison. investigation of simulation and experiment result.

초음파 분사 열분해 장치에서 제조된 $TiO_2/SiO_2$ 복합 분체의 UV 차단 효과 (UV Blocking Effect of $TiO_2/SiO_2$ Composite Powders Prepared by Ultrasonic Spray Pyrolysis)

  • The silica nanoparticles were used as support of catalyst, filling material, electronic assembler, thin film material, and sensor material. And, the titania nanoparticles were used as pigment, dielectric substance, sensor and photocatalyst. In this paper, the spherical composite particles of $TiO_2/SiO_2$with narrow size distribution and phase pure were synthesized by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis method from $TiOSO_4$ and colloidal silica solution. Using ultrasonic apparatus, this starting solution was vaporized to droplets, and these droplets were induced into tube furnace by carrier gas. The resulting composite powder was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, TG-DTA, in vitro sun protection factor(SPF) and BET surface area analysis.

  • This paper discribes an improved technique for locating partial discharge sites within operating transformers by ultrasonic method which utilizes the different travel times of the electrical and ultrasonic signals produced by partial discharges to determine the location of the sources. The technique was to develope the measurement system based on the enhancement of the acoustic emission signals using signal square, circuit to improve the detectable sensitivity and reliability. Also an ultrasonic pulse generator was designed and made to transmit periodically pulses equivalent to pratial discharges and to check the good performance of the system, echo effects and self-diagnosis. Through the laboratory work, it was confirmed that the system and the generator can be used satisfactorily for diagnosing power transformers and for studying echo effects and self-diagnosis of the system.
