A 6-year-old male mongrel dog with a 7-month history of ulnar-radial nonunion fracture was treated with implantation of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2). The dog had received surgical correction three times prior to the admission but radiography of the affected limb revealed a typical figure of nonunion fracture. Glossly, the fractured ends were sclerotic and the area between the ends was filled with fibrous tissue. After debridement the shaft was fixed by an 10-hole plate. rhBMP-2 at a total dose of 256 micrograms was implanted with a synthetic carrier into the 10-mm defect formed by the debridement. Callus formation responding to rhBMP-2 was radiographically observed at 4 weeks after implantation and the defect bridged both fracture ends by 8 weeks after implantation. The plate was removed at 12 months after implantation. Any complications were not observed for 5 months after removal of the plate.

Two cases of bilateral ulnar neuropathies caused by telephone overuse are described in people engaged in the job of longtime telephone use. They had worked using telephone all through the working hours. Although they were right handed, they usually used the telephone in their left hand so as to leave their right hand free for writing, and would lean his elbow on the desk. Telesales or teleconsultation is a rapidly expanding field of business. These cases highlights the need of proper training and supplies appropriate to do their job.

Elbow hygroma and hypertrophic osteodystrophy were diagnosed in Doberman referred to Veterinary Teaching Hosptial of Chungbuk national University. Physical examination, plain radiography, and bone scan were performed in the patient. The radiography revealed soft tissue swelling on the caudal region of the elbow and irregular radiolucent zone involving the metaphysis subjacent and parallel to the distal radial and ulnar physes. The bone scan of the forelimbs revealed increased uptake in region where the soft, fluid-filled mass on the elbow was present. But the radiolucent areas (the distal radial and ulnar physes) were seen normal bone uptake. Therefore, hypertrophic osteodystrophy ruled out the diagnosis. $^{99m}Tc-MDP$ scan is suitable to routine clinical use for soft tissue inflammation and bone lesions detection.

Giant cell tumor of bone is relatively common neoplasm usually involving epiphysis of long bone. And rarely it involves the diaphysis or metaphysis without epiphyseal extension. We report on an 18-year-old girl with giant cell tumor of ulnar diaphysis. She was treated with wide excision and reconstuction with nonvascularized autogenous fibular graft. We harvested fibular fragment preserving fibular continuity to reduce donor site morbidity. Surgical outcome and functional result was excellent.

Purpose This study is to examine of Neurometer for the diagnosis of cold hypersensitivity Method Among patients who visited the oriental gynecological department in Kangnam Korean Hospital from October. 2000 to December. 2000, 37 women were diagnosed as cold hypersensitivity by D.I.T.I. We measured the limbs' temperature by D.I.T.I. and Current perception threshold(CPT) of median N., ulnar N., radial N., peroneal N., sural N., tibial N., saphenous N. by neurometer Patients were divided into mild and severe group depending on the temperature difference between proximalis and distalis in limbs Result and Conclusion 1. In severe group, CPT of median N., ulnar N., radial N. was higher on 250Hz and 200Hz. 2. In severe group, Mean CPT of peroneal N., sural N., tibial N., saphenous N. was higher on every Hz.

A wild Falco tinnunculus, which is a small raptor, was rescued and presented due to immobilization. On physical examination, a left ulnar fracture was detected, which was reduced with an intramedullary (IM) pin and soft bandaging. Passive range of motion (PROM) exercises were then conducted to prevent complications such as ankylosis. The raptor was released into the wild four weeks postoperatively. We suggest that IM pinning with bandaging and appropriate PROM exercises may effectively treat ulnar fractures in small raptors.

In this case report, we present a rare case of lipoma of the tendon sheath localized to the wrist which caused median entrapment neuropathy and was successfully treated with surgical excision. Dynamic examination using ultrasonography revealed the exact location of the lipoma. Electrodiagnostic study (EDX) was done before surgery to elucidate combined neuropathy, and surgery for ulnar neuropathy around elbow was also performed simultaneously. Diagnostic ultrasound can be used for dynamic examinations with real-time visualization.

A Monteggia fracture is a proximal ulnar fracture with proximal radioulnar ligamentous instability. While there is no precise definition, Monteggia-equivalent fractures are generally considered Monteggia fractures accompanied by radial head fractures. These are rare. In this study, we report a rare variation of a Bado type IV Monteggia-equivalent lesion (fracture of proximal ulnar shaft, proximal radial shaft, and radial head) and its management.
