A contemporary office space is changed by the transformation to an information-oriented society from an industrial society. A contemporary office space is recognized as an interactional space which is more of a mental and psychological space than a physical space. I studied the basic concept of an office space and the relationship of a social change and an office space on this study. I also studied the concept of an ubiquitous computing and the relationship of an ubiquitous computing and an office space. Through this study, we can establish the new concept of an office space to be applied to an ubiquitous concept. The ubiquitous concept of an office space will be brought into a new prototype of an office space, and then there is no more important to a physical place and time. The office space must be redesigned by an ubiquitous space nowadays.

Information technology has changed the human life as well as the societal and economic paradigm. New office environments have been proposed to cope with emerging changes and to support working performances by reducing costs of office operation and business. Recently, office environments have adopted ubiquitous computing with a focus on collaboration to promote real-time enterprises. They become equipped with various mobile devices and pervasive technologies in wireless networks. This study aims to propose a direction for the adoption of mobile and pervasive computing on the new office environment. We investigate relate works and analyze new office types including mobile offices, telework centers and home offices. Using a customized questionnaire, the current conditions of the office environments and officers' demands were investigated and analyzed. In the end, we propose the direction for a ubiquitous office environment with a focus on two attributes, ubiquity and mobility. This research will be a basis for the development of ubiquitous offices that support the professionalism of works in practices.

Ubiquitous computing is an emerging technic for various areas such as public, private (individual), military, industrial, medical sectors. The applications of ubiquitous computing are expected to be prevailed from home to office. Unfortunately, it is not effective to apply existing system/software development methodologies into this emerging ubiquitous computing applications. In this paper, MBASE (Model-Based system Architecting and Software Engineering) is applied as a development method of ubiquitous computing applications. The advantage of MBASE is to identify mismatches of product, process, property, and success models and resolve them in developing the ubiquitous computing applications. A SmartView, a ubiquitous computing application, is presented as a case study o f MBASE.

This study aims at analyzing the characteristics and trends of future workplace in reference to the case for Digital Nomad Space (DNS). For this study, it has been investigated how to converge meanings of the digital environment and physical office space by which surveys to potential digital nomads were fulfilled. As a result, the types and the properties of future workplace in digital environment have been obtained. This study also includes general characteristics and design aspects of the time-based ubiquitous rental workplace followed by investigating future trends of the digital era. Thus, suggestions of spatial requirements of the digitalized office towards the practical level in the architectural interior design is proposed, and DNS has special features such as the cultural complex and ICT-based facilities with free accessibility to existing information and data over the air.

In this paper, we developed a Hospital Information System in which the business process is formalized and a wire/wireless integrated solution is used. This system consists of the administration office program, the medical office program, the ward management program and the rounds management program. The administration office program can enroll and accept patients, issue and reissue the RFID card. The medical office program inputs a medical examination and treatment, outputs a diagnosis, requests a hospitalization, retrieves the record of a medical examination and treatment, assigns the corresponding examination room to the accepted patients, and updates the number of an waiting patient and a patient number according to the examination room on real time. The ward management program handles hospitalizations and leaving hospital, a nurse's note, and an isolation ward monitoring. The rounds management program handles a medical examination and treatment, and a leaving hospital using PDA. This developed system can be built at low cost and increase the quality of the medical services highly by making it automated the medical administration automation. Also the small number of the medical staffs can manage the inpatients efficiently by using the monitoring functions.

The direction of this project is creates a future and it experiences ubiquitous world. The subject of the space is 'Ubiquitous Creative World' which Imagining the past becomes actuality and imagining in future become actuality and future when it will approach at once. The storyline of this space is as belows; 1 Zone - Ubiquitous life Gallery : it will be able to experience the future world ; home, office, street, school and the others. 2 Zone - Interactive Play Gallery : it will be able to explore the interactive media with information technology ; digital cafe, imagining jump, digital art and the others. 3 Zone - New product and Business Gallery : it composed with business, new product, and demonstration gallery such as public information space. The space concept makes connection and concentration which uses unit and line for world which becomes accomplished by the network. Connection of digital and the human being to make the center of new digital life.

The skylines of many cities worldwide are still defined by the dominant and ubiquitous office blocks of the twentieth century. While there is consensus stating that future tall building typologies should depart substantially from these past models, the inheritance of large and obsolete tall office building stocks presents a problem of global significance. Too old for present corporate models, but too new for gaining public historical importance, the twentieth-century office tower is a typology under threat of extinction. However, the need for a culturally informed strategy of preservation for that generation of tall buildings is seldom advocated. Drawing evidence from the case of Melbourne, Australia, this article presents a methodological pathway to overcome pitfalls of memory and interpretation, which commonly prevent an unbiased assessment of the value and urban contribution of late-twentieth-century skyscrapers.

Recently, Most of the companies and government offices are under consideration about the adoption of cloud office service to actualize the smart work policies. Comparing with traditional office software, a cloud office service have the advantage of the method of payment and coming over the physical limitations. Many cloud office service users tend to adopt an official evaluated the service without doubt. However after deciding to adopt cloud office service, many users are faced with a variety of problems and difficulties practically. In this study, researchers carried out interview about those problems and difficulties after adopting a cloud office service. Consequently, there are several problems and difficulties such as compatibility, document security, document lost and maladjusted to the new graphic user interface between traditional office software and a cloud office service. A cloud office service have still several advantages not only a competitive price but also ubiquitous attributes. Thus, researchers need to study about what kinds of reason variables can solve those problems and difficulties. In existing research, DeLone & McLean have suggested information system success model. They use three independent variables which are system quality, information quality, service quality. Parameters are user satisfaction, intention to use and use. Lastly, dependent variables are net benefits. However in this study, we need to change the scope of measurement. In other words, we have to replace parameters with dependent variables. Simply, user satisfaction, intention to use and use is going to be dependent variables. There are several reasons why we need changing variables. First, we aim at giving a some suggestions to a cloud service providers which independent variables do not work to satisfy for the users. Second, we need to find out how to maximize cloud office service user's satisfaction and intention to use. Third, we should firstly know that relationship between independent variables and dependent variables. Finally, those research results give for the cloud office service provider to solve the cloud office service adopting problems and difficulties.
