Background: Growing evidence suggests that the members of the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) are important for tumorigenesis. HERC4, one component, is a recently identified ubiqutin ligase. However, the expression level and function role of HERC4 in lung cancer remain unknown. Our objective was to investigate any correlation between HERC4 and development of lung cancer and its clinical significance. Materials and Methods: To determine HERC4 expression in lung cancer, an immunohistochemistry analysis of a tissue microarray containing samples of 10 lung normal tissues, 15 pulmonary neuroendocrine carcinomas, 45 squamous epithelial cancers and 50 adenocarcinomas was conducted. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was applied to obtain a cut-off point of 52.5%, above which the expression of HERC4 was regarded as "positive". Results: On the basis of ROC curve analysis, positive expression of HERC4 was detected in 0/10 (0.0%) of lung normal tissues, in 4/15 (26.7%) of pulmonary neuroendocrine carcinomas, in 13/45 (28.9%) of squamous epithelial cancers and in 19/50 (38.0%) of adenocarcinomas. It showed that lung tumors expressed more HERC4 protein than adjacent normal tissues (${\chi}^2$=4.675, p=0.031). Furthermore, HERC4 positive expression had positive correlation with pT status (${\chi}^2$=44.894, p=0.000), pN status (${\chi}^2$=43.628, p=0.000), histological grade (${\chi}^2$=7.083, p=0.029) and clinical stage (${\chi}^2$=72.484, p=0.000), but not age (${\chi}^2$=0.910, p=0.340). Conclusions: Our analysis suggested that HERC4 is likely to be a diagnostic biomarker for lung cancer.

Purpose: The hand is frequently affected area in high voltage electrical burn injury as an input or output sites. Electrical burn affecting the hand may produce full thickness necrosis of the skin and damage deep structures beneath the eschar, affecting the tendon, nerve, vessel, even bone which result in serious dysfunction of the hand. As promising methods for the reconstruction of the hand defects in electrical burn patients, we have used the peroneal perforator free flaps. Methods: From March 2005 to June 2006, we applied peroneal perforator free flap to five patients with high tension electrical burn in the hand. Vascular pedicle ranged from 4cm to 5cm and flap size was from $4{\times}2.5cm$ to $7{\times}4cm$. Donor site was closed primarily.Results: All flaps survived completely. There was no need to sacrifice any main artery in the lower leg, and there was minimal morbidity at donor site. During the follow-ups, we got satisfactory results both in hand function and in aesthetic aspects.Conclusion: The peroneal perforator flap is a very thin, pliable flap with minimal donor site morbidity and is suitable for the reconstruction of small and medium sized wound defect, especially hand with electrical burn injury.

Three burning space concentrating mainly on the text of ${\ll}NeiChing{\gg}$, we got this conclusion by looking at a longitudial perspective of three burning space function, nutrient & defensive qi creation, movement and numbers. 1. Longitudial movement is the law of the universe, by looking at oriental medicine by the thought of heaven and man unity we can tell that longitudial movement concept is used to analyze the physiology of our body. And we can look at our body in a cubic movement suck as top and bottom, left and right, outside and inside, internal and external, upward and downward movement. 2. In Nei Ching the concept of three burning space is seperated in to four different types of three burning space which are three burning space as a fu, three burning space as a water metabolism and excretion organ, and three burning space by its position. 3. nutrient & defensive qi's movement in the channel is the same as the twelve regular channels movement in our body, nutrient qi circulates the yang part twenty five during the day and circulates the ying part twenty five times during the night. Since channel functions corresponds with the sun, moon, and the stars the ups and downs of nutrient & defensive qi's property varies with the difference of the periods. 4. By comparing nutrient & defensive qi's production and property with three burning space's positional property, we can see that three burning space's positional property comes out from the longitudial movement of nutrient & defensive qi.

Throughout intensive negotiations on the KORUS FTA and even after its ratification on March 15, 2012, ISD (Investor-State Dispute Settlement) has been at the center of many controversies within the FTA. Although the original function of the ISD is intended to be a protectional measure for foreign investors, there have been many foreign investors who tried to use the ISD as a tool to attack a government and nullify the public policy demanding tremendous amount of compensation. Many of the NAFTA ISD cases including Ehtyl v. Canada and UPS v. Canada demonstrate such a behavior by foreign investors. It is the right time for Korean government to conduct in depth studies on NAFTA ISD cases because the precedents provide invaluable insights including the legal reasoning by the decision making authorities including ICSID and UNCITRAL. The lessons we would learn from those cases would prepare Korean government for expected ISD claims by foreign investors and enable the government to maximize its efficiency in policy making process under a new international trade environment, the KORUS FTA.

In the future, the design of road should be convenient in using of high-technology information and it needs the design of alignment that is able to make the maximum vehicles inducement function appropriated for CNS(Car Navigation System). So it needs to analysis appropriately the alignment of road for the improvement design of road which is established and to make the design of road and the coordinate of the main points. Therefore, this research had acquired the road data by RTK-GPS to accurate the analysis of road alignment and compared with Total Station. As the result, we could acquire the design source of the road alignment using RTK-GPS. Also, it was estimated the accuracy after comparing the design with RTK-GPS coordinates. We made an analysis of the degree of slant or the ups and downs of surface. We made an analysis of three dimensional visual information which was included in GSIS concept and estimated the accuracy. Finally, we analyzed the earth volume calculation by comparing with Total Station.

Parkinson's disease is a neurological disorder characterized by tremor, bradykinesia, akinesia, postural instability, and muscular rigidity, which is caused by the depletion of neurotransmitters such as dopamine. Cooperative dental treatment is more challenging because of tremor of Parkinson's disease. In this case, a 47-year-old Parkinson's disease patient with chronic periodontitis was treated with full-mouth rehabilitation using conventional fixed prostheses and implant fixed partial denture, which attained satisfactory outcomes functionally and esthetically. Short term periodic follow-ups will be needed with consideration for the characteristics of Parkinson's disease such as decreased manual dexterity.

Published comics are widely recognized as a popularity-gaining media as well as Soap opera and the movies, and it also has a established characteristic of category. However, compare to the multimedia such as the movies, soap opera and playes, the research on direction is not yet satisfactory This research mainly tries to investigate on, first, whether the theoretically classified functions do actually practice their parts or not, and else, what other additional functions should be considered, by classifying the set up of basic direction functions, angles and range, which the most-cited angle and distance notion of 'Ahn Su Cheol' in comic education field. First, although we tried to approach with the expectation of angle and distance set up that will have a high frequency of certain set ups according to the atmospheres of comics of genre, unlike the expectation, they are rather displayed depending on the personal taste of the writers. The functional aspects of angles and distance set up are the fixing that are only limited in the space of representation, and it is the set up of physical space that should come first as the function of expressing the intensity. As we investigate the characteristics of comic direction, this research will help the range of comic direction to be broadened.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the response rate to arthroscopic release treatment in adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder (ACS) for patients with refractory to conservative treatment. Methods: In this retrospective study, 51 patients (age mean, 49.1±5.6 years) with unilateral adherent capsule underwent arthroscopic releasing surgery for the shoulder capsule. Etiologies of the ACS in 30 patients were idiopathic: 10 patients were affected after surgery and 11 patients following trauma. The patients were evaluated in terms of shoulder function, satisfaction rate, pain intensity, and joint range of motion (ROM) based on a Constant score, a Simple Shoulder Test, the visual analog scale, and four movements, respectively. Results: The mean Constant score before surgery was 48.2±3.5 and reached 74.4±6 and 77.0±6.3 at 6 months and the final follow-up, respectively (p<0.001). The mean scores of pain intensity, a Simple Shoulder Test, and ROM showed significant improvement at all follow-ups (p<0.001). Sex, age, and diabetes did not have any significant effect on patient recovery. However, patients who experienced ACS after surgery had poorer results than others at all follow-up points. Conclusions: Arthroscopic releasing surgery of the shoulder in patients with ACS refractory to conservative treatment produces rare complications and an effective injury response. It seems that patients suffering ACS following surgery have a weaker response to the treatment.

The objectives of this study are (i) to review current situations and problems of the occupational health care system with emphasis on reforming the organizations and services, (ii) to find out a disirable occupational health system model based on integration of the occupational health system and the general health system, and finally, (iii) to suggest policy implications in occupational health services in the light of objectives of the newly emerging national health insurance reform in Korea. The major policy implications of this study are as follows: 1. In the long-run, within the occupational health system, preventive occupational health services such as employees' physical check-up, working environment examination, etc should financially be integrated with industrial accident compensation insurance. Currently separately paying expenses for each different category of services by the owner of an enterprise should be disbursed once through the payment of contributions of industrial accident compensation insurance. And then, it is necessary to strengthen and expand the role and function of industrial accident compensation insurance to cover preventive occupational health services. 2. The occupational health system should be integrated with general health system for its effective management. For the short-term policy, it is necessary to eliminate fiscal and access barrier between industrial accident compensation insurance and national health insurance by means of ex post facto settlement of accounts. The duplication of employees' physical check- ups between under the health insurance program and under the industrial health services must be coordinated in a manner either through mutual authorization by the two parties concerned or through merge into the health insurance. 3. The intent of current employees' physical check-up system focused on detection of occupational diseases, should be converted to an idea of medical surveillance system or biological moritoring system. The introduction of medical surveillance or biological monitoring system is a necessary condition to build a positive, effective and inexpensive occupational health care system.

Objectives: This study aims to establish a Korean medicine doctor's range of services in the dementia relief primary care system based on the previously developed dementia clinical practice guidelines (CPGs). Developing a dementia relief primary care Clinical Pathway (CP) can aid clinically when the Korean medicine primary care doctor conducts treatment. Methods: We analyzed Dementia Korean Medicine Primary Care Model Data and then applied CP Methodology to develop the configuration of the Korean Medicine Primary Care Model. For patients with Alzheimer's dementia (AD), vascular dementia (VD), and mild cognitive impairment (MCI), the Korean Medicine Primary Care Model focuses on improving cognitive function, everyday living abilities and easing symptoms through interventions described in CPGs. The contents of the draft model later include references to already-existing CPs. Results: The study sites were chosen as Korean medical clinics connected to primary care physicians in the dementia-friendly model. The CP used a time task matrix version to arrange the clinical chronology, which included all examinations, diagnoses, and treatment procedures, from the initial appointment to follow-ups and the end of therapy. Conclusions: It anticipates that Korean primary care doctors familiar with dementia can use the offered therapies for the first time by creating the dementia Korean medicine primary care model in this study. This is expected to maximize the range of medical services provided by Korean medicine and improve the standard of medical treatment.
