스크류 추진형 검측 로봇의 효율적인 검측을 위한 스크류 구조 변화 메커니즘 (Screw Transformation Mechanism of Screw-Propelled Robot for Efficient Void Detection in Grease Pipe)

  • In general, detection robots using ultrasonic sensors are equipped with sensors to protrude outward or to contact objects. However, in the case of a screw-propelled robot that detects the inside of a reactor tendon duct, if the ultrasonic sensor protrudes to the outside, resistance due to grease is generated, and thus the propulsion efficiency is reduced. In order to increase the propulsion efficiency, the screw must be sharp, and the sharper the screw, the more difficult it is to apply a high-performance ultrasonic sensor, and the detection efficiency decreases. This paper proposes a screw shape-changing mechanism that can improve both propulsion efficiency and detection efficiency. This mechanism includes an overlapped helical ring (OHR) structure and a magnetic clutch system (MCS), and thus the shape of a screw may be changed to a compact size. As a result, the Screw-propelled robot with this mechanism can reduce the overall length by about 150 mm and change the shape of the screw faster and more accurately than a robot with a linear actuator.

  • In (Pb, La)(Zr, Ti)O3 ceramic system, the functionally gradient material (FGM) was developed, and its processing and properties were investigated. The FGMs were successfully prepared through doctor blade method with acrylic binder system as well as mold stacking press method. The ultrasonic treatment was very effective for particle dispersion in slurry, and it lead to form clack-free green films. The strain-voltage characteristics of the FGM system was significantly improved which fabricated between a high piezoelectric-low dielectric and a low piezoelectric-high dielectric composition layer.

압전구동기를 이용한 정밀 가공용 초음파 진동장치 설계 (Design of Ultrasonic Vibration Device using PZT Actuator for Precision Laser Machining)

  • As the aged population grows around the world, many medical instruments and devices have been developed recently. Among the devices, a drug delivery stent is a medical device which requires precision machining. Conventional drug delivery stent has problems of residual polymer and decoating because the drug is coated on the surface of stent with the polymer. If the drug is impregnated in micro hole array on the surface of the stent, the problem can be solved. Micro sized holes are generally fabricated by laser machining; however, the fabricated holes do not have an enough aspect ratio to contain the drug or a good surface finish to deliver it to blood vessel tissue. To overcome these problems, we propose a vibration-assisted machining mechanism with PZT (Piezoelectric Transducers) for the fabrication of micro sized holes. If the mechanism vibrates the eyepiece of the laser machining head, the laser spot on the workpiece will vibrate vertically because objective lens in the eyepiece shakes by the mechanism's vibration. According to the former researches, the vibrating frequency over 20kHz and amplitude over 500nm are preferable. The vibration mechanism has cylindrical guide, hollowed PZT and supports. In the cylinder, the eyepiece is mounted. The cylindrical guide has upper and low plates and side wall. The shape of plates and side wall are designed to have high resonating frequency and large amplitude of motion. The PZT also is selected to have high actuating force and high speed of motion. The support has symmetrical and rigid characteristics.

  • A piezoelectric ultrasonic bone surgical instrument, usually used to remove the tartar out of teeth or to cut the dentine of the tooth, is a recently popular instrument for dental treatment due to its several merits such as small size, low-electric power and precision control of surgical operation. It has typically two parts of a tip and vibration system which is also composed of head, piezoelectric elements and tail-mass. In order to improve the performance of the instrument, it is important to standardize the size of the vibration system without tip for high performance. In this study, a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was utilized to optimize the structure of ultrasonic instrument in vibration system. Consequently, this study revealed that influence of several tips on property were minimized and it showed good property at the frequency range of 22~32 kHz.

냉각용 초음파 웨이브가이드의 진동 특성 (Vibration characteristics of an ultrasonic waveguide for cooling)

  • 초음파는 다양한 산업 분야에서 널리 사용이 되고 있다. 그 중에 도전적인 분야로 전자부품의 냉각이 있다. 초음파 냉각 기술은 작동 유체로, 기존의 지구온난화를 유발하는 프레온 가스 대신에 Ar(아르곤), N2(질소) 등의 기체로 대체가 가능하다. 또한 움직이는 부품이 없어 높은 내구성을 가질 수 있다. 그러므로 이러한 환경 문제와 내구성 관점에서 초음파 냉각 장치의 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 설계와 제작 공정에 대하여 설명하고 있다. 이 시스템을 설계할 때, 냉각기 시제품을 이용하여 유효성 테스트를 수행하였다. 이 결과를 바탕으로, ANSYS 프로그램을 사용한 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 반공진 주파수는 34.8 kHz로 예측이 되었으며, 이는 실험치인 34.6 kHz과 0.6 %의 오차로 잘 일치하였다. 또한 초음파 웨이브가이드의 반공진 주파수는 39.4 kHz로 예측이 되었고, 역시 실험치인 39.8 kHz과 1.0 %의 오차로 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 볼 때, 개발된 초음파 웨이브가이드는 마이크로칩의 냉각에 활용 될 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

  • 본 연구에서는 초음파 모터 등의 고출력 액츄에이터에 응용 가능한 $04Pb(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-6Pb(Zr_xTi_{1-x})O_3$ 조성시스템에 소결온도를 달리하여 압전, 유전특성 및 미세구조에 관해 고찰하였다. 본 조성을 $1200^{\circ}C$ 온도에서 2, 4, 6, 8시간 소결하여 시편을 제조하였으며 이의 결정구조 및 미세조직을 분석하였다. 소결시간 증가에 따라 전기기계결합계수와 기계적품질계수는 증가하였으며, 압전상수는 Zr(Zr+Ti)비 0.390까지 증가하였으나 그 이상 증가함에 따라 감소하였다. 압전특성은 $1200^{\circ}C$에서 4시간 소결한 Zr=0.390인 조성에서 ${\varepsilon}_r$ = 4487, $k_p$ = 0.72. $d_{33}$ = 710, $Q_m$ =109의 우수한 특성을 나타내었다.

Analysis of Low-Profile Piezoelectric Butterfly Linear Motor using 3D Laser Vibrometer

  • Piezoelectric linear motors have been widely studied for auto focusing devices of digital cameras and cellular phones due to their simple structure. In this paper, we confirmed that novel piezoelectric butterfly linear motor was fabricated and its dynamic properties were analyzed. The piezoelectric transducer (having size $9{\times}8{\times}1\;mm^3$) is composed of an elastic plate, which includes a tip for energy transfer and two fixing protrusions for fixture, and two piezoelectric ceramics. The butterfly linear motor has been designed and optimized using A TILA simulation program. The superposed motion is an elliptical vibration on the tip. The actual movement of the manufactured actuator was confirmed by a 3D laser dopier vibrometer and compared with the simulation results. The results of numerical study and experimental investigation will be used for the future optimization of the actuator and the realization of the advanced ultrasonic motor.

구동회로에 따른 박형 초음파모터의 동작특성

  • This paper represented driving characteristic of a thin-type ultrasonic motor by fabricating and utilizing two kinds of drivers which could generate sinusoidal wave, square wave, respectively. A thin brass plate was used as a cross shaped vibrator and sixteen ceramic plates were attached on upper and bottom side of the brass plate. From the thin stator, elliptical displacements of the four contact tips were obtained. Speed, torque, and current were measured by applying sinusoidal waves through driving equipment such as function generator, power amplifier: to measure characteristic of the motor. As a result, the speed and the torque changed linearly at either driving frequency of 88.6 ~ 87.6[kHz] or voltage of 24~36[V]. Two-drivers which generate sinusoidal waves and square waves were designed respectively, and then were compared through some experiments in order to be put to practical use. In conclusion, the drivers had similar characteristic of speed-torque at similar frequency and voltage. It was able to control the motor linearly by using the driver generating square wave among two-drivers. Besides, it also was possible to make the drivers smaller.

  • 초음파 모터는 저속, 고토오크, 빠른 응답, 큰 정지 토오크등 여러 가지 장점을 지니고 있어서 자동화 설비 분야뿐만 아니라 산업 전반에 걸쳐 그 용도에 많은 기대를 모으고 있다. 따라서 최근들어 이에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있으며 많은 논문 및 응용분야에 대한 발표가 이루어지고 있다. 초음파 모터의 제어 파라미터는 2상 전원 전압의 진폭, 주파수, 위상차와 정역의 시비율, 고정자와 회전자간의 압력등이 있다. 본 논문에서는 위상차 조절을 사용하여 점성계수와 탄성계수에 따른 초음파 모터의 토크변화를 고찰하고 이에 따른 과도응답을 검토함으로서 힘 피드백없이 각도 검출만으로 동력학적인 점탄성 제어를 실현하였다. 따라서 초음파 모터가 유연성을 요구하는 자동화 설비용 소형 액츄에이터로 이용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.
