수치모델을 이용한 기후변화 KML 콘텐츠 출판 연구 (A Study on Climate Change KML Contents Publishing by using Meteorological Model)

  • 기후변화 홍보 및 교육 콘텐츠로 활용되도록 수치모델을 시각화 설계하여 KML로 전자 출판하는 인터페이스 구현에 대하여 연구하였으며 그 결과 Arrow KML, BWS KML, DI KML을 콘텐츠화 하였다. Arrow KML은 선행연구로부터 도출된 시각화 설계를 개선하여 바람장미와 같은 정보를 제공하였고 개개의 바람기호에 대한 속성정보를 조회하고 활용할 수 있도록 하였다. 더불어 사람들이 느낄 쾌적성의 변화를 불쾌지수(DI) KML로 콘텐츠화 하였다. 출판된 콘텐츠가 여러 공간정보와 통합되어 시각화되고 실무에서 활용할 수 있도록 Google Earth를 기반으로 출판될 KML 자료 용량 계산식을 제시하였으며 Arrow KML 콘텐츠들의 Scale Factor 조정을 통한 표출효과 비교 및 백터형 KML과 아이콘 KML의 표출 효과 비교를 통해 출판 목적에 따른 활용방법을 제시하였다. 관련 연구 및 콘텐츠들은 과학적인 예측자료를 시각화하여 제공하였기 때문에 국민들과 소통하고 협업하는 콘텐츠로 다양하게 활용될 것이다. 더불어 보다 친숙한 기후변화 지수 및 실무에서 활용도와 가치가 높은 KML 콘텐츠가 보급 될 수 있도록 연구범위를 확장할 것이다.

혐기성탈염소화 혼합균주에서 산소 노출이 탈염소화 및 수소발생 발효에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Short-Term Oxygen Exposure on Anaerobic Reductive Dechlorination and Formate Fermentation by Evanite Culture)

  • Oxygen sensitivity and substrate requirement have been known as possible reasons for the intricate growth of Dehalococcoides spp. and limiting factors of for routinely applying bioaugmentation using anaerobic Dehalococcoides-containing microbes for remediating chlorinated organic compounds. To explore the effect of the short-term exposure of the short-term exposure of oxygen on Dehalococcoides capability, dechlorination performance, and hydrogen production fermentation from formate, an anaerobic reductive dechlorination mixed-culture (Evanite culture) including dehalococcoides spp. was in this study. In the results, once the mixed-culture were exposed to oxygen, trichloroethylene (TCE) degradation rate decreased and it was not fully recovered even addition of excess formate for 40 days. In contrast, hydrogen was continuously produced by hydrogen-fermentation process even under oxygen presence. The results indicate that although the oxygen-exposed cells cannot completely dechlorinate TCE to ethylene (ETH), hydrogen fermentation process was not affected by oxygen presence. These results suggest that dechlorinating microbes may more sensitive to oxygen than fermenting microbes, and monitoring dechlorinators activity may be critical to achieve an successful remediation of a TCE contaminated-aquifer through bioaugmentation using Dehalococcoides spp..

Fertilization of N and Si to Sustain Grain Yield and Growth Characteristics of Rice after Winter Greenhouse Water-melon Cropping

  • In Korea, silicate fertilization (SF) is being practiced every four years to enhance rice production. However, the relationship between nitrogen (N) and SF in view of growth characteristics and grain yield of rice has not been examined after watermelon cropping in plastic film house. This study was carried out to identify useful critical N and Si fertilizer levels to sustain grain yield and to improve N use efficiency for rice. The watermelon-rice cropping system has maintained for three seasons in each year from 1998 to 2001 by farmer before this experiment. Experiments on N and Si fertilization levels were evaluated with Hwayoungbyeo (Oryza sativa L.) in 2002 and 2003 at Uiryeong, Korea. The goal of this experiment was to find out the optimum N and Si levels to sustain rice yield by reducing excessive N fertilizer in watermelon-rice cropping system. Nitrogen fertilization (NF) levels were three ($0,\;57,\;114kg\;ha^{-1};0,\;50,\;100%$ of conventional NF amount) and five (0, 25, 50, 75, 100%) in 2002 and 2003, respectively, and combined with three SF levels ($70,\;130,\;180mg\;kg^{-1};100,\;150,\;200%$ which were adjusted with Si fertilizer in soil) were evaluated for the improvement of N and Si fertilization level in both years. Rice yielded 3.98-5.95 and 2.84-4.02 t/ha in 2002 and 2003, respectively. Our results showed the combinations of 50% and 100% of N with 200% level of Si produced the highest grain yield in both years, respectably. The grain yield was greatly improved in plot of N25% level when compared to conventional NF (Nl00%) in 2003. In conclusion, NF amount could be reduced about 50% compared to recommended level by specific fertilization of N and Si combination levels for rice growing and grain yield after cultivation watermelon in paddy field.

  • 현재 제작되고 있는 수치지도 지리조사 기준은 수치지도작성작업내규를 기준으로 각종 작업지침서에 의해 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 수치지도작성작업내규는 과거 종이지도 제작에 사용된 규정을 수정하여 사용하고 있어 현재의 수치지도 품질상에 여러 가지 문제점들이 나타나고 있다. 그러므로, 고품질 수치지도를 제작하기 위해서는 지리조사에 관련된 전반적인 기준들이 재검토되어야 하고, 이를 기준으로 정확한 수치지도를 제작하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 기존 수치지도 지리조사에 관련된 문제점들을 분석하여 보다 합리적인 지리조사 기준을 정립하므로써 정확한 수치지도를 제작하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 수치지도 작성에 관련된 작업규정들을 분석하고, 기구축된 수치지도 속성자료와 지리조사자료 등을 비교.분석하였으며, 분석된 결과를 지리조사자들과 관련 전문가의 의견을 수렴하여 합리적인 수치지도 지리조사기준을 제시하였다.

제4회 East Asia Young Astronomers Meeting 개최결과 보고 및 한국 젊은 천문우주과학자들의 모임 현황

  • 한국 젊은 천문우주과학자들의 모임 (Korea Young Astronomers Meeting, 이하 본 모임)은 2011년 2월 13일부터 5박6일간 제주도에서 'The 4th East Asia Young Astronomers Meeting' (이하 EAYAM2011)을 개최하였다. EAYAM은 한국, 대만, 일본, 중국 등 동아시아 4개국의 젊은 천문우주과학자들의 교류와 연구 증진을 위하여 3년에 한 번씩 열리는 모임으로, 2003년 대만, 2006년 일본, 2008년 중국에 이어 4회째를 맞이하였다. EAYAM2011에는 한국 36명, 대만 19명, 일본 14, 중국 23명, 태국 1명 등 총 93명이 참여하여 구두발표 (71편) 및 포스터 발표(23편)를 진행하였다. 초청강연은 천문연구원의 김종수 박사, ISAS/JAXA의 Munetaka Ueno 교수 (일본), 상하이 천문대의 Cheng Li 교수 (중국), ASIAA의 Jeremy Kim 교수 (대만) 등 총 4편이 있었다. 참가자들은 발표 외에도 휴식시간을 이용하여 다양한 토의를 할 수 있었으며, 셋째 날 오후에는 다 함께 성산일출봉을 방문하여 제주도의 자연 경관을 둘러보며 친분을 쌓았다. 차기 EAYAM은 4개국의 순환개최 방식에 따라 2014년경 대만에서 개최하기로 결정되었다. 또한 2010년 8월 26일부터 2박3일간 일본에서 개최된 제 4회 JKYAM (Japan-Korea Young Astronomers Meeting)에 18명이 참가하였고, 차기 KJYAM (Korea-Japan Young Astronomers Meeting)은 한국에서 2012년 2월 21일부터 3박 4일 일정으로 개최하는 것을 목표로 준비하고 있다. 그리고 2011년 8월 5일-6일에는 '한국 젊은 천문우주과학자들의 모임 정기모임'을 개최하여, 회원들이 한 자리에 모여 1년간의 활동을 정리 하고 회칙 초안의 세부조항을 논의하는 기회를 마련하였으며, 본 모임의 차기 임원진을 선출하였다.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this research is to show the effectiveness of the Korean medical treatment on patients diagnosed with supraspinatus tendinosis, subacromial bursitis and subdeltoid bursitis treated by Korean medical treatment Including megadose shinbaro pharmacopuncture. Methods : We used megadose shinbaro pharmacopuncture on patients who received treatment at Bucheon Jaseng Korean medicine hospital from December, 2016 to January, 2017. Also we checked NRS, SPADI, range of motion(ROM) and shoulder physical examination to follow the scale showing the improvement of the symptoms of the patients. Results : All 4 patientes showed the improvement of NRS, SPADI range of motion(ROM) and shoulder physical examination. Conclusion : This research showed that megadose shinbaro pharmacopuncture was effective on the treatment of shoulder pain patients diagnosed with supraspinatus tendinosis, subacromial bursitis and subdeltoid bursitis.

Reliability Study of Measuring Range of Motion Glenohumeral Joint Internal Rotation With Pressure Biofeedback Stabilization

  • The aims of the current study were to assess reliability of range of motion (ROM) measurement of glenohumeral internal rotation (GIR) with a pressure biofeedback stabilization (PBS) method and to compare the reliability between manual stabilization (MS) and the PBS method. In measurement of pure glenohumeral joint motion, scapular stabilization is necessary. The MS method in GIR ROM measurement was used to restrict scapular motion by pressing the palm of the tester's hand over the subject's clavicle, coracoid process, and humeral head. The PBS method was devised to maintain consistent pressure for scapular stabilization during GIR ROM measurement by using a pressure biofeedback unit. GIR ROM was measured by 2 different stabilization methods in 32 subjects with GIR deficit using a smartphone clinometer application. Repeated measurements were performed in two test sessions by two testers to confirm inter- and intra-rater reliability. After tester A performed measurements in test session 1, tester B's measurements were conducted one hour later on the same day to assess the inter-rater reliability and then tester A performed again measurements in test session 2 for confirming the intra-rater reliability. Intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) (2,1) was applied to assess the inter-rater reliability and ICC (3,1) was applied to determine the intra-rater reliability of the two methods. In the PBS method, the intra-rater reliability was excellent (ICC=.91) and the inter-rater reliability was good (ICC=.84). The inter-rater and intra-rater reliability of the PBS method was higher than in the MS method. The PBS method could regulate manual scapular stabilization pressure in inter- and intra-rater measuring GIR ROM. Results of the current study recommend that the PBS method can provide reliable measurement data on GIR ROM.

Comparison of the Thickness of the Neck Flexor Muscles of Subjects With and Without a Forward Head Posture on the Two Initial Head Positions During Cranio-Cervical Flexion Exercise

  • This study compared the effects of the initial head position (i.e., a HHP versus a relaxed head position) of subjects with and without a FHP on the thickness of the deep and superficial neck flexor muscles during CCF. The study recruited 6 subjects with a FHP and 10 subjects without a FHP. The subjects performed CCF in two different head positions: a HHP, with the head aligned so that the forehead and chin formed a horizontal line, and a relaxed head position (RHP), with the head aligned in a self-selected comfortable position. During the CCF exercise, the thickness of the longus colli (LCo) and the thickness of the sternocleidomastoid (SCM) were recorded using ultrasonography. The thickness of each muscle was measured by Image J software. The statistical analysis was performed with a two-way mixed-model analysis of variance. The thickness of the SCM differed significantly (p<.05) between the subjects with and without FHP. According to a post $h^{\circ}C$ independent t-test, the change in thickness of the SCM increased significantly during CCF in the subjects with FHP while adopting a HHP compared to that in the subjects without FHP. The change in thickness of the SCM was not significantly different between the two positions in subjects without FHP, and there was no significant change in thickness of the LCo muscle during the CCF exercise according to the initial position in both subjects with and without FHP. The results suggest that CCF should be performed in RHP to minimize contraction of the SCM in subjects with a FHP.

Comparison of Scapular Kinematics During Active Shoulder Horizontal Adduction Between Subjects With and Without Limited Range of Motion of Shoulder Horizontal Adduction

  • Background: Shoulder horizontal adduction (HA) is performed in many activities of daily living. The limited range of motion (LROM) of HA is affected by the tightness of the posterior deltoid, infraspinatus, teres major, and posterior capsule of glenohumeral joint. The LROM of shoulder HA contributes to excessive scapular abduction. Objects: The aim of this study is to compare the scapular abduction distance and three-dimensional displacement of the scapula during shoulder horizontal adduction between subjects with and without the LROM of shoulder HA. Methods: 24 subjects (12 people in LROM group and 12 people in normal ROM group) participated. Subjects with less than $115^{\circ}$ of HA ROM were included in LROM group. Shoulder HA was performed 3 times for measuring scapular abduction distance and three-dimensional displacement of the scapula. Tape measure was used for measuring scapular abduction distance. Scapular abduction distance was normalized by dividing the scapular size. Polhemus Liberty was used for measuring the three-dimensional displacement of the scapula. Results: Normalized scapular abduction distance was significantly greater in LROM group than normal ROM group (p<.001). Three-dimensional displacement of the scapula during shoulder HA was greater in LROM group than normal ROM group (p<.05). Conclusion: LROM group had a greater scapular abduction and three-dimensional displacement of the scapula during shoulder HA compared to normal ROM group.

해상운송 하중측정 (A Measurement of Sea Transportation Load)

  • 본 문서는 KSLV-I의 해상운송과정에서 겪게 될 진동하중조건의 기초자료 획득을 위해 수행된 해상운송 측정결과를 요약정리 한다. KSLV-I은 부산에서 전남 고흥 외나로도의 우주센터로 해상을 통해 운송될 예정이다. 해상운송시의 진동하중은 발사체나 이송치구를 설계할때 반드시 고려되어야 하는 설계인자 중 하나로서, 실제 해상운송시의 하중을 측정하여 그 크기를 확인해야 할 필요가 있다. 본 문서에서는 KSLV-I을 수송할 선박과 동일한 규모인 바지선(예인선으로 견인)을 대상으로 운항중에 3축가속도와 3축각속도 신호를 측정하여 해상운송하중을 획득한 결과를 보여준다. 그 결과 기존의 미군사규격이나 Zenit-3SL(Sea Launch)의 하중조건보다 양호함을 확인할 수 있었다.
