This paper proposes a single sign-on scheme in which a mobile user offers his credential information to a home network running the OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative) service platform, to obtain user authentication and control a remote device through a mobile device using this authentication scheme, based on SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language). Especially by defining the single sign-on profile to overcome the handicap of the low computing and memory capability of the mobile device, we provide a clue to applying automated user authentication to control a remote device via a mobile device for distributed mobile environments such as a home network based on OSGi.

Currently, RFID is receiving attention from the industry and the academy because it is considered as an enabling technology for ubiquitous computing, in particular context perception. In this paper, we survey the existing context-aware RFID systems and introduce three main issues in the systems - the context information, the context-aware services, and the context-aware RFID system architectures. We classify context information into six groups, the services into five context-aware service types, and the systems into four architecture styles. This study will help stakeholders such as customers and developers to understand their RFID systems and to develop new services.

In Korea, livestock has grown into the most value-added business in the agricultural and forest industry. But due to the recent outbreak of deadly infectious diseases such as foot-and-mount disease and avian influenza (AI), the demand for IT-enabled cutting-edge management system is getting stronger. As for humans, pilot projects and researches concerning U-healthcare have been carried out since early 2000. So this study explored the current progress of U-healthcare introduction, and suggested the strategies to develop technologies of collecting, processing, and utilizing information; to apply elements for a service model development and prioritization; to provide policy and institutional support. Therefore it is expected to vitalize the livestock U-healthcare in the future through continuous study based on these results.

Recommendation systems provide users with proper services using context information being input from many sensors occasionally under ubiquitous computing environment. But in case there isn't sufficient context information for service recommendation in spite of much context information, there can be problems of resulting in inexact result. In addition, in the quantification step to use context information, there are problems of classifying context information inexactly because of using an absolute classification course. In this paper, we solved the problem of lack of necessary context information for service recommendation by using dynamic profile information. We also improved the problem of absolute classification by using a relative classification of context information in quantification step. As the result of experiments, expectation preference degree was improved by 7.5% as compared with collaborative filtering methods using an absolute quantification method where context information of P2P mobile agent is used.

본 논문은 센서로부터 사용자의 환경정보를 수집하여 상황정보 프로파일을 생성히는 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 상황인지에 대한 연구결과를 바탕으로 상황을 분류하고, 상황정보를 모델링하였다. 제안된 시스템은 다양한 일상생활에서 사용자에게 발생할 수 있는 주변환경 정보 및 신체정보를 수집하여, 상황정보 프로파일을 생성함으로써 콘텐츠 적응화 서비스를 지원할 수 있다.

본 연구는 복합형 실버타운에 입주한 실버세대들의 생활편의 제공과 생활안전을 위하여 필요한 u-서비스 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 대한 것이다. 개발된 u-서비스 제공 시스템은 입주자들에게 개별적으로 제공된 단말기의 건물 내 위치정보를 기반으로 긴급호출기능의 안심서비스와 공동 출입문 자동제어, 엘리베이터 자동운행, 세대 현관 원격제어와 같은 생활편의 서비스를 제공한다. 구현된 u-서비스 제공 시스템은 고급형 실버타운에 실제 적용하여 서비스를 제공함으로써 성능 및 기능을 검증하였다. 본 연구 결과는 실버타운 외에도 노약자를 위한 의료시설, 초고층의 복합형 주거건물, 고급 아파트단지 등에도 충분히 적용가능하다고 사료된다.

In the era of the Internet and ubiquitous computing, IS users are still facing a variety of threats. Therefore, a need of more tightened information security service increases unprecedentedly. In this sense, this study is aimed at proposing a new research model in which IT assets (i.e., network, system, and information influence) and Information Security Service (i.e., confidentiality, integrity, nonrepudiation, authentication) affect information security qualty positively, leading to users' satisfaction eventually To prove the validity of the proposed research model, PLS analysis is applied with valid 177 questionnaires. Results reveal that both IT assets and Information Security Service influence informations security quality positively, and user satisfaction as well. From the results, it can be concluded that Korean government's recent orchestrated efforts to boost the IT assets and Information Security Service helped great improve the information security quality and user satisfaction.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 사용자는 많은 수의 장치 및 서비스를 언제, 어디서나 손쉽게 사용할 수 있다. 이를 위해서 사용자에게 대상 장치 및 서비스의 사용자 인터페이스를 쉽고 직관적으로 제공할 필요가 있다. 기존의 방법에서는 각각의 장치 및 서비스를 위해 개별적인 사용자 인터페이스를 제공하기 때문에 사용자는 사용법을 학습하기 위해 많은 시간을 투자해야했다. 또한 지금까지 개발된 시스템은 제한된 시나리오에서만 검증되어, 일반적인 사용자 인터페이스로써의 확장성에 대한 고려가 부족하다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 개인 모바일 단말기를 사용하여 확장된 모바일 상호작용을 지원하는 시스템인 UbiController를 제시한다. 먼저, 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 모바일 시스템의 기능을 정의하기 위해, 기존의 관련연구를 분석하고 세 가지 필수 기능인 서비스 발견, 선택 및 상호작용을 지원할 수 있는 시스템 구조를 설계하고, 이를 통해 UbiController는 스마트 홈 환경의 다수의 서비스를 자동으로 발견하고, 직/간접적 선택된 서비스에 대응하는 GUI 인터페이스를 통해 홈 환경의 가전기기를 직관적으로 제어하는 방법을 제공한다. 마지막으로, UbiController의 보편성과 확장성을 검증하기 위하여, 스마트 홈 테스트베드에서 다양한 응용 시나리오를 가지고 UMPC기반의 프로토타입을 구현하고 사용자 스터디를 통해 UbiController를 정성적으로 평가한다.

도시화와 산업화로 악화되고 있는 대기환경은 건강과 밀접한 연관이 있어, 대기환경 개선정책에 대한 시민들의 관심은 증가되고 있는 상황이다. 정보통신기술의 발전으로 일반대중은 다양한 대기환경 정보를 쉽게 접근하고 이용하고 있고, 정책결정권자들은 대기환경문제를 시민들과 소통하기 위해 소셜 미디어 서비스를 이용하고 있다. 또한, 높아진 환경의식으로 대기환경개선을 위한 시민들의 참여와 역할의 중요성이 증대되고 있다. 이러한 기술적 사회적 변화는 기존 대기환경 정보시스템과 대기환경 정보서비스의 변화를 요구하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 ISO19154의 UPA (Ubiquitous Pubic Access) 모델을 참조하여 GIS 기반의 대기환경 정보시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 시스템은 공간 상황정보모델을 이용하여, 시민들의 위치와 건강상태에 따른 대기환경정보와 행동요령정보를 제공한다. 또한 시민들은 대기환경정보 시스템을 통해 현재위치와 관심지역의 대기환경에 대한 의견을 표현하게 함으로써, 대기환경 정책결정권자 관련 정책을 수립하는데 참고하도록 하였다.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 주요 목적 가운데 하나는 지능 공간에 존재하는 다양한 자원들을 공유하고 최적의 자원을 추론하여 사용자를 위한 효과적인 서비스를 구성하는 것이다. 그러나 각 응용들은 서로 다른 표현 방법으로 자원과 서비스들을 기술하고 있으며 이러한 이질적인 정보 표현 형식은 공유와 추론을 어렵게 하는 요인이 된다. 그러므로 자원 공유를 위해 필요한 정보를 단일화하는 것이 필요하며 온톨로지는 이를 표현하기위한 한 가지 방안이다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 지능 공간 내에서 제공 가능한 서비스들을 정의하고 이를 위한 온톨로지를 제안한다. 또한 서비스를 구성하기 위하여 주변의 자원을 공유하기 위한 자원 온톨로지를 정의한다. 이렇게 정의된 우리의 온톨로지들은 유비쿼터스 지능 공간에서 사용자에게 효과적인 서비스를 구성하기위한 자원 집합을 추론하기위해서 사용된다.
