A Study On design & implementation of the intelligent robot simulator which is connected to an URC system (URC시스템과 연계한 지능형 로봇 시뮬레이터의 설계 및 구현에 관한 연구)

  • Concept of URC does "with me wherever when, and the robot" which provides necessary service to me can be simply defined. This paper uses URC technology and various robots are implemented with a design. That is, we are going to implement that a user controls a virtual robot by communication between URC server with a design. We used an intelligent robot simulation tool, and a developer was easy, and it was intelligent, and we were connected to active URC server, and modeling did a system for simulation to be able to do an URC robot usefully. It was connected to an URC system and various robots and environments were composed with 3D, and, in this paper, a design and implementation did an intelligent robot simulation system so that it was possible by various contents development through simulation. The URC communication protocol and the URC server were based on a Planet v.1.2 ; Network Protocol, CAMUS(Context-Aware Middleware for URC Systems); URC Server, SAM(Service Agent Manager) v.1.2 ; Service API module developed in Electronics & Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI).

  • An URC (Ubiquitous Robot Companion) is aimed for providing the best service according to situational information that it recognizes. In order to offer human-friendly and intelligent services, a robot middleware requires the technique to automate and control URC service processes, which are based on context-awareness. In this paper, we propose a context-aware workflow system to provide web services based URC services according to situational information. The proposed system offers a platform-independent command object model to control heterogeneous URCs, and supports web services based context-aware URC services. Therefore, the proposed system can increase the reliability of URC services in ubiquitous network environment, on which the diverse URC robots and platforms exist. And it can enhance the flexibility and adaptability of the functional and structural changes of URC systems.

  • URC robot offers necessary service anytime and anywhere by using a network to the robot, expanding the applicable service, keeping all the functions in itself, it undertakes functions for the causing problems through the network. URC software components are composed of HRI(Human Robot Interaction), robot action technology and others. We analyze the quality models based on ISO/IEC 9126, define URC components evaluation specification consists of 4 parts such as generic rule, instance rule, evaluation value and test method. And we define the quality process and test case design for URC, and show a testing and evaluation process for URC components.

  • In this paper, we propose a new remote control and monitoring technique using web-service technology for URC robot. URC robot needs the architecture which can be applied all over the variety hardware and software platform for supporting the several interface with external world in the ubiquitous environment. In this paper, web-service technology is preferentially deliberated how to adopt into the embedded environment and the remote control and monitoring technology based on web-service technology for URC robot is designed and implemented as to support the interaction with agent programs. It has been carried out through simulating and implementing this technology into the target robot called NETTORO and proved its practical worth.

  • In this paper, we present a design for URC (Ubiquitous Robotics Companion) robot S/W platform. The URC robot S/W platform is based on the Qplus/Esto which is developing in ETRI and applied for URC robot reference S/W platform that we use it in case of many different robots with same interface. We expect the platform to save the developing time, to improve the compatibility and to reuse the developed contents.

Anti-Allergic Effect of Ulmus davidiana Cortex on Contact Dermatitis Induced by Dinitrofluoro-Benzene in Mice

  • Objective: The root bark of Ulmus davidiana var. Japonica (Ulmi Radicis cortex, URC) is a medicinal herb used for promoting diuresis and treating dampness. In Korea, URC has long been used as an efficacious therapy for inflammation, burns, frostbite and skin diseases such as eczema and psoriasis. Methods: In the present study, we used 1-fluoro-2,4-dinitrofluorobenzene (DNFB)-induced contact dermatitis (CD) mouse model to investigate the anti-allergic and the anti-inflammatory effects of URC on skin lesion, histopathological changes and specific antibody production. Results: URC treatment, 10 mg/mL, effectively inhibited skin lesions induced by repeated paintings with DNFB. In the histopathological observation, topical application of URC inhibited spongiosis. In addition, URC lowered the production levels of total immunoglobulin and IgG2a in serum. Conclusion: These data indicate that URC has an anti-inflammatory effect that produces an improvement of skin lesions in CD mice.

  • In this paper, we present an implementation of the URC (Ubiquitous Robotics Companion) robot S/W platform which is based on the Qplus/Esto. We applied this platform to the NETTORO which is made by hanwool robotics for URC exhibition services and test the URC services on it. We expect this platform to be used in variable URC robots as standard S/W platform for improving the compatibility and reusing the developed components.

  • URC는 유비쿼터스 환경의 네트워크 기반 로봇이다. URC 로봇은 네트워크를 통해 외부 디바이스에 서비스를 요청하고 기능을 제공 받을 수 있는 환경을 가진다. 이에 따라 URC 로봇을 관리하고 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 외부 디바이스의 중요성이 증가 할 것이다. 본 논문은 유비쿼터스 환경의 URC 로봇 클라이언트의 서비스 요청에 대한 기능을 제공 할 수 있는 외부 디바이스인 URC 서버의 구조에 대해 제안하며, 제안하는 서버는 OSGi 프레임워크를 기반으로 한다.

  • As research for URC robot to advance the robot system dissemination and pracical use becomes active, also interest for robot platform and standardization is increasing. However, URC robot middleware does not involve a convergence with IT. Although it seems to be a high connection between robots and IT, the existing middleware has not considered different environments, thus making convergence efforts difficult. The middleware should improve their functions in order to synchronize with IT and to interact through formatted messages. In this paper, we present the necessity of the formatted message in the development of URC platform. In addition, design of the message protocol for the convergence based on the analysis of RUPI, OPC and SECS-II.

  • URC 로봇은 고성능 서버를 통해 로봇이 수행할 서비스의 일부를 외부 디바이스에 분담시킴으로써 저렴한 하드웨어로 로봇을 구현하고자 하는 목적을 가지는 지능형 서비스 로봇이다. SOMAR는 유비쿼터스 환경에서 사용자에게 다양한 원격 로봇 서비스를 제공하기 위한 URC 로봇 미들웨어로, URC 로봇 클라이언트와 이를 등록, 제어, 관리하는 서버로 구성된다. SOMAR 서버를 통해 로봇 서비스를 수행하기 위해서는 로봇 클라이언트의 상태정보를 모니터링하여 수행가능 여부를 판단해야 한다. 본 논문은 이러한 상태정보 모니터링을 위해 R-OSGi를 이용한 분산 Observer 패턴을 구현한다. Observer 패턴은 객체간에 느슨한 결합구조를 가져 URC 로봇 클라이언트 모니터링 프로그램의 개발과 수정이 용이하고, 플러그인 방식의 개발을 통해 다양한 프로그램 설치와 응용이 가능하다.
