  • The existing mobile learning service is the method that provides data packets in real time. It has some problems of much data packet cost and transmission speed to provide the mobile learning service for messy capacity by the existing one. To solve the problems, a secondary storage device like USB is added to a mobile phone. In this paper, we suggest to implementation of the mobile learning system of the new method using secondary storage device.

  • According to the using of electric power source such as solar cell, fuel cell and wind energy, consumer is supplied from distributed generator and electric power company. Therefore, it is required that the real-time measurement and control instrument for those distributed generator. In this paper, describes the development of measuring equipment for the power system with distributed generator. The equipment has real-time measure function and communication with PC via USB port, which is used for various purposes such as investigation of transient state, and is compared with measurement instrument to verify the reliability.

UTrustDisk: An Efficient Data Protection Scheme for Building Trusted USB Flash Disk

  • Data protection of removable storage devices is an important issue in information security. Unfortunately, most existing data protection mechanisms are aimed at protecting computer platform which is not suitable for ultra-low-power devices. To protect the flash disk appropriately and efficiently, we propose a trust based USB flash disk, named UTrustDisk. The data protection technologies in UTrustDisk include data authentication protocol, data confidentiality protection and data leakage prevention. Usually, the data integrity protection scheme is the bottleneck in the whole system and we accelerate it by WH universal hash function and speculative caching. The speculative caching will cache the potential hot chunks for reducing the memory bandwidth pollution. We adopt the symmetric encryption algorithm to protect data confidentiality. Before mounting the UTrustDisk, we will run a trusted virtual domain based lightweight virtual machine for preventing information leakage. Besides, we prove formally that UTrustDisk can prevent sensitive data from leaking out. Experimental results show that our scheme's average writing throughput is 44.8% higher than that of NH scheme, and 316% higher than that of SHA-1 scheme. And the success rate of speculative caching mechanism is up to 94.5% since the access pattern is usually sequential.

  • Personal mobile devices equipped with non-volatile storage such as MP3 player, PMP, cellular phone, and USB memory require safety for the stored data on the devices. One of the safety requirements is secure deletion, which is removing stored data completely so that the data can not be restored illegally. In this paper, we study how to design the secure deletion on Flash memory, commonly used as storage media for mobile devices. We consider two possible secure deletion policy, named zero-overwrite and garbage-collection respectively, and analyze how each policy affects the performance of Flash memory file systems. Then, we propose an adaptive file deletion scheme that exploits the merits of the two possible policies. Specifically, the proposed scheme applies the zero-overwrite policy for small files, whereas it employs the garbage-collection policy for large files. Real implementation experiments show that the scheme is not only secure but also efficient.

Study on the Digital File Management Behavior of Undergraduate Students according to the Life Cycle of Digital Object (디지털 객체 생애주기에 따른 대학생의 파일관리 행태 연구)

  • This study presents the direction of services and policies for digital file management in universities by identifying undergraduate students' digital file management behavior. The research defined the Life Cycle of Digital Objects. In addition, This research collected data from 154 undergraduate students using an online survey on their file Creation, Storing, Naming, Organizing, and Backup based on the Digital File Management Workflow. Also, an in-depth interview was conducted for 8 students, two for each major in engineering, arts, social science, and humanities. The result showed that students mostly used personal computers as storage media and USB drive as backup media and had their own file Naming and Organizing methods. Furthermore, students' satisfaction with digital file management was high when universities supported software and cloud storage. Therefore, this study suggests that universities need to provide services reflecting the students' digital file management behavior.

  • Removable Storage provides the excellent portability with light weight and small size which fits in one's hand, many users have recently turned attention to the high-capacity products. However, due to the easy of portability for Removable Storage, Removable Storage are frequently lost and stolen and then many problems have been occurred such as the leaking of private information to the public. The advent of remote storage services where data is stored throughout the network, has allowed an increasing number of users to access data. The main data of many users is stored together on remote storage, but this has the problem of disclosure by an unethical administrator or attacker. To solve this problem, the encryption of data stored on the server has become necessary, and a searchable encryption system is needed for efficient retrieval of encrypted data. However, the existing searchable encryption system has the problem of low efficiency of document insert/delete operations and multi-keyword search. In this paper, an efficient searchable encryption system is proposed.

Development of Data Logger System for Ocean Bottom Seimometer (해저면지진계 데이터 기록장치 개발 연구)

  • A digital data logging system has been developed for the purpose of a compact offline Ocean Bottom Seismometer(OBS). The Digital Data Logger(DDL) consists of A/D system, Micom with storage memory and firmware managing data files. The A/D system acquires data of 16bit/4ch with sampling rate of 250Hz per channel. The Micom, a micro controller board with T33521 processor of 8051 class, was equipped with 8 flash memories of 128MB for data storage capacity of 1GB. The firmware stores the acquiring data in form of binary files. The DDL was designated to be compact and light and to consume low energy as possible. The DDL is to interface with PC through USB(Universal Serial Bus). The performance of the DDL has been validated through tests with respect to a 3-axis seismometer.

  • USB flash drive와 같은 이동형 저장매체는 한 손에 쏙 들어오는 작은 크기와 가벼운 무게로 뛰어난 휴대성을 제공하고 있다. 많은 사용자들은 자신의 데이터를 저장하기 위해 고용량을 제공하는 이동형 저장매체에 관심을 보이고 있다. 하지만 이동형 저장매체는 휴대성으로 인한 도난 및 분실당할수 있다. 개인 정보가 유출되는 등의 많은 문제들이 발생하고 있다. 인터넷의 발달과 클라우드 컴퓨팅 붐을 통하여 이동형 저장매체의 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 클라우드 스토리지 서비스가 급증하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 클라우드 스토리지 서비스는 인터넷이 가지고 있는 취약성 및 서버와 서버의 관리자의 비신뢰성 등의 문제를 가지고 있으며, 이로 인한 몇몇 사고가 발생하였다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 클라우드 스토리지 환경에서는 데이터를 암호화 저장하고 이를 복호화 과정 없이 검색할 수 있는 검색 가능한 암호 기술의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 하지만 기존의 검색가능 암호 기술은 사용자가 저장하고자 하는 데이터를 직접 업로드하고, 해당 자료를 필요에 따라 공유 하고, 공유대상이 변화되는 클라우드 스토리지 환경에서 비효율성을 가지고 있어 실제 서비스에 적용하기 힘든 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경을 고려하여 검색가능한 암호화 색인 생성 및 이를 재암호화를 통해 다른 사용자와 안전하게 공유할 수 있는 검색가능한 재 암호화 시스템을 제안한다.

  • With the rapid development of big data and Internet technologies among IT technologies, it is being changed into an environment where data stored in the cloud environment can be used wherever the Internet is connected, without storing important data in an external storage device such as USB. However, protection of users' privacy information is becoming increasingly important as the data being processed in the cloud environment is changed into an environment that can be easily handled. In this paper, we propose a user-reserving management model that can improve the user 's service quality without exposing the information used in the cloud environment to a third party. In the proposed model, user group is grouped into virtual environment so that third party can not handle user's privacy information among data processed in various cloud environments, and then identity property and access control policy are processed by block chain.

  • This paper describes the development of pulse code modulation(PCM) data recorder with design, implementation and environmental test. PCM serial data that diverged from telemetry encoder output is used as the input and is reformed to parallel signal through FPGA processing. Controllers construct the packet by the sector and record it into non-volatile memory. Compact flash(CF) memory for data storage media, USB interface for data downloading, and a software for operating status diagnosis and file format conversion are used.
