  • Two experiments were conducted to examine the relationships between the color structure and the user preference of a CNS (Car Navigation System) digital map in terms of HSE (Human Sensibility Ergonomics). In the first experiment, the user's preference of color structures were investigated from the subjects' self-designed digital maps using a CNS digital map UIMS (User Interface Management System): in the second, statistical relation models between the user's color structure satisfaction level and the color components of CIE (Commission Internationale de ι'Eclairage) of the real products were suggested. For each experiment, CIE L*u*v* and CIE LCH color space were adapted, respectively, because they have their own characteristics of perceptual uniformity which enables the color components to transform a linear function.

  • Most existing resource management problem models arise from the original desire of allocating resources in either a user-centric or network-centric manner. The difference between their objectives is obvious: user-centric methods attempt to optimize the utility of individual users, whereas network-centric models intend to optimize the collective utilities of the entire network. In this paper, from the above two aspects, we analyze the robust power control problem in device-to-device (D2D) communication underlaying cellular networks, where two types of channel uncertainty set (e.g., ellipsoidal and column-wise) are considered. In the user-centric method, we formulate the problem into the form of a Stackelberg game, where the energy efficiency (EE) of each user is the ingredient of utility function. In order to protect the cellular user equipment's (CUE) uplink transmission, we introduce a price based cost function into the objectives of D2D user equipment (DUE). The existence and uniqueness of the game with the influence of channel uncertainty and price are discussed. In the network-centric method, we aim to maximize the collective EE of CUEs and DUEs. We show that by the appropriate mathematical transformation, the network-centric D2D power control problem has the identical local solution to that of a special case of the user-centric problem, where price plays a key role. Numerical results show the performance of the robust power control algorithms in the user-centric and network-centric models.

  • User authentication is a necessity to set up secure system which only an authorized user can use various resource on the Internet. Encryption is to provide data privacy. Also, searchable encryption is to provide both data privacy and efficient management of data by searching with a keyword. The public key based searchable encryption requires in advance the authentication of user's public key as well as the secure management of a publlic/private key of a user, respectively. In cloud, it is purpose to use cloud various resources by using various devices, meanwhile, it is not sufficient resource that some devices manage public/private keys and certificates and it is not easy to implement these clients. To solve this problem, we propose a password-based saerchable encryption using smart cards which are temper-resistant devices.

  • Along with increasing of its subscribers and traffic for high-speed LTE service, it is widely expected to bring about the 2nd data explosion and results in any inconvenience of users. This paper proposes a smart traffic management scheme and its system design based on user's participating with the mobile application, in order to provide a fast and stable service for end users as well as to resolve the network overhead with increasing traffic. By making use of a time shift by users who want to reduce data usage amount and communication cost, the proposed scheme tries to reduce the peak traffic by shifting the delay-tolerant services, such as file sharing and software download, into the other time line. It also reduces the high volumed video traffics by transforming them into a user customized one. In addition, we suggest a mechanism to select video size and service time, then proposes an overall system design and its user service scenarios.
