수중 데이터 통신 시스템의 개발에 관한 연구 (I) -에코 신호 전송 시스템- (development of Underwater Data Communication System (I) -Echo Signal Transfer System-)

  • This paper describes a Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) modulator and demodulator and the experimented underwater data ommunication equipment to transfer the analog echo signal in real-time from an underwater vehicle to the mother ship. The system consists of an echo signal transfer unit equipped to the vehicle and an ultrasonic receiver equipped on the ship. The former includes an ultrasonic transceiver unit of 180kHz for echo detection and a continuous wave transmitter of 50kHz with a FSK modulator for echo transmission to the ship. The latter includes an ultrasonic receiver of 50kHz and the FSK demodulator. The results of experiment are as follows. 1. The characteristics of the FSK modulating and demodulating circuits designed with the use of C-MOS IC 4046 was good and confirmed its usefulness in underwater data communication system.2. The prototype ultrasonic transceiver unit shows profitable driving power while the pulse duration was short less than 3 msec, but it was found that the driving power is not sufficient while the long pulse duration or continuous wave is used. The gain of the ultrasonic receiver was 80 dB and the receiving bandwidth 700Hz (at - 3 dB point).3. It was found that the system designed by the author has some possibility to use in underwater echo transfer.4. At the FSK modulator, the widths of voltage and frequency which represent linearity were 3.5 V, 1600Hz, respectively, at the FSK demodulator 2.6 V, 700Hz, respectively.

순수 알루미늄 다층 박판의 Fiber 레이저 겹치기 용접 특성 (Characteristics of Fiber Laser Lap Welding of Pure Aluminum Multi-thin Plate)

  • In this study, we analyzed and compared the ultrasonic welding with the laser welding for the pure aluminium thin plates in a series of secondary lithium-ion batteries which are currently being produced by the ultrasonic welding; and performed the experiment for the purpose of the preceding study to replace the ultrasonic welding method with the laser welding method. As a result, the weld width of ultrasonic welding was 5mm, but that of laser welding was about 1~1.5 mm. As a result of tension test, the tensile strength was high when the pulse duration hour was short at the low peak power, while the high tensile strength was achieved when the pulse duration hour was long at the high peak power. The value of tensile strength was higher in the ultrasonic welding while the laser welding showed a maximum 45% better result as for the welding width.

링 프레임형 초음파 센서의 포물선 피팅에 의한 장애물 식별 (Obstacle Identification by Parabolic Curve Fitting using Ultrasonic Sensors Arranged on Ring Frame)

  • This paper proposes a new algorithm for ultrasonic sensors arranged on ring frame to identify obstacles surrounding itself by TOFs (time of flight). The ring frame has multiple channels consisting of a transmitter and a receiver. When the transmitter of a selected channel transmits ultrasonic signal, the TOFs of reflected signals from obstacles are acquired by the receiver of the channel. The process continues for all channels consecutively. Then, by using parabolic curve fitting of TOFs of all channel, the proposed algorithm not only calculates distances from multiple obstacles, but also identifies if the shape of obstacles are point or plane by the coefficients of the curve. By the experiment using 16 ultrasonic transceivers on the ring frame in the environment of two poles and two planes, we show the feasibility of the proposed scheme.

  • 본 논문에서는 수배전반 내 코로나 및 직렬아크 발생 시 나타나는 초음파 신호의 측정 및 분석에 대해 기술하였다. 휴대용 초음파 감지기는 전기 시스템에서 발생하는 코로나와 같은 방전 현상 감지에 유용하다. 그러나 일반적인 휴대용 초음파 감지기는 방전 여부에 대한 판단 결과가 사용자의 주관적 반응에 영향을 미치며, 음향 특성을 듣고 결과를 예측함으로써 문제 유형을 판별하는 것이 어렵다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 초음파 특성을 구별하는 새로운 분석 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 초음파 감지기로 측정 한 초음파 음향을 시각화하기 위한 초음파 분석 사례를 연구하였다. 실험 결과 초음파탐지계통은 외부소음의 영향을 받지 않고 배전반에서 코로나 및 직렬 아크 방전을 검출할 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, ultrasonic range finding module for the self-contained robot, INHAE-1, is presented. This system is processed, using Z-80 microprocessor, a much of information on the surrounding condition in real time and is realted a sensor for many side data acqusition with a stepping motor. Also this system can obtain the more correct edge of the obstacle using the standard deviation of the least-square method. In this experiment, it gives more correct information to mobile robot of the blind guidance and improves the orientation of the robot path.

  • 최근 미세접합 기술이 다양한 사회에서 주목받고 있다. 미세접합 기술은 레이저 접합 초음파 접합 등이 있다. 그러나 미세 접합의 연구가 많이 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 초음파 접합장치 구동 시 열평형 상태에서 압전소자에 열영향을 최소화하기 위해 냉각관을 설계하였다. 또한 냉각관이 설계된 초음파 접합 장치를 이용하여 접합 실험을 실시하였다. 다꾸찌 실험계획법을 이용하여 실험을 실시하였으며, 기초실험을 통해 공정변수와 반응 변수를 설정하였다. 접합 실험의 신뢰도를 검증하기 위하여 접합 계면의 미세조직을 관찰하였고, 인장실험을 통해 접합 강도를 확인하였다.

  • This paper proposes virtual-magnetic system by a force-reflecting interface to drive a ultrasonic motors(USMs) To approach virtual magnet in graphic the 6 dDOF force-reflecting interfaces provides force feedback to users as if I is magnetic-force, So users can feel real magnet Effectively to display the magnetic-force we need the interface with specific characteristics such as low inertia almost zero friction and very high stiffness As an actuator for the interface the USMs have many good advantage satisfied these conditions over conventional servo motors. To estimate capability of this virtual-magnetic system we did an experiment of magnetism based on coulomb's law when Coulmb's low apply this experiment it is vey conformable to real magnet

  • In this paper, it is fundamental purpose that finding the relationship between quality and structure of bone, by reconstructing the bone structure image, using ultrasound. In this study, longitudinal transmission method was used for experiment as basic measuring method, which is known as ultrasonic diagnosis method for human tibia. And using ultrasonic velocity parameter that can be detected and calculated with the transmitted signal, new estimated parameter, called Bone Area Fraction, is applied to reconstruct image. Through the in-vitro experiment in cattle's tibia bone, basic sectional image of bone which is similar in real bone structure image can be reconstructed.

  • Centrifugally Cast Stainless Steel generally shows similar structure to the weld in austenitic stainless steel in the point of casting. When examining this material ultrasonically, the beam does not generally propagate straightforward but rather deviates from its original direction and this phenomenon called skewing is originally caused by anisotropic material. In order to calculate the beam skewing effect theoretically, work has been performed based on a model approach which has regarded material itself as having been composed of multi-layered columnar dendrite structure and the result was compared with the one from experiment. The result from both theory and experiment showed good correlation and ultrasonic beam showed the least skewing with around 45 degree incident angle.
